The wall in the basement -- probably not very difficult, I don't know, but in a spot that needed it and I hadn't thought of it,
I can't comment much on the main house interior wall yet, it's a big project involving ductwork and electrical lines.

Latest project: expanding a bath from small, pink-painted asbestos walls to gorgeous tile, stone floor, Universal Design aspects (safety). This project has been a challenge, transitioning from a very poorly-designed area to a pretty and user-friendly design. It has involved (with others on the project) moving the shower drain, figuring ways around tricky, poorly laid-out ducting, pipes that shouldn't have been exposed originally and more.

A number of things have got in the way of my letting JSC finish the interior, but the work he has done in the times he has been here impress me a lot. I have partially demolished a very-beautifully built mid-century house, marveling at the rabbetting, dovetail, pegs, etc. I have come to see that

It was a busy summer for advised him of our timeline. As August marched on, we wondered whether he would get to our project before the wedding (which would have been ok.) When he called about August 15, I told him that we wouldn't want to get things started if he couldn't finish by August 28.
The crew put up that deck in 4 days! They anticipated only taking out a portion of the patio, but once started,
The deck is beautiful and very well built. We noticed that the supports under the deck were placed 12 inches apart rather than the normal 16 or 18 inches, making the deck that much more solid.
Several neighbors commented on the attractive deck and said, "Wow, that sure went up fast!" Recently our lawn care professional left a note about the state of the lawn and added a postscript: "Love the new deck in the back!" We couldn't be more pleased, and feel fortunated to have found
