"I've never bought a car from
, but I probably will in the future. I have them perform all of my service and body work that I need done. They are fantastic," they always have a loaner car available and I never have to worry about being scammed on repairs or having stuff done to my car that doesn't really need done.

"We were out of town buyers buying a used car for our student daughter. We had very limited time so used this service. We take some blame for not doing more careful research in advance," but in short, we overpaid for a car described as in excellent condition, but turned out to be anything but. Multiple defects quickly showed up and several expensive repairs were needed in a short time. Car was a lemon. Do not recommend this service.

"He stated they just needed to be sanded and repainted, everything else was fine. I sanded them and found rust holes thru out, took the end cap off the tubular bumper and it was filled" with rust and metal
. These were not as advertised. I called
the next day requesting to return them and get a refund. He told me he sells his junk on craigslist and I bought it and he would not do a refund. He then hung up on me. I launched a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, they stated they have multiple complaints on his business. He did not respond. I do NOT recommend anyone do business with

Avoiding dishonest car dealers can be just as hard as finding a car to buy. Here are three scams that are telltale signs of an unethical salesperson.

Sounds like your biggest problem will be narrowing your list to a limited number of models, and deciding what brand names you are willing to consider to narrow the field.

You can search for websites blogging complaints for each model you are considering to see how they rate with users, and you can also go to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website at     www.nhtsa.gov     to see how many recalls there have been on a specific model and year.

Most dealers these days have websites with their listed prices for new and used cars that you can browse to get an idea of available listed prices.

I would also recommend that you check out the used car values (free) for models you might be interested in on    www.edmunds.com    and on Kelley Blue Book  -  www.kbb.com

Those 2 sources will give you a lot of negotiating power, because they list what the dealer pays the manufacturer on new cars, shows what people have been paying for each vehicle model and model year, and shows used valuations also. There are undoubtedly other such sources also - these are just the ones I have used and seem to be the best known.

It went great. The used car we bought was cleaned and prepared for us. The inside and outside were polished - It was as clean as any new car I've ever purchased.

I purchased a vehicle from the

location of M&F Auto for my sister, who is disabled. After the purchase was complete and as we were leaving, the Sales Manager handed us one key to the vehicle and told us there was only one key. I expressed my dissatisfaction the the Sales Manager and then contacted the owner, who said that they do not always get a second key when they purchase a vehicle at auction and declined to obtain a second key for us or pay for a second key. I feel it was unethical for the Sales Manager not to have told us during negotiations that there was only one key. The key is a $243 expense that we did not expect to incur, especially for a one year old vehicle for which we paid $19,000. We have also found there was no manual in the vehicle and have had to incur that expense.

The people at

are always very nice. I wait longer there for an oil change than a regular oil change place, which is a little annoying. They do have water, coffee and a TV to pass the time. However, I had a problem when I asked them to remove the soft top and on my Jeep and replace it with a hard top. They did not leave me all the bolts to the soft top, so I was not able to use it again. They also broke one of the rear window wiper-fluid tubes. I was leaking fluid in the back of the Jeep for weeks. When I figured it out, I had to call around and have the part specially ordered. There work on this was shoddy. Now, they did good work on a mechanical repair, but with the long wait times and bad experience with the soft top, I am leery to go back.

Everything went much more smoothly than I expected. I picked out the car I wanted and gave them a down payment. They registered it that day while I drove home, cleaned out my old car, went to the bank to get a bank check and drove back to pick up the car. It was ready and waiting when I got there and in a very short time I was driving out in my new car! You can't beat that.

We brought my folks who are already

owners to look the travel trailer over. They felt it was well made and designed. We made an offer but they were unable to take it at this time. They thought their circumstances with this trailer may adjust in the future as may our circumstances so we will check with them again in the future if we don't get one somewhere else first.

was a very well informed, courteous, attentive and non-aggressive salesperson. Truly enjoyed working with him and would again.

Very good experience. Service rep found a loaner even though they initially said they had none available. Service done quickly considering the amount of work requested.

We left the car in the morning and returned in the afternoon. Because it had been one year since previous service we asked that they do the annual change of oil and filter, and everything necessary, given the age of the car. One brake light bulb needed replacement.
(When we picked up the car one of us had carelessly left a pair of good leather gloves on the cashier's desk. A few days later one of the members of the Mercedes team who happened to live near us delievered them to our home.)
