The details are too many to list on this website. If anyone wants more information, I have compiled a letter for the BBB. I will be happy to email you the entire version. At first I was hesitant to hire an inexperienced contractor who had never done a full master bath remodel, but he assured me that he could get the job done in 2-3 weeks in a professional manner. I asked him how he would accomplish the job since he had no employees. He assured me that he would hire help. He also stated that the remodel on my house was the only work he would be doing so he would devote his time to my remodel. He gave me an estimate of 11,345, half of which he required up front and said it would be used to purchase materials excluding two closet door knobs and plumbing fixtures. His estimate did not include electrical work. I gave him a check for 5,672.50. The job took six weeks and 3 days. On the last day Rich walked out without completing the touch up jobs he promised he would do. May 5th 2014-demolition began May 6th at 10:37 am he let me know that he was not at my house yet because he had a little job to do to put some extra cash in his pocket. May 8th-We went to supplier to order tiles. When Rich went to pay, his credit card was declined. I had to pay the 2,237.16. May 9th- 8:43 am- I received a text saying he wouldn’t be by until later because he had a few small jobs to do. May 9th 10:45 am-received a text saying he would not be coming by and he would let me know if something changed. Saturday June 7th-Rich asked me if he could work on Sunday June 8th. I agreed and asked what time. We agreed on 8:30 am. When he was not present at 9:46 am, I sent him a text asking if he was coming. He arrived after noon. When I asked what happened he replied that his girlfriend wanted him to stay home. On two occasions he arrived around 8:30 am. Beyond that he arrived around 9:30 am but usually much later. One day I asked his why he came in so late and he replied that he needed to go to a depressed friend’s house to make sure he got up for work. He always took a minimum of 2 hours for lunch. When it came time to order the granite he admitted that he had no money left from the down payment I gave him. Once again I had to buy a material that he was supposed purchase. He miscalculated on the floor tiles by 4 boxes, and the stone tiles by 5 flats. Six weeks after beginning the project, on June 13th he completed most of the work, but still had not repaired the flaws that I had repeatedly asked him to do. I decided to pay him the remainder of the balance owed him since I would be gone for a week even though he was supposed to be done well before that time. I left for vacation June 14th. He was well aware of my return date of June 21st. He promised that he would do the touch ups the week after my return. When it texted him on Monday June 23 he stated he couldn’t come as promised since he was booked up for the week. I told him this was not acceptable. He returned June 26th and 27th After trying to get him to correct the flaws he said “The bathroom looks wonderful and walked out. He charged an extra 1,000 to remove “black mold” from my very small shower. He never made any kind of effort to contain the toxic substance as he called it, or wear any protective equipment, even though he knew that there is a 3 year old child in the house every evening. As far as I know he is not trained to handle toxic mold. Now I’m concerned about the potential problems that I can’t see. I have submitted a few pics (not all of them) of how his work looked when he walked out and refused to do the touch up work.

Possibly the best remodeling experience I've had! I have a 1918 house, and I chose
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
because they understand and like old houses, because they have a very good web site, because they are NARI certified, and because they have terrific reviews on Angie's List. This was a bathroom on the 2nd floor that had first been created out of a closet in the 1960's or 70's, and was tired and dated. Foil wall paper, anyone? The shower had ceased working, and was cramped and had plastic walls. So

demolished it all down to the studs -- lots of carrying stuff out the door. They were so clean I didn't even know they'd been there when I got home from work.

had recommended several LOCAL vendors where I picked out all my fixtures, shower

was patient with me when I insisted on unglazed porcelain floor tile from Heritage Tile, and light fixtures from Schoolhouse Electric.

ran the project. He's friendly, realistic, practical, and keeps the project moving and on schedule. He also helped out with some of the work.

