"I contracted for a more expensive tile flooring in my Upstairs Hall and closet leading to three bedrooms. I decided on a good quality sheet flooring for the Master" Bedroom and Closet and 2 other bedrooms. I couldn't afford to put the expensive tile flooring in all the rooms, but I was able to find a more affordable vinyl for the other rooms which almost exactly mirror the expensive tile. My flooring is not perfectly level in some areas, but due to professional installation, you cannot see it or even notice. I had some picky requests as to exactly where I wanted my tile to end or fit They did it perfectly to my satisfaction. They left the rooms clean and ready for use. My family love's the new flooring. Couldn't be happier.

" My daughter left two voice mails in reference to refinishing her wood floors two weeks ago. As of today no return call. //

Wood floor alternatives

Consumers have many choices beyond traditional hardwood floors, including wood laminate and renewable sources such as bamboo, cork and even leather. Some alternatives look virtually the same as hardwoods.

From the wall street journal online:

"Etiquette and tipping experts agree that tipping a contractor and his employees isn't expected because contractors offer to do a job for you at a specific price. Any extra money they would want would be built into their bid. Also, it's a business relationship rather than one where they are performing a personal service for you like a waiter or a maid. But if the employees do extra jobs around the house, then experts say it is appropriate to tip a cash amount equivalent to the task; "tip gifts" such as cookies and drinks can count. "The key to tipping is whether or not it was outside the scope of what was normally expected," says Mark Brenner, author of "Tipping for Success!"

My opinion is that a little bit of courtesy (snacks, drinks, expression of appreciation etc.) goes a long way and upon completion of their work you feel compelled by a job well done to offer a little extra in the form of a tip - go for it, but do not feel obligated.
?
Agreed.  If you have existing cracking in porcelain you need to know the cause first.  I don't know of any reputable contractor that would dare install tile over existing tile.  Also, any manufacturer warranties for defects would be null due to improper installation.  Did the contractor offer this solution or did you ask for it?  The mear fact that he is agreeing to or offering it tells me you need to leave this guy for someone who knows what they are talking about before he does only half the job which will have to be redone in the near future, costing you more in the long run.

I get so many calls from customers that were talked into a "cheaper" way to do something only to find the work very sub-par.  The sad part is they are out the money they spent in the first place along with the additional amount I have to charge just to undo what the first contractor did before I can do it right.  This floor could end up costing you double what it should if it's not done right.

We have a problem slab - there is considerable hydrostatic pressure which disrupts most adhesives - tiles come loose. After explaining our situation to the salesperson he homed in immediately on the solution - a floating floor - no adhesive. We agreed and purchased vinyl wood plank flooring. The professionalism and workmanship of the installers was outstanding. The flooring is fitted perfectly to the room - much better than the two previous installations by another provider. The painter assigned to the project was also meticulously careful and did an outstanding job. As for the B rating on price - we think the price was high but worth it for the service received.

I previously selected
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
based on the reviews in Angie' s list for a home I declined to purchase in September 2014. I then contracted to buy a new construction residence as soon as it was completed. I arranged from the outset to have
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
remove all the new carpet (excluding the staircase) and install a great laminate throughout my residence.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
,
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, worked with me to select the laminate for style and wearability.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
measured the model home for measurements. As soon as I closed on my new home,
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and his installers began the work on my home. The estimate was for three work days and the work took exactly the time estimated. The laminate is perfect and the quality of the material and installation is equally perfect. I originally planned to have
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
remove the remaining carpet after all my possessions were delivered and replace same with an upgraded carpet. The new flooring is so appealing that I am likely to have the staircase done in the laminate. I wish that all construction experiences could be even half as seamless and perfect.

Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
promptly gave us an estimate that was in range ( lower range) of other quotes but had stronger reviews on Angies list.
He was prompt, came the day we set, completed the work in time he said and his team did a great job with a number of challenges including molding and stair nose. LVP is a relatively a new product and we wanted to float it over our hard wood floors. We have multiple dogs and the hard wood get marked up quickly.. We wanted a product that can take the beating and not deal with tearing out or damaging the quality wood below so if we should ever move we can go back to the hard wood.
. Over the years, I've hired many a contractor and regardless of price there is always a degree of dissatisfaction ( quality, timing, completion etc) or substantial variance from fee quote. NOt so with
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. He kept his work and his team were great. Cleaned up and moved furniture as well. . Strongly recommend him and would use him again in a moment. . if your in Bay area, go with
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked

