"I am very happy. Before spraying, I would get so itchy I hated walking outside with my dogs. Now with only one spraying, I can go out and stay out. The fungus" has all but disappeared, and the grass is already filling in, which is a surprise!! The service providers were quite nice and listened intently. They seemed to have quite a lot of knowledge and explained "my lawn situations" before moving forward. It is a small company, so this should be taken into account if someone wants next day service. I wanted results, so I didn't mind waiting a few days to have the spraying done. I believe that was more than fair.

-Linda R.

"I purchased this as a gift for my son to use at his house. The team arrived on time with the appropriate tools and did the job swiftly, professionally, and true" to the offer made on Angie's list. Additional cost was just as listed in the offer. I would use them again.

-Frank C.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

called back promptly and left a message that they would not be able to make it out to do the work for a month. He set a realistic expectation and called me back. Those are two big things that are lost on many businesses today. I appreciate his customer service and responsiveness.

Very well.

Nabutovsky is reliable, responsible and knowledgeable, and he is on time, and careful. If there is an issue, he finds the answer promptly.

Salesman showed up and assessed the damage and gave an estimate. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and professional. Once we decided on the treatment then the technician quickly sprayed our crape myrtles.
It looks like the treatment is working, but there is still some bark scale which will hopefully die out in the upcoming weeks.

We have been using
Fenton Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
for a couple of years now after a personal recommendation.
So far I am not disappointed with the quality and professionalism of their services. We have had a couple basic issues with fungus and bare spots in our grass, however I believe with a little more time everything will be under control.

Waiting for first treatment. Office was quick to get credit card info. Rating of "C" until services provided and performance rated accordingly.

This company is unbelievable. The professionalism, respect for property, promptness, consideration in reminder calls before treatments, and the RESULTS are remarkable. It is refreshing, in these days, to deal with an organization which lays out a plan, performs flawlessly, and delivers as promised.

changed a quite large lawn over-run by weeds into a beautiful grass carpet. Try them--you will say with them.
- Marcella H.

I can't rate for quality of service as the service wasn't performed. I would not normally write a review in this case, but am so completely shocked at the level of unprofessionalism I experienced via email earlier that I am writing a review as that is equally as important.
I had contacted this company in mid-August about aerating my lawn and received a response two weeks later; the season had not yet started. At my initial contact I told them that I lived in
Fenton Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
and told them I was having an issue with Virginia Buttonweed that was taking up about 1/3 of my front lawn. I received a quote from them and we agreed to move forward. I again told them about the buttonwood just before they came out. They were going to come here September 1.
They came here September 1, and seeing the buttonweed in the yard determined that we should wait a few more weeks until it was cooler and the weed died back a bit. That was fine. I followed up via email to get a date on which they were coming. They told me October 6. That's fine.
I emailed today to make sure they were still coming tomorrow as we've had over a week of rain. They told me I am postponed yet again, this time until Thursday. I asked about when first frost may be, as I am concerned it's getting late in the season; they responded that first frost is sometimes October 27.
I mentioned that I was frustrated because I was both being postponed again and being told it's nearly too late, and if I were going to seed myself it would have been before the week-long rain. They then told me that I was the one who postponed last time (I was absolutely NOT - it was
Fenton Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
's suggestion), and they said I was out of their service area (really? He couldn't have said that in the first place?). And, then he told me to find someone else.
Really, really terrible customer service, and if they didn't want to go to
Fenton Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
they should never have taken on the job. Now I'm faced with scrambling to find someone last minute, or rent an aerator myself, which is too heavy.
Very frustrating and I've not actually dealt with a small business so rude via email, ever. They don't need new business, obviously, but there's a way you treat people and a way you don't. I don't care now nice their lawns are - rude service is not acceptable.

- Barbara L.

I was a little anxious that they didn't arrive right away. But - wonderful thing - they were timing it so that the soil moisture was correct so that the aeration went well. So they came when the weather was perfect for the job. And my lawn looked great in the spring - and also had less weeks. Money well spent.
