"Brought to
's two rolex watches: wanted to replace the crystal on one with an authentic Rolex crystal and wanted to replace the inauthentic" face on the other with its original face. Both are under 15 minutes procedures for someone who knows what they are doing. After a few hruumphs, the salesperson brought the manager over whom, hruumph, informed me they could not perform these services unless I was going to have each watch overhauled - which neither needed. Had the work performed cross town today for $50 a watch while I waited. I will NEVER set foot in
's again. You can draw your own conclusions about their business practices.

"We were under the impression that it would all happen at once. However, it took two years. My biggest issue was that I never got an itemized list of what they" took so I could never cross-reference it with what they sold. I asked for this list on multiple occasions but was always given the run-around and never received it. The shipped it all over, not to just one auction house. They were sloppy and I will not use them again or would I ever recommend them.

Jewelry Appraising reviews in Farmington Hills

We needed serious help in clearing out over a half centuries worth of belongings. We found
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
on Facebook and met with her to discuss her services. She was very personable and had a good action plan so the contracts were signed.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
and her team worked very hard to go through the entire home and workshop. All items were sorted, evaluated, cleaned and priced. She even managed to get the sale on a week earlier than promised which when you consider the volume of items was amazing!
I didn't enter a cost of service because her fee is a percentage of the proceeds and that percentage changes with the total sales, going somewhat lower as thresholds are met. I will say that for the work she and her team provided I felt that the cost was extremely reasonable.
If you find yourself in need of someone to help you through a similar situation I can strongly recommend
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
and her team.

I met Mr.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
at the insurance company that was sponsoring appraisals.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
introduced himself, and gave his background and experience. He was very professional and very personable. He was able to determine the material of my silverware because he owned a special machine that measures the metal content- I believe he is the only appraiser in the Northeast who has one. While there, I asked if he had the time to appraise two pieces of jewelry, and he did. I also asked if he did appraisals on china, but he said that was not his area of expertise. I appreciated his honesty. The appraisal is the most detailed appraisal I have ever received. He included extremely detailed descriptions and pictures of the items. I would absolutely recommend
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
, and I gave his name to my insurance company in case anyone calls them for jewelry/ silver appraisal.

I took two watches in for repair a Citizen for a broken internal piece and a
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
for a new battery. I was trying to explain what another watchsmith said would need to be done to the Citizen and I was interrupted several times and was told the other watchsmith did not know what he was talking about. The repair person at
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
did not even want to hear what the issue was with the watch nor would he let me show him the broken piece. He just turned his back to me and told me to send it to the manufacture. The watch actually has a broken piece on the inside that needs to be repaired. The watchsmith who showed me the issue could not repair it as his shop was closing due to personal health issues and he was not taking any new repairs.
He would not let me complete a sentence. He kept walking away from me, talking down to me, telling me to send the watch to the manufacture. This is all after they told me over the phone they could work on it.
I think the walking away and telling me the other watchsmith was stupid is what was bothering the most. Now if he would have opened the watch and looked at it ....or at the very least if he would have let me tell him what was wrong with the watch than; if he called the watchsmith stupid, I would not have minded as much. But he still does not even know what is wrong with the watch. The conversation went like this.
Me: Hi I had this watch looked at by...
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
: cutting me off. That guy does not know what he is talking about.
Me: Ok,well, he showed me this broken
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
: again cutting me off and walking away saying, well there is a right way and wrong way.
Me: I just stood there dumbfounded. I did not know what was happening.
I could go on but it just got stranger.
The second watch needed a battery. I would have walked out by this time but another employee had already taken my
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
and opened it. Once I discovered that they opened my watch I just felt a dark cloud roll in.
When they changed the battery they did not put the second watch back together correctly the first time. So there is possibly of a damaged gasket. Also they did not even know how to set the time on the watch. I found that very confusing. The watch is a
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
and while they had it they kept saying Seiko. I am not sure if they thought the watch was a Seiko or what they were doing. But I now need to go to
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
jewelry in Indy to see if the
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
suffered any damage from the mishandling. The gasket is possibly damaged.
My daughter was with me and she commented several times when we left how proud she was that I did not
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
my temper with the way they treated me.
I will never go back.

I took my late father-in-law’s coin collection to Executive coin for an appraisal. Bill Miholer took the time to give me a fair and comprehensive appraisal of the collection. Unlike other dealers I went to, he went over each coin/set individually to arrive at an accurate price. Very satisfied with the price and how I was treated.
- Martin R.

I unfortunately experienced exactly the same thing as the other bad reviews on this company.

My concern in particular, is that a large portion of their customer base if estate related. He is verbally abusive and I would hate for someone who just lost a family member to be spoken to look he did me.

