They were very easy to work with. I scheduled an appointment online with their convenient web-scheduler. After the appointment was scheduled, I needed to re-schedule due to an unforeseen conflict, and I emailed Nick on a Sunday and got a prompt response saying to just let him know what day I wanted to update to, and it would be no problem. On the day of the inspection, the inspector was very friendly, and spent 3 hours walking me around the home pointing out any issues he found. He was very knowledgable, and very thorough in his inspection. I got the full report later that night, with pictures and details about the home, and issues categorized by severity. Overall I was very impressed and would use them again.

was very prompt and incredibly thorough in his inspection. He arrived over an hour before our appointment to start the inspection.

was constantly explaining everything he was doing and all that he was seeing throughout the house. His inspection was incredibly educational for me. His final report was extremely detail and included pictures of all issued he found. I would absolutely recommend
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
and should I ever need another inspection, I would not hesitate to use him again. To top it all off, his prices were very reasonable! Great experience all around!

We were in need of a one year inspection for our new home. We received a mailer regarding Absolute Home Inspections, and we were intrigued by the thermal imaging concept. We called and scheduled an inspection.
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
was on time, courteous and professional. He completed the inspection within a few hours, and we had the report shortly thereafter. He was very thorough, identifying several deficiencies throughout. These items ranged from raised shingles to cracked window frames. Fortunately there were no major defects with the home (foundation, structure, etc.).
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
was very good about taking the time to appropriate document each item. Thanks to the thorough report, the builder will be able to come and repair/correct most (maybe all!) items. The thermal imaging uncovered leaks around two doors as well as some areas in the ceiling which were missing insulation.
All in all, we were very satisfied with the experience, and would gladly recommend
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
to anyone. I will admit, the report may be slightly more expensive than some others (comparison anywhere from $275-350). However, I will say I am glad we went with this company. Even without the thermal imaging factor, the inspection and report were exceptionally thorough, and the thermal imaging sealed the deal. When considering things in the long run, and given the above-and-beyond experience, it's definitely worth it.

Since I had never been involved in a home inspection before, I spent quite a bit of time reading reviews of companies in the area to determine what they do and what reports they produce. I called several companies for pricing and found the prices did not vary widely, but there is some price differential, especially if there is a discount or coupon available. Some reviews may also give an idea of which inspectors within a company are more knowledgeable or helpful.
I selected
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
based on good reviews, reasonable price, and the information available on their website (brief professional bios of staff, parameters of the basic inspections, additional environmental testing available, contents of inspection report). Their online scheduler is very user-friendly, allowing the user to choose the inspector and the time of the inspection.
The inspection was done by

, assisted by

Parrish; they arrived precisely at the time scheduled and spent roughly two hours on the inspection. It included the roof, the exterior, the basement, and all interior rooms. All systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) were checked with attention to construction items and operations (doors, windows, built-ins). All appliances, electrical fixtures and outlets, and plumbing fixtures were checked for correct function.
I was able to follow along as they performed the inspection and ask questions as they came to mind. Wherever there was a defect or a needed repair, a photo was taken so that the location could be easily determined later. Since I am unable to climb on the roof,
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
took extra photos there.
The report was received by e-mail in PDF format at the end of the next day. The text is clear and concise and the photos very helpful. The whole process was very professionally completed and was just what I wanted for my purposes.

Go with another, any other home inspectors. They portrayed themselves as knowledgeable, but you would be better off having a 10 year child do the home inspection. These guys are CROOKS!
1. Our inspector,
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
, found no issues with the basement of the home.
It flooded the first spring.
2. No electrical problems....More /> The microwave caught fire from faulty wiring, first time we used it.
3. No problems with bathroom.
The tub leaked (poured water!) into basement, first time we used it.
4. Foundation of small cottage building was in good condition.
Within 1.5 years, the 65 year old foundation was crumbling and cracking.
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
said it was good when he inspected it and all damage occurred after we bought it. Imagine that! A foundation that is 63.5 years old just goes from "good" to hazardous in 1.5 years!
Their contract is skewed all to them. Even if they blatantly and purposefully miss or misrepresent the condition of things, we have no recourse. They must do this all the time ,and so their contract has been honed over the years to protect them.
We thought we were getting protection by having them do our home inspection...$23,000.00 later we know we weren't.

Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
inspected two homes for us. On both occasions,
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
spent almost a full day checking every inch more thoroughly than any inspector I have previously used, and produced detailed reports explaining any problems and the available solutions in
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
language that anyone could understand. (Even me!)

The first inspection saved us from buying a house that contained toxic mold and needed a completely new roof (which combined would have cost us in excess of $25,000.) The second inspection allowed us to buy our current home with confidence.
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
suggested several improvements, all of which we have implemented with excellent results. He has returned at no extra charge to discuss any questions that have come up since the sale

was absolutely great. He spent around 4.5 hours going over the house. He took approximately 165 pictures. His write up was approximately 17 pages. He combined the pictures he took with written narrative in his report, not only giving us a description but a view of the inspection results. Just as an example of his through approach, he put his ladder up and viewed the roof from every side of the house and at multiple

. He said he normally likes to walk the roof, but ours was very steep and it had rained, so he used binoculars to get close up views, and zoomed his camera in for pictures. Inside the attic he checked every corner and angle for any water damage. He even walked the rafters to get to the corners where he didn't have clear view. When he found a problem, which he did, he took many pictures and talked through the , walking the rafters to get to the edges. He continued that diligent approach to every aspect of the inspection.

We hired
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
to perform an inspection on a house we were looking to purchase, along with a pest inspection and a radon test. He arrived promptly - beating us to the house, even - and wasted no time getting to work.
Let's say this up front:
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
is persnickety in the best way. His inspection was thorough, and he made a point to look for many details that would be easy to overlook. He took time to check all the nooks and crannies of the house, including spaces in the attic, basement, and all around the exterior of the building. At the same time, he made a point to provide clear explanations of the problems he identified, and provided suggestions for how we could fix things if we chose to.
I'd easily recommend

Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
spent about 3 hours going over every inch of the house. I shadowed him for the first 2 hours and learned about the home's systems including the roof, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliances. The price was competative and included a $30 discount for being an Angie's List member.

We are attempting to repair our mother's house but we are from out of town. So we relied on Angie's List to help us find the right person. Mr.
Mankato Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
arrived a bit early for his appointment (nice). The home is in West Park, built in 1953, and has some settling and dampness in the basement issues. He spent the time going around the house with us. We had discovered many issues already and had talked to some contractors previously. However he was able to spot a major problem that no one had seen. And he gave us some comfort in knowing that some of the problems were easily fixed and not as serious as we thought.
His report came the next day by email and was very thorough and complete. His assessments were 'spot on' in all cases and now we can go ahead with confidence in contracting the work that is critical and stretch out the work that can wait.
We were very pleased with his promptness and professionalism and would certainly use him again or recommend him to others.
