I called the company because of a problem with the dishwasher. It was leaking from the release valve at the sink and water would flow on to the counter and then to the floor. When I called the company they told me that the minimum charge to come out was $65 but that it would be waived if I did the repairs. My appointment was between 9-12. At 12:00PM when no one had shown up, I called the company for status. They said the tech would be there in 20 minutes. The tech showed up at 1:30PM. The repair turned out to be a

one and he was done in 15 minutes. He presented me with a $150 bill which he said was their minimum labor charge. I told him that no one had communicated this to me and that I would have to call the company. I explained the situation to the person I spoke to at their main number. She asked me if I had been presented with and signed an estimate prior to the technician completing the work. I had not. She told me I was only liable for the $65 service charge. I did not rate the quality of the repair because I need to wait a while and run the dishwasher a few times before I pronounce it to be fixed. I would not recommend this company or use them again in the future.

senior and junior as well as the mother cannot be beat. They have all given me expert advice about the use and care of my appliances. Case in point: Spring of 2012, I had my kitchen remodeled. I went to them to ask about appliance selections. They asked me to consider a Kitchen Aid Suite. I went with their suggestions and could not be happier. Their pricing was very close to internet pricing. Their after sale service was even better! A few weeks after my kitchen was complete, I stopped at the store to see if I could get a couple of extra shelves for my refrigerator.

OK, overall. Positives: he was clearly competent to make this repair. It was a minor part that needed replacement (thermal fuse, $15.) & he had one in stock in his van & installed it. That did the trick to fix the heating issue & the dryer was back up & running within an hour.
On the other hand, he neglected to inform us when we scheduled the visit, or upon arrival, that he charged a 'house call' fee of $79 in addition to his hourly rate ($80) for whatever time he incurred doing the repairs. I know this kind of fee isn't unusual in the trade, but I think a responsible business owner should make it a point to be explicit about disclosing that policy beforehand, rather than risk alienating customers who would be surprised by that information (we were). Plus, that works out to $160/hr. for the service actually rendered for this visit--comparable to an attorney's hourly rate.
And, he tried twice to convince us that we should invest over $300 to thoroughly clean & refurbish our dryer that day, when we were clear with him that we didn't think this was a good use of funds for an old dryer that could be replaced for a little more than that. I don't begrudge the attempt to earn more of our business, but I don't think he is a very good listener. Most people would not feel this was a good cost-benefit trade-off.

This is the second time we bought an appliance from DeWitts and we will use them again. They always have inventory in stock or can get what I need quickly. DeWitts also has the best prices in town. They make shopping easy because I can research what I want on-line, call them up with the make and model number and they will give me a delivery date. The only challenge I've had is with installation timing, but that may be a seasonal problem. Our

The owner called me back to get some information about my broken appliance. I looked at several chain stores and did not find refrigerators that had the size or features I wanted or learned that it would be three to four weeks before delivery and installation. As I was using a dorm-size refrigerator, I wanted to replace my refrigerator ASAP. I decided on a Wednesday to look at the appliances offered by

. The owner's mother is the main salesperson and is extremely knowledgeable about the appliance products the company sells. She is also quite outgoing and personable. I gave her my list of requirements and she suggested three models, all of which were available to inspect (although two were in a smaller/larger size). I was wary that I would have to wait several weeks for delivery, but she assured me that they could be ordered and delivered by the beginning of the next week. The pricing was very competitive with my research at the large chain stores.
The next day I made my decision and ordered a Maytag bottom-freezer refrigerator with ice maker. Later that day, the owner phoned and scheduled delivery for the next Tuesday. On Tuesday, the owner and his son estimated their arrival at about 3 p.m. About noon, he phoned to say that they would be delayed about an hour as a previous job was taking extra time. Almost exactly at 4 p.m. they arrived at my home. They removed my old refrigerator, including detaching the ice maker line. I then had a few minutes to thoroughly clean the walls and floor, and they quickly installed the new refrigerator, including ice maker, and switched to door opening to suit my kitchen layout. The entire process took less than 45 minutes.
I will soon be shopping for a new clothes washer and will definitely choose

A customer service rep, during a call I made at 3:52 pm, told me that the repair service would call back today about repairing my fridge later today. I was given a "service work order" number for confirmation that I was to provide to the technician that would repair my refrigerator today.
It is now 7:25. The service department has neither contacted me or arrived to provide the service I requested. I called again at 7:13 to inquire about the delay and could not talk to a live person.

The sale I have no problem with, the delivery service is terrible.
I discussed how to get to my house and told the sales people that I have a very steep driveway. The number for my house if plainly visible from the road. However the delivery man could not find my house, he was about three doors down in a huge 26' truck. He called a number of times to confirm my address but even though I could see him half a block down from my address, he couldn't find me. I had moved my little pickup off my drive to allow him better access and mobility at the top of the drive with his truck. He refused to drive up the driveway and asked me to load the refrigerator on to my truck or to get a friend with a truck to bring it up the driveway. He is the delivery man, not me, not my friends. They stated that the truck they were driving was too big, and they would have to reschedule. They called to confirm the rescheduled delivery and asked if I would like to talk to a customer service person and I chose to do this; to make certain they were going to have the adequate staff and truck for the job; unfortunately after being put on hold twice and over ten minutes waiting I was disconnected. I am not impressed.