did all the work (except plumbing and electrical). He's amazing -- he can do everything from carpentry to sheetrock to tiling (floor and wall). They do truly treat your house as if it was theirs -- clean, neat. They had good ideas, such as moving the shower head to the "high side" of the sloped ceiling, so I no longer have to hunch over in the shower. They built a nice wall niche to hold shampoo and stuff in a space efficient way (very important in this tiny space), and they put a light in the shower. The workmanship is of the highest quality, and everything was figured out very well. In this tight space, there were challenges, and I was impressed with how smoothly everything came together. I've been using my new bathroom for a few weeks now, and I just love, love, love it! It looks like it belongs to the time period of the house, yet it has all the modern conveniences. I feel like it will last another 90 years, because of the quality components and the workmanship. Just what an old house deserves. I feel like I haven't said enough good things about

My kitchen/ bath designer

Sullivan and her assistant
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
did a great job. The size of the project was quite challenging, but they kept everything on track. I was very impressed with their install team especailly Pat

and his crew. They were very thoghtful to always cover my floors and to keep the disruption to a minimum. I am so glad that they discovered a leak in my bathroom which was leaking into the kitchen as it would have damaged my new kitchen cabinets. My favorite feature is my new master bath complete with walk in shower. This bathroom really looks like a master bath.

I can't say enough good things about
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. When we decided it was time to redo our kitchen we weren't sure if we should go with a designer. We had a medium-sized budget and a very tricky space. I had always thought that using designers was something "rich folks" did, and that was not us. Using a designer may be a little more expensive than just kitchen contractor or doing it yourself, but unless you have experience and a great eye for space and detail I think you are better off in the long run with a designer.
We had a definite idea of what we wanted aesthetically and
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was very open to our sense of style. We had so much fun collaborating. When she got a sense of who we were both stylistically and how we live and use our kitchen she absolutely made the most of our space and budget. We cook a lot and love to entertain. This kitchen has changed our lives! Eight months later we still get so happy to be in our new space.

was great helping us pick out a contractor. She was not the kind of person that insisted we use "her people". But she shared her opinion and the names of trusted people she has used. If a problem came up, she was there to figure it out. She managed the timeline of the project so that everything was in place before we began construction, so that we were out of our kitchen the shortest time possible. Bottom line we are so happy with the finished product and working with

was an absolute pleasure!

and

are great communicators and very trustworthy. We felt very comfortable allowing them access to our home even when we weren't there Did a quality job and I will be including them in the next bid we have for future remodel work. Would recommended them to friends and family for sure. This was the first time we had used them but it truly felt as though we had known them for years.

Have used them in the past for a bathroom remodel.
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
really stays on top of things. Was not happy with the painter's work at prep on the walls but, overall, happy with the results.
Called them out for a quote on a kitchen remodel and adding a few cabinets in the pantry and on sides of the fireplace, removing a soffit and taking down a small wall. Would have to replace a

, microwave and vent, new counters, sink, etc. now, we have a small galley kitchen. They came in with a bid of over $60,000!! I almost choked!! Just to expensive! We will have to get other quotes but I would definitely recommend them if you can afford it.

It's a nightmare. Project started in January 2014, completed 60%, very poor communication on work schedule. Agreed to finish in 5 to 6 weeks, now we are in 8th month only 60% of the work completed. I have never met anyone in my life that

Poor communication and even worse integrity. I never ever recommend to anyone.

We received 4 bids to complete a major renovation of our home and decided to go with
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
because of their combination of excellent reviews on Angie's List, the fact that they're local to our neighborhood, and the quality of the estimate. Work started in early
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and finished mid-August (about 8 weeks), which is exactly how long we were quoted.
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
helped us through every step of the process - hiring an Architect, permitting through the city, making important decisions - everything. He was always prompt in his responses and completely upfront about the cost. There were no surprises, and believe me when I tell you that our home (with custom EVERYTHING) should have resulted in all kinds of surprises.

and his crew worked hard, every day for 8 weeks. He responded to every question and every piece of feedback we had, usually within an hour. He charged us exactly what he said he would charge us and the quality of his work is fantastic.

Probably the best experience we've had working with a contractor. As others have indicated the crew is polite, professional, and very neat.
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
provided good advice up front,
Edgecomb Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and the crew managed the job and expectations appropriately and in the end we have a bathroom that we are very happy with. During the remodel they encountered an issue with the sub providing the counters which delayed the job by about a week. Without our asking they went out of their way to make up for the delay in other ways and ensure we were happy. I would definitely use them again.
