"Since the bookcase is a creative item we inherited with the house and is really meant to serve as a sliding door of sorts to our attic,
had" to trouble shoot and employ a little creative problem solving to create a safe and secure slide rail for our rolling bookcase.
was very prompt with his communication when I enquired about an estimate. He called back when promised and even came well out of his normal working area to help solve our issue.
is very personable and engaging - he took the time to show me what he was thinking by drawing me a picture of his proposed solution.
came out the first time and created a temporary, more secure closing method so I would not have to drill a screw to keep the book case secure and stable. During that time we also discussed what would be the best permanent solution. He agreed to craft the part needed and return for installation. I expected to hear back in about a week. However, just two days later
called and told me he had made the part and could come out on Saturday morning of the same week to do the install. I was pleasantly surprised and am very happy with the results.

Finish carpenters can design, build and install woodwork structures in your house to enhance the quality and adorn the attractive appearance of your home. There carpenters can complete several different jobs for new homes or remodeling of an existing house.

Baseboards and molding

Baseboards and molding serve a practical function -- covering up the space where walls and floors join, as well as protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. But they also provide a decorating opportunity.

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

He was able to give us a written quote on the spot. We had bad weather on the day the work was scheduled.
Hancock Carpenters Provider Name Locked
phoned ahead to say he would be an hour late. They showed up on time and the job was a little more extensive than originally planned but they got all the work completed on time and cleaned up before the left. Sag is now eliminated! He also did it on budget quoted.

His communication was prompt and courteous. He came out to see the project before creating an estimate, as was my preference given the task.

Initial framing, trim, and installation of the door were fine. As were the two smaller projects.

However, the finish work demonstrated carelessness:...More />
- He failed to use the template included with the doorknob to measure before cutting a knob opening in the one-of-a-kind solid wood door. So the turning mechanism couldn't fit. (I installed a ball latch, asked that the plug be replaced so that I can install a true dummy knob.)

- He did not sand the exposed

of the 1/4" cedar plywood shelves. I would have balked at the choice of 1/4" shelves, but I can have those fixed later.

- He left a very noticeable scorch
Hancock Carpenters Provider Name Locked
on the original top-nail oak hardwood floor inside the closet.

- Plaster demolition is certainly a messy affair, but the mess could have been contained by closing doors and using a plastic sheet. I spent a lot of time cleaning plaster and sawdust that spread through the house.

He acknowledged the mistake with the doorknob and did consult with a locksmith on remedies. I chose my remedy as the more elegant solution.

He is a nice guy, but never apologized for scorching the floor when I brought it up. I think that is just bad manners and unprofessional.

He adjusted the price down $100, ultimately.

They showed up one time for an estimate to seal the garage and seal a piece of rotten wood by the garage area as well. They never contacted me back after the estimate to let me know when they could do the work. I never ended up having the deal honored. The technician seemed trustworthy while he was out. It did take a while to get in touch with them initially and scheduled out. They were pretty booked up. I am not sure I just was forgotten about and would like to know what happened.

We had done our homework and knew what we wanted for cabinet refacing, quartz counters, faucets, sinks. The installers the company sent were punctual which we appreciated. The installations of everything went well but there was a definite lack of attention to details: a 6 by 6 inch hole left for weeks in our kitchen touching a electrical switch box, true it was covered when the backsplash was put in but it was unsightly and next to an electrical outlet, a gap around our kitchen island created from replacing the old counter with the new, yes our old molding was used to close the gap but I had to seal the new nail whole and paint the wall, I has to ask for sealer around the new bathroom sinks where there was a visible gap from the top of the counter to the top of the sink. Fine, finished details is a weakness. the plumbers did a good job in their instillation of kitchen sink, faucets, garbage disposal, filtered water faucet.

At first I communicated with emails because I like documentation. No email was ever responded to. Phone calls had time delays up to more than 24 hours. Texting seemed to work but with delays. During the project, I stopped in the office to communicate some concerns. I learned our project manager was on a 4 day cruise. Someone in the office wrote down my concerns but no one in management or anyone else responded. I had to wait until our project manager returned from the cruise. All the workmen, installers, plumbers etc. arrived on time. CThe workmen who did all the installation were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. We took the precautions of covering our furniture with plastic when the kitchen counters were installed. There was a significant about of “quartz dust” from the drilling of the holes for the faucets.

We purchased all the faucets for bathroom sinks, kitchen sink, the kitchen sink, water filtration faucet and garbage disposal independently from the company. The two new bathroom sinks were purchased from the company. The company staff were polite.

The lack of prompt communication, the lack of attention to installation details are the reasons I would not hire the company again.
