point: he was willing to do an onsite estimate, despite the fact that it was a relatively small job. Of the two other companies I called, one did a "drive by" estimate (coming into the yard to look at the gutter without an appointment, meaning that they did not check the job from the roof), and the other asked me to just send photos and did their estimate based on that. I felt much better getting an estimate from someone who took time to actually see the job and ask/answer questions.

Second point: I received a written estimate in the mail, and it included a copy of the company's insurance policy and business license. The estimate also included a reasonable head's up about potential extras (rotted wood beneath the gutter) and what those costs would be (happily, none of those became necessary). The time and care it takes to provide potential customers with this information is a sign that their attention to detail and fair, clear communication will be the same when it comes to the work.
Third point: On the day we agreed upon, a crew of 4 guys showed up promptly and got the job done quickly and well.
Fourth point: We had some other concerns about the quality of the work done by someone else recently on the roof and my husband asked the foreman his opinion on some sealing around a vent pipe. The foreman confirmed what we had suspected, that the roofer had cut corners and done the work poorly. He called his boss to see if they had time to do that repair.
Fifth point: Communication with their office manager throughout this job, from initial call to estimate, scheduling the work, and billing afterward, was clear and easy by both phone and email.
They were booked 3 or more weeks out, and it was tough waiting given our horrible drainage situation, but I'm really glad we waited rather than going with someone who had plenty of appointments.
I was gratified to find that a company that specializes in copper, slate and metal roofing gave me the same attention and courtesy that they would to their larger clients. They understood that I needed immediate assistance and took time out of their busy schedule to accommodate me. I would very much recommend them to anyone needing roofing or gutter work.
The clean up could be better since I found or I should say my mower found several things left behind by the works from screws to large round metal cut outs. Was able to easily work me in when bad weather changed my install schedule, but gave me a time frame of when they would be onsite and they were way early which I usually do not mind. This time though is caused some scheduling conflicts since I had worked other things around the installer's schedule.

The replacement, itself, took several hours during one day.
When they were finished with the work and cleanup, they walked me around the perimeter to inspect their work and told me not
to hesitate to call them should I have any questions or problems.
It has rained several times since the installation and everything appears to be working well.
Both of these men are very polite and generate a high degree of seriousness about their work and their business.
First job- We needed to replace just one window that a person who rented a home from us broke. Despite the fact that the project was just one window, us, took the time to do a thorough consultation about the pros and cons of each material available for a replacement window. The window we received is nice and sturdy. Because we liked the results of that project so much, we hired Hansons Windows to replace ALL of the windows in our home that we live in.

A terrific company - I would highly recommend them to anyone & certainly would be willing to use them again.
We have had some big rainstorms since the installation, and the gutters are handling the water exceptionally, with no leaks or other problems.
We think we're the best, and we can prove it.
