Business Description: Natural Green is a locally owned lawn & landscape care company whose mission has always been to use the most environmentally sensitive products available so that your lawn and landscape is lush and healthy for humans and pets. Whether you choose our Organic Program or our Traditional Program, you can rest assured it’s environmentally friendly. MOWING There are a lot of factors that go into properly mowing your lawn. Our mowers are all brand new and we use the latest technology to do the best possible job. This includes anti-scalping decks, superior vacuum systems to eliminate clumps and the ability to leave the best lines. Mowing with sharp blades is very important. We use freshly sharpened blades that are changed on a daily basis. This way you receive the sharpest cut possible. Many companies only sharpen or change their blades weekly, usually on the weekend. This means that the lawns mowed at the end of the week never get a good cut. Mowing at the proper height is also very important to have a nice lawn. We cut at the right height all year. It does require us to have to work a little harder, but it is the best for your lawn. All the color is in the top one inch. Many companies mow too short. Our mowing service usually consists of 32 mows per season. There may be times in the summer that it may not be mowed every week. We will still come out and see if there is anything else we can do to improve your landscape. This could include some touch up shrub pruning, additional trimming/edging etc. We also include edging of sidewalks and driveways, and trimming around trees and other obstacles with weekly mowing, unless other arrangements have been made. Bed Edging Keeping your flower beds edged is also an important part of maintaining a landscape. We offer this service to keep the edges of the flower beds crisp, reduce the amount of grass from growing into the beds and help hold the mulch in place. The sod that is cut away during this process is removed by us. Less backbreaking work you'll have to do! Mulch Mulching at the proper depth helps prevent weeds from invading your beds and retains moisture while helping to prevent root rot problems. Our technicians are familiar with proper mulching techniques to improve the appearance of your landscape as well as the health of your landscape plants. We offer several different types of mulch to suit your individual needs. Spring/Fall Cleanups Cleanups entail removal of debris including leaves, twigs, and other articles blown in by the wind and weather. Our green team will tidy up your lawn and landscape beds resulting in a well manicured property your neighbors will envy and you can be proud of! Your Lawn is Alive! This simple statement may seem obvious, but most people think of their lawns as a green carpet that stays green & weed free all season long. Our goal is to make your soil as healthy and happy as possible. We promote deep roots, more living organisms in the soil, better water and air circulation so the grass can get the nutrients it needs. We use a proactive approach to plant and soil health care. What we do. First, we diagnose your lawn and soil conditions. Then, we develop a custom program for your lawn to economically optimize the results. Since each program is unique to your property we provide only the services your property needs. We constantly review your property’s needs, adjust your programs and make recommendations to you when appropriate. We also spot treat your property instead of blanket treating for pests and disease whenever possible. This approach not only reduces costs; it is also a reflection of our commitment to protecting our environment. Fertilization (Natural or Traditional) Our fertilizer program is built using Minnesota soil & environmental conditions for turf that will be more resistant to drought, insects, and weeds while providing a thicker, greener lawn. To be effective, fertilizer must be tailored to your soil conditions and applied on a consistent and systematic basis. Weed Control Reducing weeds in your lawn requires year long attention. It includes preventative, general and spot applications. Most weeds, other than crabgrass, can only be treated after they sprout. We are always searching for safer and more effective methods of weed control and will continually improve your program as new developments are discovered Insect Control Damage caused by insects can seriously affect your landscape. Damage to a prize or established tree can affect the value of your home by thousands of dollars. Often the symptoms are not evident until significant underlying damage has occurred. Regular attention is a must. Grub Prevention Grubs can remove a lawn's root system before damage is evident. Grub prevention treatment virtually eliminates the threat.
