"I have been using Dr for over 8 years now and she keeps my hand arthritis comfortable, especially in the winter. I have severe degenerative" hand arthritis and now going into neck nd shoulders. I love the amount of time she spends with each patient . Usually an hour and the fee is reasonable as she treats your symptoms as a whole body not just one symptom at a time. I highly recommend her to my friends and you will be happy with how professional and extreme knowledgeable. She is the best in town in my opinion. Closed Wednesdays, but worth making an appointment. I recommend rebooking your appointment when you leave so you get the day and time you want. She is popular!!!

"I came to know Dr. by recommendation of Active Release Therapy following a debilitating lower back "lockup". The painless treatment" protocol was accompanied by a very personal interest in my condition. Heartfelt would be the appropriate term. Most people I know, who have back issues, have chronic flare-ups. Dr. totally healed my condition! I've not had a tinge of discomfort for well over a year. The next challenge I presented was treatment following a 3 week hospitalization, which included 3 surgeries, 16 days in critical care to deal with a sudden, full length aorta dissection. I am not grandstanding when I claim that Dr. was one of the instrumental people in saving my life. And I am one of the 2% of people having this condition that has survived without any encumbrances. I also sought Dr. 's counsel for my hammertoes. Strange to ask a chiropractor? Well, they aren't gone, probably aren't any smaller but my feet feel better, my toes are not crammed together. I'd say it is the best relief possible without surgery. Now I am under her care for left shoulder discomfort. Lucky for me, Dr. has completed extensive acupuncture training and certification which has been very effective for my shoulder. Her touch is so gentle. I know because I am one who cringes at the thought of any needle being stuck in me! At the beginning, the discomfort was annoying enough to restrict my range of motion, cause me to sleep, it hurt to raise my arm. Today, 4 treatments later, I am 75% better, range of motion has improved, I'm sleeping and the discomfort is to where I am no longer needing over the counter pain relief medicine. All of that said, “The Center" is not only about treating discomfort in the body. They understand and address the emotional component of being uncomfortable. I totally trust the constitution and architecture of this practice. I how I have been helped. Dr. , his wife, his daughter have all shown interest in my condition, a fine example of the warmth of the overall feeling. I challenge anyone to be a stronger advocate and ambassador!

If the naturopath also has the MD credential then every plan will cover them. They choose to take insurance or not, all providers have to sign up with insurance plans for reimbursement. Unfortunately if they are a Doctor of Naturopathy, without other medical credentials you will have a difficult time finding coverage. An MD typically goes through 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of Medical school, 3 years of residency and then potentially 2 - 4 years of specialty training on top of that. Not many Naturopaths go through that type of education. MDs also have to work on cadavers, some other health care practitioners do this as well, but not many. Naturopaths offer valuable services. If you have a Naturopath MD in mind, then it is simple because they will have registered with insurance companies to accept payments. They will know what plans they accept payment from. As a pharmacist one of my classmates in addition to a doctorate in pharmacy also had a doctorate in that area. As a pharmacist we are also not covered by most insurance plans to have a "practice" reimbursement. We work on a fee-for-service basis or contract with specific plans or employers to offer their people our services. We work with individuals and provide their providers the information about our consults.

Some naturopaths, dieticians, pharmacists, chiropractors, and acupuncturists work within a physician practice - this is sometimes referred to as an integrated or integrative model. The fee for a naturopath is most often "fee for service."   I hope this helps, best of luck finding the practitioner you are seeking.

Acupuncture Treatment reviews in Lansing

In the past, I had problems with sleeping through the night. Dr. provided excellent care and was very thorough throughout her evaluations and her advice was accurate. My advice is to not hesitate be open and honest regarding your physical mind and body. Do make all of your appointments on time. You will see better results. don't ...More hesitate to ask questions if you don't understand the procedures.

I'll say one more time that no one was able to help relieve my symptoms until I saw Dr. for acupuncture. I had been to the ob/gyn, dermatologist, allergist, urogynocologist, gastroenterologist, naturopathic doctors, vulvadynia specialists, etc, etc. I did have to go often in the beginning, but now ...More I'm down to about once a week or every two weeks. It didn't go away overnight, but typically I felt relief after each session. In the beginning I went three times per week. As you heal, the longer time you'll be able to go with relief from your symptoms and less visits (hence, now I only go every other week) I would HIGHLY recommend giving acupuncture a serious try. I work in the medical profession and my coworkers and customers (doctors) say there is definite proof that acupuncture works, although we may not fully understand why. I hope this helps someone else who is experiencing a chronic "uncurable" illness.

It always goes well with . He is very easy to talk to and get along with. Always very professional. I'm always taken care of when I go to my appointments, I never have to wait when I get there I courtesy knock and get right to business. He does acupuncture, electronic treatments and also massage. ...More always goes above and beyond. Every time I see him it works out very well. Our relationship has even matured into a friendship. He's a great guy. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was recommended to (couldn't have asked for a better acupuncturist) who not only helped me with the issue I went in with, but helped out with other problems when I didn't even think they were significant. He pointed out that even if you think your primary issue only affects one area you are probably wrong. Not only ...More have we worked on fertility, but also my digestive system. He gave me recipes to help out with my issues and has given me instructions to help improve my bodies overall health and well being. I feel more energized, I have no more stomach rumbling throughout the day and just overall feel healthier. will always start off a session by asking how I'm feeling and if anything is bothering me in particular and if so we will concentrate on that. It is very hard to find someone who cares about your entire well being rather then only treating what you initially went in for. He understands that your body as a whole needs to be balanced. The staff is very personable and very accommodating to ones schedule. If you are considering acupuncture this should definitely be the place you go to.
- Lindsey F.

Because I was already in so much pain the first acupuncture treatment was a bit painful. I didn't feel the affects of the treatment until a day or two later. The change was dramatic! I went from not being able to sleep, walk and stand to being able to at least walk and stand. The second treatment removed all the pain. I was also able to get ...More some sleep during the night. The third treatment completely healed me. I would strongly recommend Dr. because she is the real deal.
- Katherine D.

I am still under treatment and I am making steady progress. I am satisfied with every aspect of his practice. I look forward to each and every treatment and I only wish that I had known of him earlier!
- Alan L.

I was on the strongest pain drugs you could be on for years. I went to them for acupuncture and I have been drug free for four years now. They are miracle workers - they are the best! It has changed my life. I cannot say enough great things about them. I go every week! They are so friendly and positive. Really positive environment to be in.
- Mary G.

My feet were loose and not tight in the morning after I had the acupuncture. I also came here a few years ago after I injured my back in the gym doing lunges. The needles are small and flexible and it really only feels like a pinch. I have seen truly amazing results in my own personal health which is why I recommend acupuncture to everyone I know. ...More does a great job!
