visited my house one week before installation, we talked about the job. He told me he would work up a price and email me an estimate which he did promptly. I" thought the price was an excellent price and asked when he could do the job. He told me he could do it Sat Oct 11 as long as we did not have rain. We had no rain,
and his worker showed up on time and did a wonderful job. They worked like they were working on their own home. Very neat and very professional This is a company I would urge others to use if you want a fair price and an excellent installation.

"As soon as we signed the contract and gave him a deposit in April 2014, he came out and took the cover off and started tearing out the steps. He and 2 helpers worked approximately one" hour. When he didn't show up for one month I called him and he said he was planning on coming out. They did and worked another approximately 2 hours. The pool had become a nasty, awful, smelly mess for over 2 months. By June I started calling
the owner as I had told him we were having a 4th of
pool party and he was running out of time. His communication throughout the process was an F. His concrete guys did not put anything down on our Evergrain deck and put permanent scratches and gouges in it. He did not take care in doing a good job with anything. We met with him after he installed the steps and they vibrated when you walked on them. (Which is what our old steps did and why we were spending the money to replace them.) There was nothing under them and for us that was a problem that every pool company that looked at our steps said we needed to fix and we wanted him to address that before he went any further on the project. He said once the water was on them they would be fine and he dismissed our concern. When the liner came in the last week of June it didn't fit so they had to reorder it. I once again reminded him that our party was
4th. He didn't bother to overnight the liner as he didn't want to spend the money to do it. We were still filling the pool with water on
4th. It is 33,000 gallons and he didn't bother to rent a meter so we could get it filled from the fire hydrant. We had a house full of people and no water pressure to shower, do laundry, dishes, water flowers. For me it was TOTALLY aggravating and preventable. I had no time to shock the pool or get the chemicals balanced. When the second liner came in on
3( He said he would keep us updated on where it was in the delivery process and he did not) he didn't bother to clean the bottom of the pool so there were debris under the liner that we walked on in the shallow end. When we were filling the pool you could see them in the deep end too. Totally unacceptable. All they would have had to do is take the time to sweep/vacuum it out. I had to stand over him to tell him that I wanted the divets and cracks filled and repaired, but I surely thought they would at least clean the bottom of the pool. I spent one entire day a few days before the party tearing up my landscaping as he said he couldn't put the liner in without access to the junction box. Late in the day another company that was installing a new pool deck told him how to do it without finding the box. I wasted a whole day making a huge mess in my landscaping days before the party. Needless to say when he gave us the bill we told him we would pay it when he fixed the steps correctly. He DID find a foundation company to pump a foam under the steps...which we had requested when he put them in. That solved the problem of nothing being under them but we had to drain the shallow end of our pool for them to do it. They crawled under the liner to get the biggest rocks out. In the end we had to pay the water bill of approx $500 to fill the pool back up and also $500 in chemicals to get the water balanced so we could close the pool. I truly do not understand how he runs his business like this. Every problem or issue could have easily been prevented if he took the time to do his job properly. His attitude throughout the project was very poor and extremely frustrating for us.

took away our nightmare of a concete deck and turned our back yard into the oasis we had once envisioned!
and his team always arrived" when they said they would, or would immediately communicate if any delays were necessarry (e.g. rain). The job was thoroughly explained at every stage, and the crew leader (
) was extremely customer focused, helpful, and patient.
showed up every day to inspect the site as well. Besides the deck renovation,
also addressed a couple of maintence issues to the equipment, including changing out the sand in the filter, which we had never been advised to do before by any other company. After seeing the condition of the old sand, it was very clear to us that
knew what he was talking about. Would highly recommend this provider and we are extremely happy with the finished product!!!

My order of preference - first choice a jacuzzi/hot tub repairman (from a jacuzzi/hot tub/sauna distributor), second choice a plumber (many do not work on hot tubs, jacuzzi's and sauna because they cnanot afford to stock parts). An electrician might be able to fix it if it is a connection problem, but such motors are seldom repaired if the problem is internal, just replaced - which would be a jacuzzi repairman/plumber type job.

