was very professional and interesting to talk to. Since the area we needed taken care of was on our Alumawood patio cover, he was not able" to do all that was advertised. He was able to fence off the area & the pigeons have been back several times during the day and seem quite perplexed as to why their little area is not accessible as before.

"We had used
in the past and had no complaints, so we thought this time would be no different. We had a colony of box
" beetles in one of our deck boxes. The inspector came on 3/21 as promised and on time - he diagnosed the problem and took my payment information for a full year's service of monthly prevention and treatment ($717, including a discount for paying up front). He set up a time for a technician to come on 3/25. The technician didn't come, so one hour after the 2 hour window had passed, I called the the only number I had been given (an 800 number). The rep said, no, there was no service scheduled, so he connected me to the branch manager. She said it was a filing mistake and someone would come out the very next day, 3/26. A technician came as promised and did the work I asked. He wrote on my invoice that a follow up service would be performed in one week, on 4/2. No one came on 4/2, and when I called, a different customer service rep said that my follow up had already been done on 3/26. I said, no, that was when the initial service was done. There was still bug activity, so I needed someone to come out and follow up. He apologized and said he could get a technician to come two days later, 4/4, from 12-2, but it would be tight. I said, ok, but I am also pressed for time that day, and if he comes after two, I won't be able to be there. He told me if he doesn't come by 12:45, call again to get an estimated time of arrival. So, on 4/4, at 12:45, no one had come, so I called. This time the customer service rep (again, someone completely different) told me I had a balance of $205. I said, I shouldn't, as I agreed to pay up front for a year's service, and quoted the invoice I had gotten from the inspector on 3/21. I noticed then that my last name on the invoice from 3/26 was badly misspelled and asked if that would have anything to do with it. She said, no, is the credit card ending in **** your card? I confirmed it, and she said she'd "take care of it." She was unable to get ahold of the technician, so she said she'd send him a reminder text and have him call me. He called at 1:30 and said he was running late, that I had been scheduled for 11-1 (incorrect), but I told him I had been told 12-2. I also told him if he came after 2, I wouldn't be there. He said he definitely couldn't make it by 2, but maybe he could just work on the outside and leave an invoice on the door? I said that would be fine. I got a message on my phone at 5:30 (while I was out) from the same technician who said he was sorry, but he wasn't able to get there and he'd be happy to come the next day. By this time I was pretty upset and didn't want to talk to anyone for a while - it was clear the communication between departments was terrible and I was getting nowhere. I had already wasted 6 total hours of my time waiting for service that never came, and the bugs were coming back. To add insult to injury, I received a bill on 4/8 saying I STILL owed $205, for the initial service (which was the only service actually performed), follow up, and next month's service. Then my card was charged on 4/10 for $785 - when the initial agreement was for $717! I was too mad to be coherent, so I had my husband call on 4/11 to cancel our service and refund our money. They agreed to give us a full refund, and that was about the only good thing that happened! But they still kept the $205 for the service! By this time, there was absolutely nothing they could have done to make it right - there was no way I was going to wait around for someone to not come again. The service was rendered ineffective by the inability of someone to get out to follow up. And the thing is, I know it wasn't any individual person's fault - it's the company's fault for setting up such a bad system. I never got the same person twice, whether it was customer service or the technician. I will NEVER use
again! (Note - I waited to post this because I was so angry and didn't want to think about it for a long time!)

Angie's Answers

You have a lot of questions. I will try to cover them all.

First, mice can fit through a hole the size of a dime.
Second, unlike rats, mice are very small; it would take a major infestation to generate a persistent odor as indicated.

Elimination starts by sealing the exterior foundation of the home, door sweeps, broken windows, cracks in the foundation, holes around electrical service, water faucets and dryer vents.

Secondly, food sources must be eliminated. Mice only need 1 gram of food a day and they extract water directly from the food they digest.

Next, mice infestations are more localized than people think, bait under the house might not have any effect. Heat sources like refrigerators and hot water heaters are suspect as a base of operation.

