"We had a new roof installed 2 years back by
and we are completely satisfied. They did a top notch job. They even made a correction to the" roof contour that was not contracted and at no added cost, but a big improvement. So when we decided to have new gutters installed,
seemed like a good bet from previous experience. The sales person seemed quite knowledgeable, and their price fair. The problem is that they do not do the gutter work themselves; they use a subcontractor and our experience here was not quite so good. Unfortunately I cannot say they are better or worse than other suppliers since we've no basis for comparison. When we asked them to come back to check on drainage slopes and shingle damage, they indicated that the slope was fine and that the water puddling would quickly evaporate. But I could not steer the conversation to the issue with the shingle damage, which was pretty bad at one spot. (I have subsequently made some repairs myself.) Some of the downspout attachments are faulty also, which is fairly minor since other attachment points seem to be adequate, but says something about attention to detail.

"They were referred to us by a neighbor some years ago, and now they have worked for us in two different homes. This is the sec ond roof they replace for us, and" as always they provide excellent craftsmanship while staying on schedule On both occasions they have started the work on the day they proposed, they have a huge crew that can finish in a day or two. They do not even leave a nail in the property because they use magnets to clean afterwards. It is very impressive. In addition, one of the owners is always on the roof top working along his crew, making sure everything goes well. At the end of the project, they give you a packet with the receipt, guarantees, and it also has a video of the materials they placed and how the roof looks. They provide a fair price for their work, and are certified in many different brands of roofing installations. They always use all of the corresponding techniques and materials corresponding to a specific shingle brand. They also introduced different options for your project. At first, we wanted to replace the roof with the same cedar shingle (which was more expensive contract for them) and they instead thought the Landmark Pro would be a better and cheaper option for us. We are extremely happy to say they were right and we are thrilled with the results and extended guarantees on our roof. The Certainteed Landmark Pro roof, is guaranteed to last much longer than the cedar shingle roof we wanted and it looks so much better with our house. They also have a great eye for matching the roof color to the brick or stone of your house, and will get you many samples to make sure you make the right decision. Our house looks like it is new, and it was done by an architect. The color of the gutters they recommended, roof, copper chimney casings, and roof color look as if they were coordinated by a designer. Thank you B&R siding for another great job!

Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet.  #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious.  Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia.  In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Unless you are constructing a French Drain (dry well filled with rock or debris and no exit) style system you use a non perforated system.  Cut the plastic flush on the angle where it daylights if the slope is great enough,  If you need it river rock can be used to construct a dry riverbed type drainage ditch out from the daylighted drain.

Short answer: It's up to you. Many home remodeling contractors, including exterior remodelers, don't expect a tip since they've already provided a set price within the contract, but if you really feel that they've gone above and beyond, you may feel obliged to tip them. Angie herself answered a very simliar question in a recent column: Should I tip my remodeling contractor?

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.

The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.

When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.

If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.

Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation.  This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.

Gutter Installation reviews in Twin Lake

My gutters had not been cleaned for a while and were a mess with leaves and branches overflowing in places. United Gutter did an excellent job and my gutters look perfectly clean now. They also cleaned up after themselves very well. They were pleasant to work with and I highly recommend them. They called back approximately one week after my offer said they would call, but I did not mind that. I was not in a big hurry. They showed up and did the work when they said they would.

Gutter king gave me a quote over the phone based on satellite image and my description of the problem. I had about five feet hanging off due to ice damages. They wound up replacing my entire back gutter. They tested the job with a bucket of water. Looks great.

