The double entry lock set did not fit our door. We used a professional locksmith to do the installation. While the lock set required a 5 1/4 in. distance, our predrilled holes were 6 inches on center. The locksmith could not find a workable solution for the difference in measurement.. We took the set back to
for a return to the manufacturer. The salesperson informed us that there would be a restocking fee (she did not know the amount) and the return shipping fee. She also told us that she would call us to let us know what the restocking and shipping fee would be.
There was never a phone call. When we checked our credit card statement, we saw that we were charged 31% of the original purchase price for shipping and restocking. As stated, the salesperson did not know what the restocking fee would be. That being said, 31% is outrageous. We have never dealt with a supplier that charged that much. Neither have we ever dealt with a retailer that did not know a restocking fee. We feel we were "fleeced."
can be assured we will not be dealing with them or purchasing an Emtek lock set anytime in the future.

The estimate and final installation went well. However, during the initial installation the subcontractor tried to substitute a different fiberglass product from what was purchased. After I issued a stop work order on the project and several telephone calls to the regional office in Knoxville the correct fiberglass was installed.
told me it was a "mistake" on the part of their subcontractor and offered no discount or compensation for my trouble. The customer service aspect of the project was poor.

We ordered an
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
retractable insect screen door in August, 2013. After having received the wrong door, it was finally installed in late October. We did not use it until this spring, 2014. It broke and could lnot be used. When we informed
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
, they had their installer come out and he said it was
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
's fault.
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
said I had to call
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
and deal with them, because they wouldn't deal with them. I called
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
and they would not help. I sent a nice/proessional letter to the store manager of the Maxtown Road
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
with all the information and have not heard back. It has been over two weeks. We gave them our money for a product that does not work. We just want a product that works or get our money back. Thanks.

The deal was for a 16' door but I have an 18' door. When I made initial contact they were very friendly and said it would be no problem. When they came out, they worked with me to find a matching color and to make sure of measurements.
It took 2 trips because of a manufacturer delay in the side trim pieces as well as the need for a modified bottom gasket. The attention to detail was impressive.
They came out when promised and called if they were going to be early or delayed.
I was able to pay for the difference due to a larger door by calling in with my credit card after installation was complete.
A great experience overall and while I hope this door lasts for many years, I will call them again if I have any issues.

Very happy with results. Installer was responsive, helpful, did required scope of work and made excellent suggestions. The installation had to be stopped once it was found the old dishwasher was 'hardwired' into the wall. I had an electrician come in and bring it up to code and then the

installer returned promptly and finished the job.

follow up was timely and courteous. I will use them next on some interior doors I plan to replace

The purchase of a door turned into a 45 email, 40+ phone call, month-long fiasco. I can laugh about it now but trust me, I'll never order anything again from
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
, which is too bad. I would normally want to support a local, non chain supplier. With this one experience though, I'm done.
With measurements supplied by the contractor, the door they delivered was not the right size and couldn't be installed. Annoying, but not a problem... We all make mistakes, and the sales rep was at least responsive (although I had to keep after him for updates constantly). The next 3-4 weeks we went back and forth between the sales team and the "vendor" who apparently did not ever get around to fixing the frame to make it fit. They clearly do not prioritize regular customers and only take care of large volume jobs for contractors.
Bottom line: if you are planning on buying something for a project and aren't a contractor with volume orders, be prepared to be shuffled around and for your order to not be a priority.

Recieved card as promised. Went shopping at my local Lowes a few weeks and encountered no problems. We love Lowes.

The quote was supposed to include a military discount of ten percent, but it did not.
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
now says that they will not give me the discount at all, which was previously promised and honored if I purchased the fencing parts at the store and used my military identification card. Furthermore, I had shown
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
the quote I got from a competitor fence company, and
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
said they would beat that price of $1500, plus give me a military discount. As you can see,
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
did neither.

From the very first telephone contact to the initial measuring of the windows to the speedy and polite crew of installers, these people were outstanding. Prompt, courteous, efficient, thoughtful. They had some very difficult and heavy windows to handle and install and they had to do it from a pitched roof. They were meticulous in the handling of the windows and very cautious and careful to avoid damage to the glass or my house. The final product is so clean you cannot tell there is even glass in the opening. They were careful to clean up their mess and when they left you would not even know they had been here. I will use this company for all my glass needs in the future and will recommend them without hesitation or reservation. PLUS their price was several thousand dollars less than the other bid we got from another

glass company, and their staff was far more friendly and thorough and professional.

I met up with
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
- a kitchen designer at
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
. I told her I wanted to renovate my very small galley kitchen by replacing my 1970s kitchen cabinets and countertops with new cabinets and granite tops. She showed me various brands cabinets and doors in my preferred wood (cherry) and gave me rough estimates of the cost of each option. I paid $39 for a HD contractor to go in and do the precise measurements for the cabinets and counters - the contractor provide estimated labor cost to do the renovation. Due to his excessive cost estimates, I ended up hiring my own contractor. I went back to the store and finalized the design and type of cabinets and granite,
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
came up with a great design to utilize the limited space in my kitchen and to maximize storage. She recommended one of the cabinets be glass faced and recessed (which provided excellent space right above my sink) and looks great. Due to the bulkhead issue in my ceiling,
Hamilton Lumber Stores Provider Name Locked
came up with a solution for the sometime useless cabinets above the refrigerator. She came up with a measurement for those cabinets that fit within the bulkhead limitation but came out far enough that I can actually utilize the cabinets. For $6,000, I received a great design, solid hardwood cherry kitchen cabinets, gorgeous granite countertops (which were installed beautifully by an excellent granite vendor (CIA counters - I have a separate review for them), and a stainless steel sink. I'm very pleased with my kitchen.
