informed that I wasn't going to be trained since they didn't set up the training and it was lunch time (actually is was an hour and 15 minutes prior to their posted lunch hours). This training had been set up a week in advance and I was never notified of any change or cancellation. I had made all the arrangements needed to be there since it is out of town. After their lunch I went back into the office I was told that the rep was there this morning but since I was a 'no show' the appointment was cancelled and the rep is now gone.
This topped a continuing issue with an office staff that has in the past had a high staff turnover (with exception of the Office Manager who had been the receptionist and billing) lost paperwork, forgotten paperwork (requiring multiple request) doubled billed for office visits, excessive wait times, and now cancellation of a needed class. I was flustered; worried about being called a no show for an appointment I showed up for, and upset about being misinformed to about the pump rep. I wanted to speak with someone about why I wasn't to be trained, was it just because they didn't set it up or were they upset that I was choosing a different vendor than the one they promote. When I broached the subject with the office staff she walked down the hall announcing "SHE"S HERE" which did nothing for my mood, I informed them that yes I was here and that the office manager was inept in her ability to properly manage the office.
My husband contacted the diabetic supply representative who told me she was indeed in the office and not informed of my presence in the waiting room. She was told that she could train me in a public location (possible HIPAA issue not to mention loss of dignity and privacy) but not in his office. My husband tried to contact Dr.
I received a call from the Nurse Practitioner the next day and we had agreed that the office manager and I would move forward and be civil towards one another and I assumed the matter was closed. The following week I received a certified letter from Dr.
I find it appalling that a professional would assume that his staff is guiltless and that a patient who was stressed, on a new medical device, and mistreated, is being hostile by calling his staff inept. When did standing up for yourself and refusing to be bullied in your own healthcare constitute being difficult. As a retired advanced practice nurse, I can only shutter to think what happens to the uninitiated and uninformed patients. This is the reason for my posting.
He ordered the tests and proved that I was suffering from hypopituitarism.
He has been extremely good at figuring which meds I need and how to adjust the dosages of medications that I need based on my symptoms and blood levels. I feel like he really listens to me and takes the time to provide me with exceptional treatment.
Since I live in the LA Metro area, I'm able to make and have appointments with him via email which is extremely convenient.
My quality of life has improved vastly since I started seeing and getting treatment from Dr.
I will be forever grateful to Dr.
I highly recommend Dr.
I've ending up with addition issues because all the pills were very h****** the kidneys. Again, these people have NO Endocrine Medical training, they are dispensing high end OTC natural supplements. Very Sad...
