Stereo and home theater systems

The ideal stereo or home theater setup will depend on your needs and budget. On your own, or with help from a professional installer, you can put the pieces together to channel multiple entertainment options.

Angie's Answers

It appears something is wrong with your model number - I find a BDP-BX110 and a BDP-S1100, but no bd-110.

If one of those is right, try googling this type of phrase, with the correct model number - Sony bd-110 audio output ports

and you will find both the owners manual and operators instruction manual online. They say these units are primarily made for computer, not home theater connection, as they come with USB and HDMI ports for primary output, to connect to a computer or laptop device.

It appears there is a coax connection on the back that says DIGITAL OUT, that would be your audio connection to the home theater, but your home theater needs to be digital ready in one of the formats this player passes the data in. If computer formatted home theater system, then use the USB or HDMI connection (HDMI passes better quality).

if your home theater is set up for analog (red and black paired RCA jacks), then you are going to need a digital to analog converter, which is way beyond this forum because there are too many data formats and device connector types and sizes. Google for a convertor for your model device, or maybe Sony has one at their online store.

Home Theater And Stereo Installation reviews in Cadillac

The TV is hung with a mount that will not allow me to hook anything else up to the TV without taking the TV off of the mount this will require two men. This was not explained to me before mounting! So, therefore I was not totally satisfied.
I ask the installer if they had another mount, he said yes, so I ask him to have Ferlando call me and to come back and lets talk about another mount.
Also, the installers did not hide all the wires which their advertisement says yes, that they do hide all the wires. That afternoon I called and left a message with the owner of the company and he did not return my call. The next day,

One more thing, the installers did not clean up their mess. Sawdust around my front door where they cut boards as well as leaving sawdust on my fireplace.

He actually replaced another Wall Mount installed by another installer, that had not provided the wall mount or service I wanted and has since "Gone Out of Business"

was on time, very professional, and did exactly what I wanted. Install went quickly and efficiently.

also setup the "Comcast" to handle sound, channels, etc. So that essentially went from 4 remotes to ONE remote. My wife was extremely happy.
Bottom line I was very happy with the service

provided, and would highly recommend this company.
I will be using them again to do another TV Install in the next couple of weeks.

Exceptional service. Worked with us as we were still in the process of moving in. All work performed in less than two hours. Took very good care of our belongings. I would definitely use them again.

I wish these guys did more than hang

's because they were FANTASTIC. Not only was their work above reproach, they were neat, clean, personable and polite. I can't find one negative about these guys. As far as I'm concerned, they hung THE MOON. I promise you won't be disappointed.

at the recommendation of a friend. Received and accepted a very fair quote. Sonos was provided at retail, but would be professionally installed. They came, after several emails, and performed the service.
The hanging of the TV was excellent. Well worth the money to have it done professionally. The Sonos install consisted of Surround sound and tow additional rooms. It also went well. However the speakers were white and I would have preferred black. During a conversation regarding this, the company asked if I would prefer black. Given the choice, I said "yes". They then volunteered to switch them for me. They asked that we save all of the packing materials of the speakers so they could be repacked when the black ones were installed.
I emailed them within a few days, as they requested, and asked that 2 of the 4 speakers be changed to black and I also requested that one additional black speaker be installed.
Weeks went by with no response, so I followed up with another email. Then 2 voicemails. Many weeks later, on the third phone call I reached them and was advised, in a less than friendly

, that there was "a delay in receiving the equipment". It has been months and no word or equipment.
There are many options for vendors in this area, I cannot recommend this vendor.

1. Purchase the mounting brackets that you desire beforehand.

2. Buy HDMI, Optical, or whatever cables you need beforehand.

3. Make sure cables are extra long to accommodate TV location.

4. If you want to hide all wires in the wall (I'd assume most would)

will add $150 charge for special power attachment.

They say this is needed to meet fire code (not mentioned upfront).

The team at
Cadillac Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
was fantastic to work with. I called a few other providers who were local to Orange County, but all of them were slow to respond, or didn't seem that interested in the job. The office staff was quick to respond to my email inquiry, I emailed that at night and
Cadillac Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
gave me a call the following day. They answered emails and returned phone calls quickly. It's this attention to detail that makes projects go smoothly and they exceeded everyone else I contacted. Their bid was also one of the lowest, but that was just icing on the cake. It was the excellent customer service, and the Angie's List award, from the start that convinced me they were to right choice.

showed up on time and started work right away. They opened up small holes in the walls and fished all the cables though. This really impressed me. Another contractor wanted to make much bigger holes and cut through some studs in order to run the cables. I'm sure that would probably have come out ok, but I wanted the minimum amount of cutting possible and I really the guys really came through. They mostly filled in the holes so all I have left is to do the finish work on the drywall patch. The guys have a drywall guy on the team, but since I was in OC and they're in SD it was too far for the drywall guy. But they offer drywall repair too.
Overall, I'm super happy with the job they did. I'd definitely hire them again for my next job, assuming they're willing to come up to OC again!
- Vang M.

Went well for the most part. I was able to get the work done the next day after the initial call. Guys were very professional and efficient. The only issue I had was with the price. The $225 to mount the TV seems to be the going rate. The $100 to relocate the electrical was not completely unexpected. But the $149 to mount the sound bar - which basically consisted of screwing in two small brackets that came with the sound bar - was a little over the top and honestly left a bad taste in my mouth.
