My contract expires in two months and will quit them and find someone better. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

ATT rewired my U-Verse System and the phone connection for the Security
System was interrupted. It was not immediately apparent evidencing
itself after a power outage. When the power was restored the phone

company that monitors the system is incredible. They call within 30
seconds of receiving an alarm. We have had a few alarms caused by entering the wrong door when the alarm is set mainly.

. They won out because they were one of the few places that had standard cellular monitoring (at no extra cost). They also have crash and smash protection, which is another big plus. Installation was extremely easy and their support people were responsive and very helpful in getting the equipment set up. We had a dead battery in our panel after about 6 months -- I was notified via email about that, and once I called them, they were able to walk me through diagnosing and replacing it very quickly. Customer service is a huge plus -- I can always get right through and they're support people are friendly and knowledgeable. One other unexpected benefit was the phone app they provided. I used it all the time (maybe more than the panel). Overall, great experience.

I am under contract with Guardian and therefore every time we move we have to renew our contract or pay hundreds of dollars to get out of the contract. Hopefully one day I can be outside a contract with them so I can cancel. The Angie's list rating is a complete sham the company requests / requires you to fill out an Angie's list form to provide feedback on your installer. If you try to provide good feedback on your installer then Guardian gets a good rating on Agnie's list. I believe this to be very misleading. I've had guardian now in 3 homes an every time it takes at a minimum of 4 -5 calls to get the security system up and running properly or turned off at the prior home, billing issues etc. The installers are always very nice and do a good job, clean up etc. the actual company is terrible to work with. I believe Angie's list should review how this company incorrectly reports their 'A' rating. I've now called 4 times to turn off my previous home after this move, we're still having issues with how the new system is working at the new home I anticipate at least 3 more calls to get this all sorted. I do not consider this to good service.

On 4 September 2014, the salesman provided a quote for services. When I objected to the extravagant prices and 'contract' term, the salesman made adjustments. The salesman also stated that he guaranteed that 8 September, a satisfactory installation timetable would be provided. It is 15 September and I have not received an installation date. No surprises, which is good. Very easy to self install. Alarm is not as load as a wired system with a horn or speaker in the attic but other then that, very happy with the service. Phone controls are very easy and convenient. I can set the alarm while away from the house or disarm the system.

We were sick and tired of the lousy customer service and extremely high pricing of ADT so we started looking around for a more local company. We found

and decided to give them a shot. Their monitoring center is in Plano, which is a lot closer than ADT (Florida, I think).

sent out a tech to switch our existing ADT Safewatch (Honewell Vista) system over to them. The tech was courteous and on time.
I test the system monthly by setting it off and they are always calling to verify within about 30-45 seconds, which is amazing. With ADT we would usually be waiting at least 3-5 minutes if not longer.
One thing we were not aware of until the system went off one day was that the cellular communicator

installs by default only transmits to them that there is a burglar or fire alarm going off. It does not transmit zone info, silent panic/duress, battery status, system trouble, etc. We were kind of surprised that when they called they could not tell us what had set it off since when we had ADT they could. Thankfully it turned out just to be a bad storm that set off one of the really old glass breaks. I ended up ordering a new one online and replaced it myself. The rep on the phone told us if you want to be able to know the specific zones, duress, system trouble, etc the system must either be connected to a phone line or you must have the upgraded cell transmitter installed. We were not too happy about that, but thankfully the rep agreed to send a tech back out at no charge to connect it to our phone line in addition to leaving the cell transmitter as back-up. They said they typically require that you have a traditional POTS line from At&t, Verizon, Windstream, or whoever is the local phone company in your area, but they will also connect it to U-Verse phone lines and cable company phone services such as Comcast. They said they will not connect to services such as Magic

or Vonage. We have U-Verse so that was fine. They came out and connected it and now it transmits everything, including zone info and duress. The cell transmitter is still connected as a backup incase the U-Verse goes out for some reason (which is extremely rare) or someone cuts the phone line outside.
One other issue I have noticed is that if you do not have an existing system or you do but it is extremely old is that they only install basic DSC brand equipment. They are lower quality and do not have as many features. Its more of a personal preference thing, but I tend to prefer higher quality equipment such as the
