"
has a great eye for color and assessing the area and giving suggestions. She always listens to your thoughts and vision AND only seems to improve on the idea." On this most recent job we had an idea for petroglyphs but she suggested that it might be too busy and would detract from the onyx, light fixture etc of our recent remodel. She suggested that we focus on an individual item in our light fixtures. So, she replicated a feather and painted an enlarged one on the wall above the walk in closet. Basically, she talked herself out of a more involved job for the sake of what would look right of the space. She is very professional and was respectful of home. We plan to have her back again to tweak our den!

"I asked the individual that had installed a new 400 foot fence for me if he knew of anyone that could apply
's sealer on it. Without hesitation, he recommended"
Grant, the owner of
, for the job. I contacted
and we agreed on a what I thought was a very reasonable price, which included both materials & labor, and a date for the work to be done. On the day of the job,
& her daughter arrived on time and proceeded to spray sealer on the entire fence. They worked non stop until the job was complete. A few days later, after the sealer had dried, I noticed a few areas that needed more than one coat. I contacted
and the following week she returned and applied a second coat of sealer to those areas.. At no additional charge!!
Grant is a professional and very neat & tidy with what she does. I was very satisfied with what she did for me and highly recommend her.

"Change bland walls into fascinating walls. I knew
first as an artist since I had purchased one of his paintings about a ear ago. When he told me that he used" to do set design in London and had worked with a fashionable interior decorative firm when he lived in Los
, I asked him if he could "do something" with reception vestibule and my library. He utilized the existing color as an undercoat, textured the walls with additional colors, and finally, hand painted various streaks of copper and gold to provide an illusion of depth. He told me that he learned to work with "illusion" while painting set designs for the London theater. I was so pleased with the job that I have asked
to do my living room and dining areas. This not just "wall painting' it's working with color and creating impressions. Sort of a mixture of wall painting and art. I've seen pictures of some of his jobs in Los
; he could enhance my walls with painted wisteria if that was my goal.

I would ask local antique shops and art stores (ones selling art and frames, not galleries) if they repair antiques, AND for references, so the repair does not decrease its value unecessarily. In many cases the old frame is worth more than the painting !

You could also ask local art museums who they use to repair/rehab frames, if they do not do it themselves.

Exterior Painting
I was a little reluctant to hire her simply because it was a big job. Before she started the project, she told me that she paints very fast! She did an excellent job! She knew what she was doing and was very thorough. She charges by the hour and is very reasonable and she paints really fast!
Interior Painting
She painted interior walls in difficult colors (black, red, gray). She was very precise with the colors. Again very fast and neat.
Faux Painting
I had custom maple doors hung and realized the white door frames and trim needed to be replaced. This would have been a very expensive job because it would have included replacing door frames and trim and plaster work, in addition to the cost of the new frames.
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
talked me into letting her try faux wood painting the existing wood. The white frames/trim now look seamless, like the same maple wood used for the custom doors. I have since found out that faux painting is one of her specialties.
She does exceptional work. She is fair, honest, and professional.

I contacted
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
, via Angie's List. She returned my call less than a day, alter, and came to our house a few days after that to evaluate the job.
I'd contacted two other providers, but
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
was the least expensive, and I felt would do a much better job than the other two. I had no idea she would be this good, though.
She listened to what we wanted/needed, and so quickly provided us with samples of what would be perfect, that it seemed like she was reading our minds.
The job took three days to complete (she had an assistant on one day) and she showed up on time, and with a warm smile each time.
I cannot tell you how extraordinary her work is: beautiful and elegant, it makes our master bath feel like a spa, and it connects our pool area with the woods that surround it, without being over the top or "on the nose". It's subtle work that leaves us feeling emotionally at ease, every time we walk out to go swimming.

He's absolutely amazing. He painted the most adorable mural of animals using the letters of my son's name. He was a baby but as he gets older he really appreciates it and notices it. He also did work on my house when we first moved in. It's called faux work. He marbleized (I'm probably spelling this wrong) but he made my fireplace mantle look like marble. He also restored my built-ins. I live in a 1925 home and someone had painted all the beautiful built-ins with white paint. He sanded off the white paint and restored it to its beautiful, original

. He also does faux work on the ceilings and both in and out of historic buildings. I wish he was still in California but Albuquerque is now lucky to have him.

This is the 2nd project with
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
and again, a great experience. She is the utmost professional, providing design ideas, and being patient throughout while I explored different looks and being flexible as ideas changed. I took a lot of time to make a decision and she never pressured me and was always accommodating, making up sample boards so I could see them all next to each other. She did a great job applying the lusterstone, ensuring smooth professional finish. Sometimes painters get a little sloppy on the edges but
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
did a fabulous job ensuring straight even edges. I was hesitate to go with black trim (my daughter wanted a more dramatic black and white room) but it turned out beautiful and very classily done. She came up with the idea to create a chair rail effect by painting thin black stripes with light glitter in between and it was beautiful. My daughter loves it and others have "oohed and aahed" over it. Previously she faux painted the master bedroom (a very large room) and again did a great job, never tiring and getting sloppy as the job wore on. She obviously has a lot of pride in her work and maintains quality approach till the very end. I would not hesitate to use her again and highly recommend her!

Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
and her colleague
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
did an amazing job and made the dresser I wanted updated to look exactly as I hoped!
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
was very responsive and we went back and forth about my vision for the dresser, which I wanted both painted and structurally changed. I wanted the dresser raised by 4 inches so that I could also use it as a changing table for the nursery.
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
and
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
created a new wood base for the dresser that raised its height, but looked like it was part of the original piece of furniture - I was so pleased with how it turned out! I wanted to stay true to the original design/style of the piece and they did exactly that. I was very appreciative of how much they consulted me to ensure that they were staying true to my vision of the piece as they did the work, and also came up with great suggestions as we went through the process as they are the experts and their advice was key to getting to the right place. They have a deep expertise in furniture painting and build, so their input was extremely helpful and made sure we ended up with a final product that looked great.
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
is excellent at furniture painting, new the best paint/material to get the look I wanted for the most reasonable cost, and was very helpful on pinpointing the right color for the space.
Once I had the color picked out,
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
handled purchasing the paint, etc, which was very convenient. She also came and did the painting at my house which was great for me as I did not need to lug the dresser anywhere or pick it up afterwards.
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
is also a very friendly, fun person to work with and is great at offering advice when needed but also deferring to client to make sure it is their vision that is executed. Overall, a fantastic experience and I will definitely work with
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
and her team again!

First of all when I met
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
he was very nice and very interested in what my vision was. We agreed on a picture using photoshop of what I wanted. He showed up on time and was very pleasant to deal with. Immediately his talent begin to show. As he started on the Ringed Planet I could tell I was going to be very happy. After he had left I noticed that the perspective of the Rings was off. I told him about my concern. The next time he was out before I knew it he had corrected the Rings as I had asked. When I saw what he had done I was extremely happy. He completed
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
in the time he said and at no additional cost.
I highly recommend
Portland Artists Provider Name Locked
. It will be better than your wildest dreams.
