"we've been taking our house pets to Dr.
for many years. Over time he's cared for 6 dogs and 15 cats (not all at once!!). He and" his staff are always friendly, courteous and professional. His "tableside" manner is gentle and kind - the critters always know they're in good hands. In addition to his great manner with the animals, he's also mastered the art of dealing with the fur-parents. As we've been going to him for just under 20 years, he's guided us through good and bad times. Spaying, neutering, check-ups, dealing with porcupine quills and removing traps from paws (this is rural NY where people trap foxes and
). When the times came that illness was severe, he's been a rock and a gentle voice of reason. Dr. doesn't believe in treatment to just prolong a life of suffering, so he's been strong when we might not have been able to. No one could find a better Veterinarian anywhere. Plus his staff are all kind and terrific with the animals (and us humans!)

"When I dropped my dog off, on Friday, I told them that instead of him being there for 3 days, that I'd be back the following day to get him. I was driving," first to Clearwater and then down to
. I told them that instead of staying in
for 3 nights, that I was only staying there for the one night. I told them that I did not want a refund!! Between traffic & detours, I arrived at 1:53 p.m. Saturday afternoon. They closed at 1 p.m.. I was 53 minutes late!! However, they advertise that there is always someone there, with the animals, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week. There was no one there. I called, I sent a text, I called, again. No response. On Sunday, I began calling at 7:45 a.m., asking when I could come & get my dog. I sent an email. I took the 20 minute drive back there. I was outside the building for more than an hour. During this time, not one dog went outside for one of their 4 daily runs. Someone was there but, they would not answer the door. I called again, and again. I sent another text. No response. I called the Police. They could not help me. They did take good care of my dog. However, they were unresponsive to my pleas for the early release of my dog. They required my email address, home phone number, my cell phone number, and a emergency contact number. Being that they do not answer their phone after "business hours", they do not give you an emergency number to reach them!! They show beautiful pictures, on the internet, of their facility. Although nice & clean, my dog did not go there!! My dog was given a bath on Sunday. I was told that this was done after 3 days. I am wondering if he was laying in urine from 1:00 p.m. Saturday to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday which required the necessity of an early bath. Their "open hours" are different then what is posted on the internet. My dog had never been away from me for more than 7 hours, in a day, since he was a puppy. This experience was also depressing for him. It says, on their door, that all they do is for the good of the animals that they care for. However, my experience with them tells me that they neither care for the animal nor their owner. I do not, and will not, recommend them to anyone. I was able to retrieve my dog at 9:00 a.m., Monday. Even till now, I have not heard from them. As I told the Police, a response was all that was necessary.

Angie's Answers

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

Veterinarian reviews in Winona

We usually see Dr. Roesener and he is wonderful with the animals and us and very prompt. We also see Dr. Tremoglie and he is terrific but so busy he is less prompt. All doctors in the practice are kept advised of various cases and one doctor always takes calls on weekends if a pet is ill or hurt. The doctors research issues and conditions that they are not as familiar with and I know that Dr. Tremoglie has conferred with major researchers on various problems our pets have had. We have been going to the practice with our pets for 15 years and would never go anywhere else. They are very caring and sympathetic as well as professional.

The service went very well. The office and the staffs were very nice. It was 1:30 in the morning when we went there and the doctor that was on call checked him out, did some x-rays and explained them to us. They kept him for the night and treated him. They gave us an estimate of what it was going to cost and the actual cost was less which was good and we knew exactly what to expect. They never make us feel like we had to do whatever they said.
- Janis S.

They're excellent. we've been using them for about three years. There are two or three doctors there. I've had experience with two of them. They were both excellent. They're very kind and take the time to talk to you.
- Connie S.

we've used them for 3 different dogs, so we're probably talk about 18 years experience with them. They were recommended by other people. It's a small community, so word of mouth.
- Paul D.

we've been going there for years. They provide their health care and their boarding. They always are able to get us in. Sometimes, we're last minute, but they always are able to fit us in. They know our dogs now. They

It was fine. He was good. It was reasonable. I thought he was professional and knowledgeable. He wasn’t overcharging me. A lot of vets will run every test they can think of just for the fees and he didn’t do that. I liked him. Everything was fine. It was clean and professional and everybody was friendly.
- Sheila K.

They're great. It was great. They were quick. They have veterinarian service. I've used them for check-ups for my cats for years and this is the first time that I used their grooming and they're quick and my kitty is clean and happy and they take good care of him.
- Victoria B.

They always treat you and your pet as if you are the only client they have. They are a wonderful, dedicated and caring group of people. I was sorry when I had to see them for the circumstances but they do a great job taking care of my pets. I have been going to them since 2003 and I will continue to do so in the future. I cannot imagine going anywhere else.