You will have to find out what your model costs new - looks like they run from about $400 to 1700 depending on size. IF yours is at the lower end, might be just as cheap to replace it, with parts and labor. If not low end, then repair probably works. Typical pricing of components that might have gone out - switch $80, timer/control unit $130, heating element $100 (probably most likely to have failed) - so if only one of these went out, figuring $100-200 labor, probably cheaper to fix it. I would contact your dealer for a better idea.

BTW - here is a Saunatec instruction on maintenance on the heating element and rocks, failure to follow can shorten heating element life, if that is what went out (and probably the simplest to replace) -

I'm sorry to say there aren't many of us on here with adequate experience working on pools, myself included.  My suggestion would be to contact a few local companies specializing in pool renovation and have them give their recommendations and bids for the work, breaking down order of operations so you know what to expect at which stages.  Check Angie's List for referrals in your area and cross check those with the BBB for any unresolved complaints.

Pool Cleaning reviews in Macomb

Excellent service! Husband and wife team, very knowledgeable and efficient. Have just bought a home which included a koi pond. We had no idea how to care for or clean. They came out, drained and cleaned pond. Told us what we needed to do for the upcoming year for maintenance and how to care for fish. Will definitely be using for our yearly maintenance or if a problem arises during the year.

Communication is top notch during the proposal phase and during the remodel.
Crew showed up on time and were pleasant, clean and respectful of property.
Crew was experienced and cleaned up each day. They did not leave a big mess, swept our driveway etc.
At least 1 person on the crew could speak English
Supervisor would inspect the job site occasionally.
Crew finished the job on time.
The project has to go according to our specifications and we micro managed everything to assure the finished product is what we want, have to say the crew / company dealt with us pretty good in regards to that.. They go the distance to make the customer happy.
There were no surprise charges. What was agreed from the beginning in the contract stayed that way.
We are very happy with how beautiful our pool looks now. Huge improvement.
Tip: Do not pay the balance until the job is complete. It was almost complete and we were asked for the balance. I explained not until the job is complete and he agreed. It is not appropriate to ask for balance of payment until job is 100% completed.
Tip: Take charge of what stones/rock go where and how its cut. Your the boss you hired them. Or provide a good photo to the workers of how you want it to look,

certainly The team at Hunter's arr courteous, patient and committed to providing outstanding customer service. Their pricing for work is reasonable and fair. When an emergency, such as the leak, Hunter's responded within a few hours and stayed until the matter was completed. The grouting work was completed within short order of the original scheduled date. The office and onsite people were a pleasure to work with, dependable and honest.

We are new to pool ownership and operations and have contracted 3 pool maintenance companies in 5 months. We like

's pool service the best.
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, the owner, personally came by to provide an initial estimate and took great care to answer many of our questions on the spot. He was also able to demonstrate some easy pool maintenance techniques for us as well. The cost of services is also very affordable as compared to the other vendors and the level of service exceeded our expectations.
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite - that is why we plan to continue using
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
's pool service in the foreseeable future.

I have used this company on a few separate occasions. Had the same technician each time. He was very knowledgeable, competent, professional and efficient. The costs of repairs was not excessive (there is a service fee, but again, it is a reasonable amount). Each time I used them, the response time to schedule appt was extremely quick. Their response time is very quick; I never had to wait long for an appt. I would highly recommend this company.

When we first bought the house I had no idea how to take care of a pool, since I had never owned one. I called
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, and he came over and spent about an hour teaching me hands-on everything I needed to know about taking care of a pool. Furthermore, the previous owner did not have a pool cover at all, but simply used a tarp to cover the pool in winter.
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
talked us through the entire process, measured the amount of area we would need to cover, and then ordered it for us. He also gave us a ten percent military discount, which was very nice of him to do. When the cover arrived,
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
came with his crew and installed the cover while closing the pool. They noticed that the metal fittings in the concrete that were used to house the steps were all eroded away. He informed me of the situation, and said that in the spring they would install new fittings before opening the pool. In the end,
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
was extremely helpful and professional. He always answered my questions over the phone or in an email. He is honest about what you need to fix/repair and what you don't need to do. I plan on continuing to use
Macomb Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
to open and close every year.

The main person with the Lynch pools is very sincere and honest man, when he came initially for servicing the pool, he did an excellent job but now for the last 6 months other people from the company come to service the pool and do not provide uniform service quality