I took a few pieces to him and he was about the rudest person I have experienced in my life. I showed him the pieces and he immediately stated that they were worthless and there was nothing I had brought in that he would be interested in. I told him I didnt even know if I would sell anything to him yet! When i iniitally called him he told me that he had been in the business for many years and that I could make an appointment to come in and he would be happy to educate me on the business. So I decided to go in, around 530pm. (They close at 6pm apparently) He seemed to be rushing me and just kept telling me that the things I had were worthless. I had other items, I didnt bring in that I wanted to show him. And he said if they looked like the items I had shown him, then to not bother.

Maybe he is only friendly to you if you bring in items that he is interested in.
- Wendy W.

The provider took all the materials for sale and either auctioned them or took them to local providers to sell. She then brought me back about 12,000 after all was said and done. This is after her 30% . She does have a minimum but I don't remember what the minimum payout was at this time. She is very knowledgeable and professional.
- Harvey M.

Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
has all of the state of the art appraisal equipment. He analyzes the pieces while you watch, the jewelry is never out of your site, compared to some companies that want to send your piece out to an appraiser. If the piece is an older piece he will even tell you the history of the type of jewelry- so you learn about it as well. He photographs it with a high end camera and photographs it next to a ruler so the photo and the size of the item are side by side. He provides a very detailed description. Because I have seen a number of appraisals from all types of places, I can attest to the fact that the quality and thoroughness of
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
's appraisals far exceed what you are provided even from an established jewelry store. He takes pride in his work and it shows. He may not finish the full appraisal while you are there because of the price of some precious metals fluctuate he utilizes his industry resources to compile the most accurate pricing. He will email you the finished full color appraisal in a non-editable format . Being cognizant of theft he does not include the owners address on the document, only their name. He has a special program to have your jewelry reappraised in the future as values increase/decrease. He loves what he does and it shows in his interest. He is professional, smart and knowledgeable about his field. There may be times that a client is disappointed in the value of their item and challenge him but he can back up his appraisal with a reasonable and clear explanation. I think all of us know that buying jewelry in a jewelry store or a foreign country leaves room for markup.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
is accountable to the client, not the jewelry seller so I am confident that he provides the accurate assessment , even if sometimes that may be a disappointment to the client . He handles those kinds of disappointments with class and grace . I believe there have been times that he has discovered that a trusted jeweler has been less than forthright . HIs appraisals will arm the client with credible ammunition if they were treated improperly by their seller.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
is very client centered in his approach and if a client has 10 or more pieces , he will appraise in the privacy and convenience of their home. If a client has one or two pieces or less than 10 you can ask his schedule as he regularly visits insurance agents offices- at their invitation- and he can appraise at an agency in your local area. He travels as far as Virginia I have held a number of jewelry appraisal fundraisers, and even adding an additional premium to the appraisal, his rates are far below the rates of local jewelers. One day I called about 5 different jewelers and found they had prices ranging from the lowest of $80 to the highest which was a percentage of the value of the item! Many of them needed to send it out to an appraiser.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
is always willing to speak to groups about jewelry and he is very entertaining. I absolutely recommend him even as a second opinion on a piece of new jewelry, certainly to appraise older jewelry and I have also used him to appraise clocks. I have clients that have used him to appraise jewelry and silver. Here is a review I have written about him in the past, and I still stand by every word.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
is truly independent and when he gives you an appraisal, you can be confident that it is an accurate reflection of the value.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
is a Graduate Gemologist and I urge you to talk to him about your fine jewelry, silver, and clocks.
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
has integrity, expertise and by the way, his rates are very very fair. He is also very accommodating and will even go to a clients home to appraise items .
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
provides an excellent value for his service. You can go further, and pay more, but not get anything better than what

Thanks for the opportunity to write about a great American business. The Deals did an exceptional job and I rate them A+ or 10/10 in all areas of pricing, efficiency, effectiveness and integrity. Being overseas, I called over 20 estate sale companies and after talking with
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
Farmington Hills Antique Appraisals Provider Name Locked
there was no question in my mind they were the folks for the job. They were professional, courteous, creative and during a very delicate time, showed my family great compassion. I had the opportunity to meet the Deals during a trip to Texas and after a few minutes talking with them, I can feel their energy and passion for their work. When I saw all the property that needed to be cleaned, sorted and priced, I was overwhelmed, not to mention being on a tight schedule to sell the house. The Deals never missed a beat and projected calmness and confidence throughout the process. Their crew came in and everything was prepared and ready for sale in record time, it was magic. Their prices are reasonable and they deliver premium service before, during and after the sale. Their integrity is exemplary as a company and as two wonderful people, and they love animals. Although I'm overseas, I have several friends in Texas and when they ask, I recommend