Terrible! On 8/1
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
informed me that due to a family commitment the job would have to get done in one day. He also introduced me to two of his brothers, who was going to manage the job and spoke english, and the other who did not, he left for another job and told me he would be back shortly At this point I do not remember all their names.
I asked about the manager about the base boards, moldings and encaps, which I had contracted for them to supply and install, he was not aware so he called
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and a some time later someone else showed up with some base boards. I looked at the materials and knew it was not enough LF, we had some words and then they sent someone out to purchased all new base boards to install.
A few hours into installation, the manager informed me he had to leave and gave me his cell number if anything came up, to call him because his brother did not speak english. When I encountered a problem I called him and was told not to worry, he would be back shortly and it could easily be fixed. After a few hours, I called again, and when he showed up and refused to fix the problem. I then called
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and told him we had a problem and he needed to come to my house.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showed up later and told them to tear up the floor and start over, and they did.
When the got to the kitchen I was told there was not enough flooring (this proved to be untrue) and was told to go and buy vinyl flooring.which I did and that was a big MISTAKE.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
gave me the square footage and I spent $125.00 on vinyl flooring for the kitchen, which had not been prepped by the crew. I made a point of this to
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, and he assured it would not be an issue. They worked until around 8:00 PM, I had to change evening plans because as I mentioned it was suppose to be a two day job. I ended up with one and half boxes for extra vinvyl flooring, which I later returned.
I discovered after they left that the base boards were cut short and some of the wood flooring was separating at the seems, I Emailed
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
at DFS and told him about the bad experience I had with
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and that I wanted this fixed.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
did not reply. Then I noticed that the vinly flooring was coming up in the kitchen and that it was cut too short in sections so it did not meet at the seems. I also found that I could not open my dishwasher because it was put in at a slant so the door stuck. I called
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
/
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
several times and he agreed to come out, but did not show up. I scheduled with him three times and he did not show up, finally on the 4th time, and after I threatened to go the CA contractor's board AND I contacted
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
again, he showed up and told me a story about he thought I was a different client, so he kept going to her house and apologized profusely. I
I showed
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
the issue and he said he did not have the tools to do the base boards, so he would be back on the following Friday after work, around 4:30 to fix it . He did not show up, after many texts and messages he agreed to come out and fix all the issues. He showed up on 10-24-14 (my birthday) and quickly fixed the base boards, and the wood flooring and even showed me how to pop the boards back together if it happens again. Then he started on the vinyl flooring in the kitchen, first fixing the dishwasher after insisting the floor had nothing to do with it. I showed him where the tiles were cut too short and coming up. He asked me if I had any more tiles, and I said no I returned them. Then he explained that his job was just to put down the flooring so it's not his fault it won't stick, so I said, who's fault is it? He said there is a problem with the tile. I said, well then I can go back to Home Depot, just tell me what's wrong with the tile. He said no, I can't talk to you and left. He came back and short while later and told me that he and his wife were in counseling, becuase Mexican Men can't admit when they're wrong. I listened politely then asked if he was going to fix the floor and he said yes. I had wrongly assumed that while he was gone he went and bought more tile.
I was not near the kitchen, I had visitors for my birthday and had to stay away because of fumes. Ends up he glued down some of the vinyl titles and used a color putting to fill the short spots, he told me he was going to leave me an extra tube just in case, and did not.
The floor is still coming up in the corners because it was not prepped for vinyl. I have a garage full of wood laminate to be installed in my kitchen. I would NEVER hire this man to do any work again.

An existing pole building was constructed without a permit by a previous owner. The county required that the building be evaluated by an engineer and upgraded structurally as necessary.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was selected to do the work based on some flooring work that he did on the home that we were building.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was very responsive and despite being fairly busy gave me a fixed price to do the job and managed to arrange to get the work done in a timely manner. During the course of the work, some of the reinforcing was missed (and in fairness drawings notes were somewhat difficult to follow) and
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
came back at no charge and finished the work. I would definitely hire him again if I need some more work done.

WE have used

, and
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to re do 3 rooms in our house over the past year. 2 rooms we had tiled, the master bedroom we had re carpeted. Everything went perfectly.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
's company has excellent customer service, the quality is perfect and the crew's all always very professional and do a great job. This time we had heavy furniture removed and replaced, and they put in a new pad and high grade carpeting. As usual an excellent job.
I would definitely recommend
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and will use them again in the future.

Decided to
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
down vinyl flooring planks throughout the house. The people at
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
helped us come to the decision based on the fact that we have a lot of animals and we wanted something that did not scratch and was easy to clean up after accidents. The installation was done well. There was some shifting after the installation and we called back to the store. They came out to look at it and then to fix it with no problems.

When I stopped by the business to explore flooring options,
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was super nice, showed me the different options, gave me pros and cons of each. When I decided to move forward, he showed up the next day to measure my room, and his estimate was the same as the one he'd given me in the store. The materials arrived in under two weeks and they installed the floor a few days later. Several guys showed up exactly on time and very efficiently pulled up my old disgusting carpet. They were friendly and got right to work. The installation of the floating cork floor took a few hours - they were very efficient and paid a lot of attention to detail - I watched them for a while and was impressed with how careful they were to
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
each plank exactly right. They had to make a bunch of cuts around various doorways, corners and the radiators and it was very precise. They cleaned up nicely when they were done.
Fenton Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
called that evening to make sure everything was ok. It looks wonderful. I'm so glad I used a local, family owned business instead of the hacks at Home Depot. When I need flooring in other rooms, I'll absolutely call them again.