Snap traps are highly effective when used where dropping are found. Use a variety of bait, peanut butter (avoid this if children are present), brownie, fruit and even dental floss tied to the pedal (nesting material).

As for the odor, look for an enzyme based cleaner / deodorizer.

If the problem continues seek the help of a Pest Control Professional with rodent experience.

Hope that helps,

Andrew Deluca

The quickest way I've found to get rid of them (as opposed to preventing them - see answer above) is to put a half cup of cider vinegar (must be cider vinegar) in a jar or bowl and put a half-dozen drops of dishwashing liquid on top of it.  Leave out on a counter wherever the problem exists. Empty and refill as needed.
Legally, it needs to be pest control - wildly boring technical explanation regarding Federal pesticide laws that I won't bother you with.  Having said that, depending on where they are located in your chimnet, you could do it yourselt.  Most wasp control products will shoot 12'-20'.  So, if they are in a lower section of your chimney you wait until dark (they return to their nests before dark) and reach up above your damper and spray the nests.  If you're not averse to being on your roof, do the same thing from the top.  Otherwise, hire a professional.
An exterminator - you have to careful that the pests are driven out of the attic BEFORE the entrance they were using is closed up, otherwise you have dead decaying animals in your attic - can cause a stench that lasts for weeks.

Pest Control reviews in Eaton Rapids

They were very professional and courteous. They confirmed what the other company we used told us that we had termites. I didn't use them because I have a pest control company that I use and I wanted a second opinion. Price wise they were in the range of the company I have. I would recommend them if you need pest control services.

Technician very professional, prompt, called the evening b4 to confirm today's appointment. Uses a very smart system in the home to know he had applied the pest control along all base boards. Wore shoe covers inside our home. Will request this technician again!
- Patty F.

We had a bad carpenter bee problem in the backyard. Our screened in porch had a lot of wood damage from the holes the bees created. No matter what we did, they kept coming back year after year and getting worse. After the company treated it, we had no bee problem all summer. We are so grateful. We can use our backyard again without getting swarmed by carpenter bees.

Most of my ratings were "A" because the pest technicians were all very well dressed and professional.... THEY EVEN SPOKE PERFECT ENGLSH!!! Imagine that in this day and age.....I only wanted outside service since I suffer from OCD and didn't want pesticides indoors. The only problems I had consisitently were ants. They are hard to get rid of even though they sprayed and used granules. However, each time they treated the ants it rained right after, so I can't say they were not doing their job properly, it was just bad timing, I also could have asked them to come out again free of charge and reapply, but I never felt it was really necessary. If you want pest control service, you can't do any better, so I would recommend them to a friend.

We noticed carpenter bees building a nest on a first floor window. Upon further inspection, the nest spanned the length of the soffit (inside) above of the window, to the window itself.
We called a few big name exterminators and got outrageous prices. They also tried to upsell their product and have us sign a contract for a year of service....More /> We then called

. They were understanding of our hectic work schedule and worked with us to find a decent time to come out. They gave us a flat rate and did not try to talk us into a yearly plan (although they do offer them I believe)
They were able to come out within 24 hours and sprayed the inside of the soffit and removed what all they could from the window nest. The exterminator was very knowledgeable and answered all questions.
We would highly recommend them and will use them again.

Guys arrived and very friendly. Explained treatment to the "T". Explained warranty very well and was very nice when it came to the warranty. Explained how long it would take and we could call or stop back by to check progress. We would highly recommend these guys to anyone with pest problems. Thank you for your expertise service.

was on time and explained the process. He was friendly and efficient. He even took time to play with my dog. I was highly satisfied. We have never had a bad experience in the 4 years we have been with Superior.

Irish came out to spray weed control on my front and back yard and finish with a pre-emergent. I have spent countless hours pulling those pesky weeds over the last few months and it's killing my back. Two days later the weeds look dead and I can enjoy my yard without spending so many hours working in it. Irish was professional and personable, and I purchased a year long weed control package from him.
