"He examined her foot and ankle, discussed a treatment plan, and took x-Rays. The x-
showed a tumor which was unrelated to the ankle issue." He sent us for additional tests and got us an appointment with a top notch specialist at Childrens hospital. I felt like we had someone on our team working on the logistics of getting to the best bone specialist in the area. We were treated like highly valued patients and this was the first time my daughter saw dr.

"Dr
did a great job of removing the toe nail, relieving the pain, and preparing the toe for the return of my nail. He actually advised me" to
the nail so that it wouldn't grow back thick and not so pretty. I decided against this advice but now wish I had heeded it as the nail has come back very thick and problematic. Dr
is a very personable doctor who does a great job of explaining your options and then explaining the procedure as he goes .

Podiatry

Podiatry focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and medical care of patients suffering from problems related to the feet, ankles and lower legs. Procedures range from simple toenail care to surgery.

This being a teaching clinic in coordination with the Des Moines University's school of podiatry. I believe my care was very good due to the student that was with the doctor. I had several x-rays for the foot in question and I enjoyed listening as student Dr. was explaining why things were being done and what they were looking for.
Dr. Feilmeier made me feel relaxed and explained options. X-rays were shown to me and explained. I felt well taken care of and will return if necessary.

All went well. I was prepped and did not even feel the injections in my great toe due to the application of

chloride. The excision of the toenail was uneventful and is well into the healing process. I was well instructed as to the wound management. I would surely see this doctor in the future.

Examined ankle and tendons around it. X-rays are on site so she could see if there were any fractures. Prescribed walking boot though using an ankle brace works better after a while as the walking boot caused more problems with the uneven gait. Bedside manner is somewhat abrupt and not friendly at times but she is effective and knows podiatry well.

At my third visit Dr
Marshall Podiatrists Provider Name Locked
was condescending and actually kind of rude. My feet were not getting any better. I had brought in some information about a particular shoe I had read about online and I asked him if he would take a look at it when he had a

and give me his opinion. He said he would not because he had neither the time or interest in looking at something from the Internet. He was very arrogant and insulting. I don't need to be treated badly by a doctor, especially one from whom I am getting no relief for my problem. That was my last visit to Dr

Dr Chairman insisted I needed urgent surgery on my right foot but could wait to do bunion surgery on my left. He told me that my right big toe was so ridden with osteoporosis that it could break at any moment and that I should avoid exercise. He said I needed full foot orthotics in both shoes. Two doctors later, I do not yet need bunion surgery. My toe is fine. He failed to see arthritis in my right foot or to diagnose the pain in that foot as arthritis not bunion pain. I was fitted for a shoe insert, not an orthotic, for my right foot and have no more foot pain. I am permitted to exercise without restriction.

I had previous experience with Foot & Ankle Specialists because I lived on the north side of town and always felt like I received great treatment from the doctor there. I then moved to the south side of town so when I started having problems with my foot, I called the Foot & Ankle Specialist office near my new home. Initially, I thought Dr.
Marshall Podiatrists Provider Name Locked
was "on his game." He seemed very knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly what needed to be done. I initially went to see him because I was having severe pain with a bunion on my right foot. He told me that he could do the bunionectomy, but that wasn't the worst of my problems, I needed a foot fusion. I have a congenital disease with my feet and had my left foot was fused by an Orthopaedic in 2007 so this really wasn't a surprise to me. I was told that eventually, my right foot would need to be done. It was a very extensive recovery but I thought with this surgery, he would realign my

correct all the problems. I had the surgery on my right foot in September of 2014. Everything seemed to go well but once I was finally able to get into a regular shoe again (a tennis shoe), my foot was curved and still swollen and the pain from the bunion was still there. I went back to Dr.

and he said that I would need to have another surgery and that one of the bones in my foot hadn't healed (it had been 9 months since the surgery date) "but it was coming along". I decided to go back to my original orthopaedic for a second opinion (he had fused my left foot), he looked at the x-rays with another doctor in his office and told me that none of the bones in my right foot had healed and I am walking on a broken foot; that is why I am in so much pain. He also said that he would have to go in, undo what the other doctor did and re-fuse the foot, clean out the bunion area and possibly re-fuse that because arthritis had set in and he would have to do a bone graph so the bones will heal. This of course, was a new year, another Deductible ($1500) and co-pays. I asked Dr.
Marshall Podiatrists Provider Name Locked
's office about this because I felt it was related to the other surgery and that Dr.
Marshall Podiatrists Provider Name Locked
did not correct what I had originally come to see him for. His office said, no, it's a new surgery so I would be recharged the full amount again. At no time, did Dr.
Marshall Podiatrists Provider Name Locked
offer to use a bone stimulator to stimulate the bones that were not healing. I really feel like I was taken advantage by Dr.
Marshall Podiatrists Provider Name Locked
... I realize there are risks with surgery but I feel taken advantage of because he did not correct what I originally came in there for and did not tell me the truth about my bones not healing.
