"
did a GREAT job in rebuilding our walkway for several key reasons. First, they started when they said they would and ended when they said" they would (entire job took about a week and a half). They cleaned up after themselves daily, and replaced torn sod to our lawn caused by their small digger (a necessary part of removing the old walkway). They gave us the lowest bid by far to replace our walkway (the closest bid to theirs was still $1700 higher than
's bid, and two bids were over $2K more than
's bid!); and, they didn't start the work and then tell us later that they incurred additional costs, like some contractors out there do. Most importantly, the finished product looks really great. Our neighbors continue to mention to us how great our walkway now looks. We'd definitely use them again and recommend their work!

"Ed's service was just amazing. I had planned to have some shrubs removed before the work began, but had not done so when Ed called to say he would be starting" the next day. He had his workers remove three large shrubs, cut them into manageable stacks and remove the roots. They then trenched out for cobblestone borders along the driveway, removed asphalt from the lower portion of the drive and set new pavers in place. Their work was meticulous and they took great care to clean up at the end. The following day they removed the broken concrete from the entryway, poured new concrete and finished up the driveway. I cannot say enough about how professional and courteous everyone was. I am delighted with the outcome and will definitely use Ed's company in the future and recommend him to others. Thanks, Angie's List...I was delighted with my experience.

Masonry exteriors

Generally considered the highest quality choice for home exteriors, brick and stone are also almost maintenance free and will last as long as the house, though some repairs may be needed from time to time.

Detergent soaking and low-pressure pressure washing (to avoid etching or swirling the surface) about $0.50-1.00/SF - ditto for the sealing. Minimum charge probably about $150. This is something you can easily do yourself if you are just a bit yard handy - rent a pressure washer (or use this job as excuse to buy one) - 1000-1500 psi one is all you want for this, a gallon of concrete/driveway washing detergent, a large paint brush for the sealer, and as much brick/stone/concrete sealer as you need for your area - could probably do yourself for about $0.50/SF. View a few online videos on how to pressure wash without leaving swirl or etch marks in brick/concrete.

I was able to send
Comstock Park Masons Provider Name Locked
photos and he made a basic estimate from there. Then he came over and reviewed it with me and confirmed the estimate.
He called the day before he was sending someone (we had agreed to this) and the gentleman arrived in Friday afternoon. We chipped out the old mortar and explained what would be done for some separating brick. I was going to be out of town when the work was done.
When I returned, the work was complete and the work area was properly cleaned up. The work looks very good and I am quite pleased with the workmanship.
I would happily use
Comstock Park Masons Provider Name Locked
again and I am happy to recommend him as well.

Called for estimate on a repair on front of our home. Asked me to text pictures and would get back to me with an estimate within half hour. Never called or texted back. Guess they didn't want or need the job.

They were very prompted in coming out and giving me the estimate and when I agreed to having the work done they came the very next day (a Friday). They came back the following Monday to verify nothing cracked and to complete any cleanup they thought necessary. They left the work area just as they found it requiring no cleanup on my part.
They were very pleasant to work with as well.

They did an excellent job. We changed our steps from bluestone to just concrete/masonry. The men were clearly professionals who took great pride in their work. They worked in a very organized, methodical, and neat way. The cleanup/removal of debris was great. These men did great initial demolition and then preparation of the steps using special adhesives and wire mesh supports. They were very hardworking and conscientious.

We contracted with
Comstock Park Masons Provider Name Locked
Magal/Magalhaes in March, 2015 for a very substantial project.
We recently found that although he told us his last name is Magal he used the name Magalhaes on documents filed with the State of Texas. We also recently found that the company name he uses,
Comstock Park Masons Provider Name Locked
, is a forfeited
Comstock Park Masons Provider Name Locked
since 01/2007 due to tax non-payment according to the State of Texas records. We also recently found that the 'office' address he used is a

service drop box. Had we known these things at the time we never would have contracted with Mr. Magal/Magalhaes.
He wanted a 40% down payment in order to buy all of the pavers required for our project. Sadly, we paid it. He/his people did about 2 to 2-1/2 weeks work maximum on our project and then started making excuses for not coming back out. We begged, pleaded and cajoled to get him back out but nothing worked. He has avoided us repeatedly and his communication has been abysmal. At this writing (07/27/2015) it has been about 2 months since he has been back out to do any work. We are now well over twice the 60 day contractually agreed time frame for completion. He has made promise after promise to resume work but his many promises have meant nothing. Now, he has a lot of our money and has done very little work. As well, we recently learned that he did not buy our pavers as he promised at the beginning of the project and as he told us several times that he had.
Unfortunately, legal action is our only option at this point. I am sure that he will make many more excuses for this review and will try to turn things around and say what bad people we are. And, if you meet him, I am sure you will find that he is very personable, seems genuine, and is a good salesman. But all we can tell you is ... Let the Buyer Beware!

The wall was 4' to 5' from the house and it tapered from 6' tall to 3' tall. This wall had to be replaced due to poor workmanship by a different stone mason. He came recommended by one of the top engineering firms in Cincinnati. Great work and personable. He also built a curved 2' high wall.

removed the existing wood deck, set the base for a new paver patio the second day. It is a large patio which required numerous loads of fill which included crushed stone. Once the fill was complete they began installing the pavers. On completion of the pavers a vinyl railing was installed with 2 gates.
I initially was going to replace the wood deck with a composite deck but after speaking with
