Pros: immediate response to any and all requests, highly flexible (we had to change our move date several times), positive and "can do" attitude, highly professional - these guys could write the training book for the whole industry, amidst all the chaos of moving they were the one calm in the storm, they provided all moving materials/crates/packaging and did not gouge us for it like some other quotes we received, extra care to package our belogings down to a screw that went with a mirror made it easy and logical to unpack, belongings came back clean and odorless after 2.5 months in storage, we felt like we really knew the management and team because they treated us like a true customer;
Cons: absolutely none; I wish the other contractors we used relating to our new home purchase and renovation even delivered a fifth of what these guys put forward

I was a Westy's customer for almost 4 years at another location and 6 months at this location. Paying an estimated $15,000.00 for storage at their facilities. Never had a rodent problem at the other location, my rent was never late for either room. I was a long term customer. I really wanted to combine my two storage rooms to one. Unfortunately at the other location they did not have the room to accommodate me. They did have a room big enough in white plains and for a little more than I was paying I got an even bigger room than I was originally looking for so I brought things my family was holding for me at their house to my house considering I now had the extra space for it in storage. I hired a mover and loaded up the truck from the other location. When arriving at the wp Westy's the room was not clean and had rodent droppings. The hallways had dust balls not at all up to par with the other location. I addressed the manager and she assured me that it was a problem they had from a woman bringing in food on another floor 8 months prior, it was taken care of and the cleaners just forgot to clean that room. After her assuring me several times and cleaning out the room I unloaded my things. I came back a few days later and more droppings were in the room! So now my house and garage are full of things that were supposed to go to storage and mice were going through my things and my kids things! The owners response (via the manager, they never called me themself) was to move my things to the other location in two separate rooms (the point in moving was to have one room) I was already getting 1 month free at white plains so they said 2 months free to move but then full price for the rooms which in total was $100 more a month than the room in white plains which was already almost $600 a month! Since I am a long term customer I guess the owner thought they would take advantage of the situation to make more money off of me. I said no, it's bad enough I have rodents going through my things because of them, but now ultimately their solution is for me to pay $100 more a month for two separate rooms! After several days they did not budge on their "offer" all the while they were talking to me as if they were doing me this huge favor by offering me a free month. Going on a week of them not doing the right thing which would have been to offer me a comparable room at the other location for the same price, (if the two rooms (which together were the same square footage as my one room) was all they had at least keep the price the same (I wasn't even asking for anything extra)) they then came to me with "options" the same offer as before and they would pay for the move or they would move my things to the c line which was one hallway over as if the mice decided they were only going to stay in the D Line, where my room was at the time! at no point did they say we'll set traps, call the exterminator and take care of the mice (indication that they know they have a problem). I then spent the next week arranging movers (I paid for) and finding another storage facility. I called them on a Tuesday to reserve their truck for the move. The next day (almost three weeks later) miraculously a room smaller than the room I had opened up at the other location at the bargain price after the few months free of $45 MORE a month, then there's the issue of where am I putting the things I moved into my house in anticipation on the bigger room. The manager also then said the problem 8 months ago was in my room. Originally she told me it was another room on another floor! At that point it's three weeks later I spent a whole week making other arrangements for my things where in that Time I received no phone calls from Westy's. My things are now at another facility in a bigger room for less money, a second move that I paid for out of my pocket. When I picked up the truck the same manager who was insulting and rude on the phone mentioned the room at the other location to me again and the free months as if she were dangling a carrot in front of my face. Westy's is overpriced, over rated and the arrogance of management and the owners is unreal. I've paid in total over $15,000 to store my things in this family owned business and never asked for any extras, just something comparable to what I had and they refused to oblige! I'm sick to my stomach. These are my things, my children's clothes and toys, along with Some very expensive items. It's sad and aggravating that this is the way they've decided to run there business.
