"Copy of email I sent to
(owner) and his son,
, who runs the business. Comments in < > are additional info" I've added for clarification. -- I recently contacted one of your affiliates (
) to setup another auction and we came to an agreement that she would begin at the end of August. I contacted her on the 25th of August and she stated she was quite busy and she would let me know the end of the next week (Sept 4th), I contacted her again on the 4th and received no response. I contacted her again on the 5th and her exact text to me was “I am trying to figure out next week. Do you want me to let
know and he can find someone else to do it for you?” My answer was no, I’d already waited on her for five weeks. The last thing I wanted after spending weeks tearing up my house amassing auction items was to go to the bottom of someone else’s task list when we’d already come to an agreement. She finally agreed to begin today, September 9, at 9:30 am. She arrived and I took her to the area I’d set aside for staging and she then announced, “I never wanted to do this auction. It was my understanding that you were going to have everything setup and sorted.” Excuse me? Only a fool would agree to this arrangement. <At our original meeting in early August> She stated any auction under 3k carried at 45% charge for her ‘services’ yet I was to do all the work for her then PAY her for what? To take photos? I told her she was mistaken and her response was she had just done an auction ‘like this’ (how she knew what this was is beyond me as she didn’t look nor ask) and made $2.63 per hour. Whatever she made on any other auction has nothing to do with me yet I’m the one who pays the price for her bad experience? Is that how this works? It was at this point I told her to leave my house. I’ve been a customer of
for close to five years and I’ve spent thousands of dollars on your sales. I have a lot of experience with auctions and I know what sells, what doesn’t and what I can reasonably expect from the sale of an item. I didn’t spend weeks putting together an auction to make pennies an hour and I found her attitude insulting. I had informed her at our original meeting what the auction would include (housewares, antiques, glassware,
, tons of costume and gold jewelry – and I had it all neatly listed in a spreadsheet) and she agreed to do the auction. Where she got the idea I was going to do all the work for her, I
’t have a clue. What I do know is if she had no intention of doing the auction she should have been up front about it rather than wasting my time. This has been a complete fiasco and has left a really bad taste in my mouth. At this point I’m unsure if I am interested in going forward with any auctions as a seller or buyer with
. Two things I dislike the most are liars and wasted time and I received both in abundance. -- End of email I have not received any response from my email sent to
which tells me exactly how they view the satisfaction of their customers. I am now left with half my house boxed up and no auctioneer.

"Theirs is a service business. Apparently they do not grasp the concept of "service". I have many antiques, china, silver, prints, and a few pieces of" antique furniture to sell. They refused to meet with me unless I sent them photographs of the items I want to sell. Folks, do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else.

Auction reviews in Trenton

From the first visit to our home, every detail was professional. Everything promised was delivered. We felt very secure with them in our home and handling our items for sale. At the end of the sale, we purchased their offer to load everything and totally empty the house. Our check from the sale arrived when promised, and the whole experience couldn't have been easier. We will, and have, recommended this company to others.

I reached out to
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
about liquidating the remaining items in a home my father had moved out of.
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
was quick to respond to my calls, professional during our meeting, and communicative throughout the process. The house wasn't a complete estate, and we wanted to empty the house quickly, which meant holding the sale during the off season.
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
was upfront about how he would address both of the issues in order to take care of us quickly, which I greatly appreciated. He also agreed to a job that is much smaller than he normally takes on in order to help us out during a difficult time. I will definitely turn to him when it is time to liquidate again! Payment was agreed upon during our first meeting and there were zero upfront costs. I received final payment immediately, and
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
has continued to follow up to ensure that we are happy. I appreciate his services.

I contacted
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
by telephone. He was driving and said he would capture my phone number and call me back at a better time. He called back later. We discussed a few details of his fees and sale-date availability. He asked what city we live in, and I responded
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
. He said he would call back with a date for an evaluation of our household items. He didn't. My husband called him a few days later.
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
said he was busy, and to please call back after 6:00 p.m. My husband did, and left a voice mail message.
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
never returned that call.
I emailed some pictures of our furnishings, thinking it would help to see that we have clean, quality items purchased at nice stores. We received no response.
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
was nice on the telephone, but I really think that he lost interest when I told him we live in
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
, and not Mission Hills or Leawood. He lost out on a nice sale that two other sale providers jumped on.

Two people recommended
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
's service. I left a voice mail message August 25th. One week later, she still hasn't responded. We hired someone who did.

We needed to clean out a family members house. After trying to accomplish this on our own for over a year we were at wits end. In 2 days they made it painless and our lives stress free Many thanks to

I contacted the provider to see if they could conduct a house call to appraise some of my items in my home and they sent a message stating that they could not help me with that at this time. Offered no referrals or such and the
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
of the email was similar to a brush-off. I was not impressed.

I went to their office on 8/17 to set things up.
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
then came to my mother's house and looked around. He said that because of some mold, mildew, and cigarette smoke issues in the basement, he wouldn't be able to take much from there. He also said he wouldn't be able to take the organ or working TV's ("they just would't sell"), or mattresses and box springs ("legally can't sell).
He said with the furniture and belongings left, that we wouldn't make much, but we'd make "some". We set an appointment for 8/26, at 9 AM for 3 to 4 people to come to the house, sort through it, and take the stuff that they think would sell. He said that they'd be done in about 3 to 4 hours.
9 AM came and went. I called at 9:45 to find out where they were and was told that
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
would have to call me back. At 10:15,
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
called me back. He said that he had an estate "similar" to my mother's last week that just didn't sell because of the "cigarette smoke issues". He didn't think we'd be able to sell anything and didn't want me having to pay. He also said that he'd been trying to reach me to let me know, but couldn't.
I think they were very unprofessional in setting up an appointment and then just not showing up. My phone has no record of them calling me even once. If the stuff is crap, say so. don't set an appointment. and just leave people hanging.

Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
and his staff are honest, professional and friendly. I would not go to anyone but them to sell possessions at an auction. Honesty and trustworthiness are paramount in working with an auction house and
Trenton Auction Services Provider Name Locked
personifies these traits. He and his staff are the best.
