"In general, it was not a good experience. They promised me a specialized filter for a vent in the house and they did not deliver what they promised. I kept having to call to have them" deliver it to me. They finally delivered it and I paid the rest of what I owed them.

"My family was sitting in my older son's room when we noticed an unpleasant odor. It took a couple of days to find the source of the smell - the vent in his room. I sent a rather" desperate (that is how I felt) sounding message via Angie's list and got a return call in the morning.
said he had a pretty busy schedule, but could stop by around 5pm that evening with his camera and take a look in the vents. His day didn't go as planned and he was delayed, but he still wanted to come out and look for a potential critter. After spending a 12hr day cleaning vents,
(and helper - I'm so sorry I forgot your name!) came out and spent 45 minutes looking around. I am so grateful he was willing to do this - it's truly above and beyond the call of duty. While they were unable to find an animal, they did find evidence of one.
was honest with me, gave me all of my options and let me think about it overnight so I could check in with my then out-of-town husband. We decided to go forward with cleaning and
had a cancellation 4 days later at 8am, so we took it.
arrived 10 minutes early and ready to work. They took their shoes off at the door, put guards up to protect all corners and very carefully carried their equipment over the hardwood floors. They were both polite, courteous and respectful. The duct cleaning went as expected. The dryer vent cleaning was apparently the most needed service. I am aware our dryer lint trap catches very little and the evidence after cleaning was clear outside. We added on furnace cleaning and HVAC cleaning because both were overdue -
was honest and not pushy about having this done. He said he could do it, or someone else could, but that it needed to be done. They finished up and took out their equipment - the only evidence that they were even here was a fresh smelling home. We will definitely contact them again for annual furnace and dryer vent cleanings.

Yes Jupiter. It depends on the severity of the situation, is the mold encapsulated in the insulation. If yes, than replace [insulation] it with new. Is it on the casing of the heater? If yes, clean it with a mold neutralizing metal cleaner. It's not a matter of finding something or someone to clean or address the existing mold. It's a matter of finding a contractor to rectify what is causing the mold grow. It's coming from excessive moisture in the air-handler unit. I can say with 100% surety you’re dealing with poor airflow and/or incorrect equipment sizing! Either issue will cause excessive icing of the evaporator coil, which leads to excessive condensate water in the system. The condensate will eventually overflow the drain pan leaving stagnant water in the air-handler housing, which leads to mold growth. I would not let any contractor do any kind of temporary repair, add any device like a UV light or air-cleaning product until the aforementioned is corrected. I talk a lot about this in my videos and on my website. It is the result of improper system design from unqualified contractors. There is a reason why some guys cost more than others, and this is one reason why!

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

There are varying opinions on the type of cleaning to have done on your air ducts.  My opinion is that it varies based on the type of duct work you have.  If you have solid material (typically metal) ducting you can have use a company that uses a brush to scrape the system clean.  If you have flexible plastic or foil ducts the solvent cleaners are generally a safer bet since the brushes often tear holes in the soft material and/or pull joints loose.  It really depends on what type on ducting you have.  You're ducts will collect all kinds of dirt, skin cells and allergens over time so if you see dicoloration around your vents it is probably time to get them checked and cleaned.

Also, don't stop at the duct work.  Don't forget your annual system check up by a licensed HVAC technician.  They'll make sure your system is running at peak performance, keeping it running efficiently and with as little impact as possible on your electric bill.  You can often save the cost of the annual tune up in the electricity cost saved.  If you have a natural gas system a bi-annual check and cleaning of the HVAC unit may be advisable to save electricity and gas.

if you have exhausted all of your choices I would call and put a complain in with the BBB then go to the DA and put a complain with them.  Then get a good lawyer and sue them for all you can get.

the answers in this on this page are all correct but you are using a bandaide to to cure the infection have a trust hvac tech open your system to see where the dust is coming from you more than likely have an impacted coil that need to acid wash to bring it back to oringinal anything left from the fire is still inbeded in that coil. just remember after that job to keep your filters clean change once a month in the summer and every two months in the winter.

Dryer Vent Cleaning reviews in Arnold

It went pretty well. I couldn't say if their fees were comparable to other providers. They took a lot of pictures to show us where the problems were and took the time to explain everything, which was helpful. Some of their interior work around the fireplace could have been cleaner, but that's being picky. All in all, pretty positive experience.

We could not have been more pleased with the service performed by
Arnold Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
Hall. Not only did he clean out the dryer vent from the exterior (where air blows out), but he came inside, removed the hose connection, made sure there was not any blockage, and cleaned the back of the dryer as well. Wow!!! While the quality of the service was top notch, the personal interaction was outstanding as well. Following the service, we received an invoice for the work performed via email. At our request,
Arnold Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
provided us estimates for window cleaning and gutter cleaning (via a follow-up email). Overall, a great experience!!!
- Harry W.

They completed everything they said they would do, and carried the tasks out in a professional manor, and had a great attitude. The communication from setting up the appointment, to the day after the job was excellent! We will use them again.
- Rod S.

Arrived about an hour late, but did send email indicating such. Came in and cleaned all the duct work that had not been cleaned in 30 years since built including animal hair. Sanitized duct work and cleaned dryer vent. Very professional. Would use again.

Update: While we got off to kind of a rocky start, Bill did finally obtain the part for my dryer and had his employee come and install it. He did come on Sat. and as per my request, called ahead so I could secure my 2 dogs.

When I contacted Bill, he arranged to come out on Saturday to look at my dryer. I asked that he call before he came so I could put the dogs in another room which he did. He looked at my dryer, told me I needed a new timer. He did try to look on line while at my home, but couldn't get the part number, so he called me back later that afternoon with a quote for the part and he said that it would probably be delivered either Tues or Wed. We made arrangements for him to come on Friday as I was off, to replace the part and he stated he would call me when he was on his way.
I never heard anything from him on Friday. I called him on Sat. morning (yesterday) and left a message; he called me back about 10 mins later telling me that he didn't think he had received the part, apologized for not calling me (but actually sounding like he didn't remember the conversation) and that he would check when he got home later in the day and call me.
It's Sunday and I still have not received a call.
I can't comment on his service expertise as I have not witnessed it. But as far as his customer service, at this point I can say I am not impressed. His lack of communication with me has been glaring. I have been without a dryer for 2 weeks. Had I known he could not provide this service for me, I could have contacted someone else.
$68 just to have someone tell me that my dryer was broken?
If he does eventually fix the dryer then maybe I can amend this report. But right now, I'm not hopeful

Very professional. This was a perplexing job since the
Arnold Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
was clean, yet when the drier was on, water would be dripping through the ceiling. A complete investigation of the vent system was done. No signs of cracking or blockage in the system. Making sure the coil vent was not the culprit, a new shorter one was installed. So far so good. When I ran a load of clothes in the dryer, there was no leakage.
- Monica C.

Helped trouble shoot a problem with our
Arnold Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
dryer. Took it apart and determined the problem was simply a blockage in the lint screen. Showed me how to clean it ourselves in dishwasher. We were ready to replace the dryer. Also did a thorough job cleaning the vents. Haven't had a problem since. Thank you for time and honesty.
