The team who worked on the property did a nice job and the first work completed seemed to go well. We were in a good groove. However things seemed to go south from there. After the initial work was done, we still had quite a bit of things which needed to be completed. It took days (and sometimes a week) to get any response back from the team. We tried email, phone and texting and no response. Finally my wife tried blocking her phone # and that time someone answered. Hmm. Maybe just a random coincidence. My wife (very directly) explained that we were unhappy and that someone needed to come out and walk through the property with us to go through each item and see what remained to be done.

And that is really the essence of the issue. Communication. At no time did any representative from the company (i.e. Rumaldo) call to ask how things were going, or come check on the work. Each time it was at our insistence that things were not completed properly. We made our final payment with the thought that things would be completed. That was my mistake. Never should have done that. I brought up the idea of partial refund, but that was ignored.
I have a string of emails in which we tried to communicate the challenges. For example, the sprinklers weren't installed/aimed properly, so areas of the grass died because they weren't getting enough water. I tried to adjust, but it was beyond the scope of my ability and they needed to be changed (which eventually they were). And still grass is dying and water is wasted. Also, about 8 plants have died. Yes, partial responsibility is on me, the owner, to water plants. But, we paid a lot of money for a new automated sprinkler system and that system was designed and installed to specifically deliver the right amount of water for each plant. So while I tried to water and fix things, this was a design/installation issue.

When we started this process, our gardener offered to do the work for a much lower price. We decided to hire a larger company to handle it with the thought that it would be better organized, better managed and better quality. Now, six months after our initial meeting we are paying our weekly gardener extra money to redo the sprinkler work and eventually replace plants. Hate to spend extra money, but don't have the time and energy to continually beg a company to stand by their work.
