Business Description: Originally known as the Animal Inn, our lodging facility was built in 1966 with 58 indoor/outdoor enclosures. A few short years later, business was good and a second building was added, providing even more space to care for pets. Don and Joan Tauer are the third owners of the facility. They purchased Animal Inn in 1986. Don and Joan have been active in the pet industry for over thirty years including showing in obedience, confirmation and breeding. In 2000, Don and Joan purchased an additional building on the premises and created the Suites, thereby branding the new business as the Animal Inn Boarding Kennel & Suites. In 2011, Don and Joan’s daughter, Dawn Larson, took over management of the family business. She increased the fun activities and services available to our guests and changed the name to Animal Inn Pet Resort & Spa. We are a highly accredited family owned and operated facility. Our mission is to ensure you that your pet will be treated with the highest level of care. We know that pets are part of the family and we treat them as such. We surpass the industry's highest standards of cleanliness, safety and care. Animal Inn has been a charter member of the Better Business Bureau for over thirty years, maintaining the highest rating possible.
