Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
, owner of
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
, has performed numerous projects for me, including building a 16'x16' four season porch addition with deck, including fireplace, overhead lighting, bay window, built in shelves and cedar deck. A few years later I switched to heated tile floors, which meant adding another footing, and also built a large maintenance free screened in deck with 'widow-walk' around the outside of it, using materials like Trex decking. Electrical service was moved, the garage interior was redone with lighting, plywood walls and proper insulation. A complete re-do of the basement bathroom was done, including heated tile floors, all new tiled shower with seat and overhead light, new toilet and vanity with granite counter. Every person who has seen that bathroom has been awed. Later we redid all the trim and doors in the upstairs of the home, as well as removed a wall between two bedrooms and recarpeted the whole area. In each case, the work was completed in a timely, professional manner. They stay working on the project for the most part until it's done, except when weather or materials cause delays. Manages subcontractors well. Fits in my little projects as he can and is honest about when he can do projects. Works with more experienced 'handy-men' who know how to fix old things and retrofit, and have watched his skills increase over the years. There are a few minor things where I think he could have done something a little different, but is receptive to such criticism. Have been a few rare occasions over these many years where I felt I had to nag at him a bit to get some small things done but these are minor considering the amount of work I've had done and I include this criticism only to show that no one is perfect. His prices are always within reason - not lowest bid nor highest, and for me, reliability and trust go a LONG way. I prefer to give repeat business to a good contractor/vendor. Uses good quality materials. Has high standards for subcontractors and listened when I had concerns with the work of a particular sub (not quality but professionalism). His work is exacting and all the neighbor guys comment on the straight lines, 90 degree

and overall quality. I can recommend him without reservation, though I warn the type A personalities that he (like me) is a B. But he gets an A for his work.

"A sales lady came to our door this afternoon while I was working from home. I couldn't believe how pushy she was, I humored her for about 30 seconds when she was telling me she thought our roof/siding/windows needed to be replaced (we just had them all replaced this year.....lol...). She claimed that just because they were redone doesn't mean her professional eye couldn't see something wrong with them if she had a

. She was very snide and condescending.
Anyway, she continued to persist, asking those same questions other people are posting. Even when I was clearly not interested I told her I should get back to work and thanked her for her time. She wouldn't let me, she kept pushing, over and over she wanted an answer to her question "what would you do for your next project in the house". Finally I responded "probably some landscaping in the back". She didn't like that answer because it wasn't construction in the house. So she continued to re-ask the same question.
Eventually I had to abruptly interrupt her and tell her to leave. I can't believe this company would have someone like this representing them.

"The work was performed about 2 weeks after the sales rep said it would be performed, but he never bothered to let us know about the delay. Further, when I called to ask, he never bothered to return my calls.

Then while they were installing the window, the workmen found that the sheathing had rotted and they stopped the work saying that they could not repair it and that I would have to find another contractor and then they would return when the sheathing was replaced. I should call
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
and re-schedule. All in all, I found
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
to be very unprofessional and do not plan to use them for replacing any other windows.

"Excellent customer service from
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
. He made an extra trip out to my house with one of his carpenters when I had questions about how the window units were going to be framed. He listened to me when I suggested how I wanted framing done for a certain area and made those changes with his carpenter. There was excellent communication with me from the scheduler; when they would start, how long it would take and giving me a day between the two stages of the job to stain the unfinished framing. When weather delayed the completion, I was contacted by
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
via telephone to reschedule finish date when weather cooperated. Both

and
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
were competent, hard-working, friendly and professional. When the project was finished, I noticed that several clamps were missing, holding the windows in place. I called
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
, and he came out himself that same day to install the missing clamps. When one of the doors started coming loose from the jamb, I called the
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
office, and
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
was out that afternoon to install longer screws in both doors, so there would be no problems in the future. I don't really know if
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
's estimates are higher, about the same or lower than other companies out there, but I wouldn't use anyone else for the products and services they offer.

"In the summer of 2007, after getting feedback from several house painters who told me that before they could do any work, I would need a carpenter to repair many window and door frames and replace curled wood shakes on my house, I contacted
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
and he was able to coordinate the whole job. He works with
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
, an artist and musician by night, and a carpenter by day.
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
started taking siding off my house whenever there were warm days in January and February of 2008. As soon as he was able, he started working on the wood frames, consulting me about things like replacing the garage windows, putting up a gutter on the garage, filling holes in a particular way, etc. Once he was done,
Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
's painting crew came out and completed the paint job in about a week.

Maplewood Window Installers Provider Name Locked
was extremely competent, on time, worked with homeowner to reduce costs, great workmanship, super good guy! Not the cheapest, but quality well worth the cost! When I need future handyman/carpentry work, I will definitely contact

"The quality is far lower than expected. The installation showed poor craftsmanship; the bow had to be redone on the outside of the house. A piece of one worker's tool plug got stuck in an outlet, causing a small fire, which they denied causing. An electrician showed them that they were at fault, so they fixed that. They placed a saw on our kitchen counter, cutting the

. They covered the cost of replacing that counter. The biggest problem is that the seat of the bow window separated from the front molding at the seam. They said we had spilled water on it, but we didn't put plants on the seat until we had plastic containers under them to avoid just that situation. They originally considered sanding the seam (not a good option because of the thin laminate), but now are refusing to do anything at all. They have quit returning e-mails about the situation and just left a message saying they consider the matter closed. This has been a very frustrating experience.

"Windows originally wanted did not look as good as ones shown later. Double hung, triple pane, fiberglas windows are new. Windows installed are fibertech. Installation people did a good job. Only complaint I have is the caulking. This company does not tool the caulk. There are reasons, but you may not like the look. Follow up adjustments for the post install adjustments was too slow. People installing windows also do the post follow-up. But the follow-up work was great. The head technical person really knows windows. I would do business with them again."

"Estimates were promptly provided for work, and work was completed without interruptions. With minor adjustments by company rep, windows have worked fine so far."