came highly recommended by a friend. Appointment was scheduled for 9/11/2015, & I planned around this appointment as we were eager to get the work started. On the day of appointment, the owner called during the time frame he was due to arrive, saying he was running late, needed to make a call & would be on his way. It is a bit of a drive to our house but his arrival took long enough that I was about to go run the errands I did not do in order to meet with him at the appointed time. It was lightly raining. He took a cursory look at a couple sides of the house, assured me that this type of work is often done in stages. He was very pleasant, informative, and seemed eager to possibly do the work. He said he'd need to get with the painter, bring him out for an estimate at a later date.
No calls until yesterday, 10/10/15, when a man called to see if I was still wanting someone to come out. I said someone is already hired. He said that was good, he was just calling to check, or words to that effect.
Words and behaviors didn't match. The follow through was poor. I don't know if they are too busy, didn't want to do the job that was needed, or what, but it would be helpful if a company would say so up front rather then be late, then later, then not follow through with what they say. Or, if one month later is the norm for following through, let the customer know that. It is mid-October. If I had waited for an estimate and then the start of work it might have been too cold for what's absolutely needed now.

It went very well. The only thing that got in the way was mother nature. But that tends to happen during the summer months in Florida. Overall, the project went very well and I would highly recommend this company.

. 8:43am I called and got his voicemail. I left a message stating that he missed the agreed time & that he shouldn't come by.
I contacted this vendor only because they received great reviews from Angie's list. I only use contractors that are recommended by people I know and I thought Angie's list was reputable, but now I have second thoughts about their reviews.
I don't want to sit around waiting for the contractor and him not even call to reschedule or to make contact saying he'd be late. That is unprofessional. I don't know if they do quality work and I won't find out.

installed guttering for the garage side of the house. The price was fair and the work was done fast and well. The job was impressive enough that I've had them do 2 additional gutter drain projects. They are good at communicating with customers and their crews are courteous, competent, and professional.

No issues. Went with lower bid. It was probably a mistake. I may have to have these guys come out to correct the other guys' errors. This company came very highly recommended by my parents who also had work done by them.
I should know by now (56 years old) - mother always knows best. ;)

From the initial contact, initial estimate, and initial installation everything was great. Except for miscommunication for the installation time (originally I expected 9 AM, they came at 2 PM), and one of the crew leaving his very expensive Milwaukee driver, the first installation was fine. There was a couple problems in that two corners, one with a drip, and the other missing over 50% of the water from the front roofline resulting in the same

we were trying to eliminate.
I liked the work overall, and the courtesy and professional demeanor of the original installers, so when my wife asked to have that final line installed, I requested a re-quote to add. It was provided to me in a reasonably timely manner, although higher in price than I expected, based on original work, so I asked for a better price. He accommodated me with the stipulation that the timing be based on their presence near my home.
The appointment was set for the second installation, but the installers never showed up. It was raining that day, and I understand calling the job on account of rain, but received no call. Having informed the company in no uncertain terms that this is unacceptable to not notify the clients, they apologized and rescheduled for today (Saturday, September 10, 2015). It is now almost 5:30 PM. They confirmed the installation for today by phone yesterday or the day before, but not a time.
This is the second no-show without notice. Granted it is very hot today (~100 degrees), and if they are called on account of excessive heat, I can accept that.
What I cannot tolerate is total incompetence by the management of this company to keep their clients informed.
It seems abundantly clear that they abhor repeat business.
IF they decide to do the remainder of the job, I am going to demand the current payment be reduced by 75% or I will not have it done. However they still need to correct the issues, or I will be demanding a full refund of the original $750 job, and if they refuse to provide it, I will be forced to take them to small claims court. In addition, I will have to contract with another company to repair their errors, and I will have to go after

for that cost as well.
They do not respond to calls very well. They tend to be indignant with the client when they are 100% in the wrong and not showing up or calling to advise the conditions are not safe or healthy or whatever the heck the reason is.
Note: the amount shown is for both jobs, the original plus the add-on, and that sum is rounded up to the thousand

C on quality due to totally missing the front corner, and missing part of the rear corner in addition to the incompetence factor - that is quality is not just the workmanship, but customer service as well.
Personally, I am beginning to be sorry I even heard of this company, much less decided to do business with them in the first place.
First job: ~ $750 paid
Second job: $200 - work not executed, two missed appointments without notice.
