Plainwell Roofing Contractors Reviews

"The owner was totally unresponsive. I sent dozens of communications to the company about the quality of work and the overall presence of the sub contractor. to this date, I have never recieved a response!
The first issue I had was that the contractors left my yard and decks covered in trash, not just from the tear off, but soda cans, snack wrappers and cigarette butts. I was furious. The sub contractor finally came back and cleaned up, but only after he and i had a meeting of the minds.
The quality of work was horrendous. I had to basically tell the sub contractor how to do his job . I have video of the first sections he put on. they were beyond crooked, seams were going different directions, screws were not lined up, the facing was beyond ugly.
Still no response from the company I paid. :(
The sub contractor came back and he and I had a meeting of the minds. He redid most of the roof and it is much better, but still not perfect. And they broke railings on my decks and left the dormers cut out in uneven lines and just not pleasant to look at.
I would stay as far away from this company as you can get.

did a great job! Fast and very professional. The crew was friendly and punctual. They took 2+ days to complete the big job and the heat was unbearable. Each day they cleaned up and hauled the "stuff" away, so my house never looked like a work zone. When the work was completed, everything looked the way it did before they came...except the beautiful new roof."
"We hired

lived in our subdivision. We knew his family. It turned into one, long, drawn out nightmare. He didn't start for months, made promises consistently that he would not keep, didn't show up for weeks at a time, always with a reason, of course. We started our daughter in the district of our new house because we were promised work would be done shortly after school began. We ended up driving our daughter to the new school district for the entire school year. They constantly asked for money and we quickly learned that the only way to motivate the job to progress was if they needed cash and we woudln't give them any unless certain jobs were completed. We finally fired them and hired a second contractor.

When they were finishing up the tasks we hasd already paid for but they had not completed, they smashed our sliding glass door. There were delays in this being fixed because

had not pad his bill there!

Months later, we were threatened with a lean on our house because an electrician that worked under
Plainwell Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was still waiting to be paid.

In the last year, pieces of siding have already come loose; the bar in the master closet fell and we found the brackets were mounted with a couple of nails and glue. Pieces of molding have come off the upstairs laminate flooring, and others were never permanently attached at all.

The best part is our hardwood flooring. Because boards were not installed correctly, we have gaps all over our greatroom floor, One gap is in the kitchen and is just under two inches wide. We cover it with a rug!

The reputation of the

was a pleasure to work with. He has over 30 years of experience to draw on. He suggested ways to improve our ideas and recommended high quality materials. His workers are experienced and completed their tasks in a timely fashion and with high quality.

returned my calls promptly when I had questions during the three week project. The work was completed on time at the cost estimate we were given. I would have no reservations in recommending this company for roofing or siding work."
"I loved the representative that worked with us. He is very attentive. The people who did the work were friendly and respectful. They did the job in a timely manner and they cleaned up well after themselves. They are coming back to do our gutters in 2 weeks."
"He came to our house and gave a great description of what he was going to do put up USB Board to protect our house form debris. Which he did not do that nor did he give a a dumpster till 3 days late and tried to tell me that there was a list to wait for one. Also he tried so scam us with second hand shingles I found out that he wanted to give us bad shingles and say they were number ones. He also did not remove all our shingles he left some that he put tarpaper over them to hide them and left messes on my roof and he has two children working for him that made a bigger mess when they new they would not get more money out of me. Also he did not give us a cancellation notice for 3 days to see if we changed our minds and he did not remove all the trim before putting the tar paper down. He also did not provide us with enough Ice and water shield the way our roof is designed. He talked a very good job and got hot under the collar when I questioned him on how he does his work. We ended up firing him 3 days in the job because were just disgusted with the quality of work that he did. He lied and tried to scam us. We gave him half down and we are still trying to get back 4,000 dollars. We hired another company that gave us a great roof but the down side is that we had to finance the new one and still trying to recover the money we gave him for breach of contract."

and Son are very pleasant to work with. They are good listeners to the customer's desires and ideas, have great ideas themselves and truly work with customers to have very positive outcomes. They are great at communicating when they will at your home to work and always call if there needs to be a scheduling change or if they have questions or other aspects of the job that needs to be discussed. Neatness is very important to them and they pay close attention to that aspect of their work as they progress on what they are doing. In the event of sub-contractors needed for the job, they have associates they work with that hold their same, high standards. They are very capable of providing many different services both inside and outside and have provided both at my home -- always professional and priced appropriately and fairly. I am thankful that this business is available locally. My remodeled bathroom/laundry room is just beautiful! This is a top-notch provider!
