"My only complaint is that appointments never happen on time. The wait is usually at least 15 - 30 minutes past the set appointment. It is a busy practice and I can" handle that because the care is so good. I have had 2 insurance companies with them and they handled all the filing without any issues for me. The doctor I see there is Dr.
and he has treated both an elbow and Achilles tendon injury quite well.

"In 2012, I was in a horse back riding accident that left me shattered- literally. I suffered from a tri-mal ankle fracture, and had fractured my tibia pretty badly." I had two doctors tell me I would never ride or run again, and that wasn't an option to me. I was referred to Dr.
, and he was the first doctor who really believed I could- and would- be able to live my life the way I wanted to. He was very professional, friendly, and charismatic- he's very easy to get along with. Great guy! More importantly, he's great as his job. It has been 2 1/2 years since my accident, two surgeries, and 4 months of no weight on my injured ankle, but I have my life back. I can ride, run, wakeboard, snowboard, you name it. With his help, we were able to prove the other doctors wrong. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr.
. He gave me my life back.

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Hi,

This is James W. with Member Care. Thanks for posting your question.

It looks like when you signed up online on 8/5/2014, that you accidentally joined our greater Portland chapter instead of our Salem/Corvallis chapter that your zip code falls under. I have transferred your subscription to that chapter, so you will now have access to the correct area.

I hope this information helps! Please let me know if I can assist further. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at 1-866-783-2980. We're open weekdays from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET.

Thanks again!

My injury is actually from
Brewer Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
2013 from water aerobics. I immediately scheduled a visit with him then and he did x-rays and said it was a torn rotator cuff. Offered a cortisone shot but I opted to do in home therapy cause he said if I did that it would take a little longer to heal - but it would heal.
Fast forward nearly 2 years and my pain was worse. I went back to him and he suggested that I was" interpreting my pain wrong" and that he believed it was a neck injury. He went ahead and gave my shoulder a shot but it did nothing for me.
He referred me to Another dr in the clinic to address the neck pain and she did an MRI and found the not only did I have a neck injury but alsoa shoulder injury that requires surgery. She is treating me for the neck issue then I will have her refer me to a different shoulder doctor.
Sometimes patient and doctor just doesn't click and this was one of those times

He is wonderful! He’s very compassionate and professional. He has performed 2 surgeries on my daughter, both of which have been very successful. He is very good about explaining in detail what is going to happen and what to expect. Once you are an established patient, it is very easy to get any appointment, but new patients might have to wait a couple weeks. The office staff is excellent and he has been very helpful for us.

I was seen by him several times for treatment and follow up during the first 10 months of 2014. He administered 2 cortisone injections and sent me for physical therapy. He also recommended adding some stretching exercises to my workout regimen. ||If you must have a cortisone shot, he has great skills as a doctor. So many people have told me these injections are painful, but he did 2 of them for me and I was really surprised that I felt no pain. He will get you a diagnostic test if you need it, and he won't have you waste time/money on tests you don't need.||He is thorough and will take excellent care of you.

I'm recovering very well in large part due to her care. The physical therapists work for the doctor's office so the care is very coordinated. I would recommend her to anyone with any orthopedic issues.

From the very start, I found Dr.
Brewer Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
to be a "no nonsense" kind of Dr. She kidded me as being one of those Guitar player people. And because we do abuse our hands for hours at a time, she probably has grown to recognize us as we walk in the door. That said, she asked me why I waited so long to have this looked at. I wasn't sure how to answer, so I just told her the truth.. I was afraid. She carefully examined my hand, noticed my callouses (and possibly the neatly trimmed nails on my left hand only) and asked specific questions regarding how long before fingers go numb etc..Even though I was convinced that she could clearly see my problem, she wasn't so quick to just stamp a number on me and send me down the assembly line. She was interested in how I planned to rehabilitate after the surgery and what my future plans were for guitar playing. When I told her that I would do as she said regarding those things, she began to explain. I will ruin what she just fixed if I do not allow time for healing. It seemed that she wanted to hear my side and how interested I was in a successful outcome before she would agree to do the surgery. She may have agreed to do it anyway without my assurances of cooperation but as least she knew that I knew how recovery would go if I did not listen to her advise and follow her instruction. She seemed interested in long term success. and so was I.. Well, I did as she told me, and today I have a wonderful fully functioning hand. She repaired the trigger finger that required a ligament release/repair on the middle finger and she corrected the CTS . No more numb fingers..!! Where I couldn't play through even 1 song before , now after surgery I can play without any numbness at all through several. I don't play for hours on end like I used to , because as Dr.

explained CTS is an overuse injury. My hand is strong and fully usable....so I moderate my playing to keep it that way..I show of the surgery sites and have told many of my experience. I have had to actually draw a pen line on the incision line because they are that hard to see. So now 18 months later I went back to Dr.
Brewer Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
to get my right hand done as it developed the exact same trigger finger and CTS. She was warm and friendly. Now that I knew what to expect, I was much more prepared to get the right hand done. I am now 1 month post surgery and back to work. Surgery sites, beautiful, clean, neat, hardly a scar to see!! I am taking care during the recovery time because I know I will experience a full recovery if I continue to follow her instructions. She knows what she is doing, and her staff is just awesome.!! Thank you for giving me my hands back !!
