"Phone calls were always returned promptly. With an auction it is hard to tell if the auctioneer doesn't work to get the price higher or if there is just not the interest. He thought the house would sell in the $20s with a minimum of $15,000. It sold for $15000. There were only 2 bidders. Is the lack of interest the house, auctioneer or advertising. All the household items were sold but sometimes a table full of items went for just a couple dollars. We were definitely disappointed with the outcome. But the company did do everything they were contracted to do. The requirements that are set up before the auction to be sure the bidders are qualified and the closing company used, made the closing run smoothly. Pictures were taken of items and they were posted on the auction website. I was not impressed with several pictures taken, backgrounds that were confusing or pictures were blurry. There was a fee of $500 for advertising but we never got an itemization on how it was spent. They set up everything on the lawn for the auction and we didn't have to do anything. After the auction, we were told that the money from the personal property sold would be sent to us within a few days with an itemized list. Two weeks later we had to call and ask for it.

"They tried hard but it wasn't highly successful. They claimed people would come from a long distance for the sale but in fact there were only local people, and since this company did not have a following in my area they did not attract the higher end buyers. They claimed it was the fault of the location, being somewhat off the main road, however other local estate sellers do fine in my area. They did not have a person on duty in each room so there was limited guarding against theft. They had a very hokey way of pricing things with just a piece of masking tape, and they did limited research on value of the pieces. Another issue is that I was treated with some disdain at one time, which I found highly insulting. The price was reasonable - no up front or additional costs and they just took a percentage of the sale.

"Told us what the potential profit from sale would be. Organized and priced items. Disbursed items after sale that were not sold.

Porter were helpful, supportive and energetic even though our sale would be a small one. My mother lives in a gated community that did not allow signs, but they were able to get people out to the sale. Their fee is 35% which seems common for our size sale. We had 3 estimates and were glad we chose

"It went completely wrong. Once she collected her fee we did not see her again. Her people damaged items that were for sale and a couple of sprinkler heads on our property. Once the sale was complete we could not get hold of her so that we could collect our share of the estate sale which was supposed to be 60%. We tried everything - phone calls, texts, emails. She gave us every excuse in the book - she fell and hit her head and had a concussion, she was with a grieving employee who had a death in the family, she was out of town, etc. It wasn't until my husband threatened to involve the police that she agreed to meet and pay us. We took the check she provided us straight to the bank only to find out a week later it bounced. When we called her to get it sorted out she said she was out of town for Christmas and would deal with it when she got back from vacation because she had no idea where her bookkeeper was. Seems odd to not have any clue where the person managing your company's account is but I have since found out there is no bookkeeper. Since we were unable to get resolution with

"The people at
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
are professional and friendly. They clearly explained all that would be done and did everything they said they would do. They spent about three weeks preparing for the sale. I visited during this time and they were very busy researching each item on the internet looking for the same or similar items to price accordingly. Each and every item was tagged with the prices found. They brought in tables, shelving, baskets, etc. to professionally stage/display all the items for sale. The sale was conducted over two days and was handled in a professional and orderly fashion with signs directing customers in and to ask for information. A checkout area with tables was established in the garage with lots of friendly people helping customers buy and load their items.

has a network of buyers. They take pictures of sale items and email those to their network of buyers. Our sale went extremely well with most items sold on the fist day. The second day, items were discounted based on what and how much was left and nearly everything was sold. The final sale amount exceeded our expectations.
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
handles everything with negligible support required. The home was completely empty and clean from top to bottom when turned back over for use to sell the home. Their service is well worth the fee they charge. I would not hesitate to use them again or refer others to them.

"Awesome, really awesome!
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
and her company were truly an answer to a prayer. After 45 years of marriage, I found myself alone, and needing to sell my business, my home and downsize significantly in order to move. I was truly facing an enormous challenge. I had professional assistance with the sales of both my business and the house but not a clue as to what to do about liquidating much of the contents of a large, 5,000 square foot, five bedroom house, allowing me to move to a 1,200 square foot, two bedroom condo. I was given lots of different well meaning advice;

's List, Consignment Stores, Garage Sales and even selling things by auction one at a time, on Ebay! I couldn't imagine how I would sell all the stuff I had accumulated, piece by piece, item by item, by myself, in the fairly short period of time that I had to accomplish it! Then I found

. She came over and sat down with me to understand my needs and time frames. She reviewed the contents of the house and proceeded to outline "the plan". From the organization, and set-up of the sale days, to the pricing and tagging of each item, along with, advertising, pulling of permits, traffic control, and even security arrangements,

, and her Company would handle it all! She would even arrange for a dealer to come at the end of the last sale day to purchase and haul away any of the unsold, unwanted items leftover, unless I chose to donate them, in which case she would arrange that as well! It seemed to good to be true! I checked out a few of the customers on her long list of references, along with the Better Business Bureau. The results were very promising and I decided to proceed. Everything she said was exactly as promised and the sale was extremely successful. To top it all off the house was left empty clean and trash free. Suffice it to say I highly recommend

was awesome to work with from the first phone call til they left at the end of the sale.
His employees were the best, hard working, knowledgeable, nice, understanding and efficient.
They were the best employees one could ask for. They did their jobs and did it in a superior manner!
They handled several difficult customers in a very polite way. They were just on top of everything.

is very little for us to deal with after the sale.
I cannot say enough how great these people are Very fair, honest and so everything you need in this type of work. I trust them completely.
If I ever need to have an estate sale; I will call him immediately. And I will gladly refer him to anyone who asks and give him a 10+++ rating on all his and his employees do.

company and would highly recommend them.

"I had antiques and collectibles that I wanted to get rid of possibly through selling them to a dealer or auction house. I picked
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
as they were rated on your list and also I drive by the warehouse often.
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
came out and looked over everything and said I had 2 choices. I could accept a check from him on the spot or I could choose to put the items in an auction which quite possibly would mean more money.
After thinking about it I decided to go the auction route. The items were divided up by
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
and the first group was to be autioned off at his facility in downtown
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
mid-November and the second group would go into an on-line auction to attract more buyers and that auction was Mid-December. He boxed everything up and took it with him.
Payment is usually with in 30 - 45 days after the auction is held and the buyers have paid for the item(s). I received the check for the first auction within 30 days. Over 45 days passed before I called and asked when I could expect the next payment and they wrote a check that day and mailed it. Unfortunately the check was made out incorrectly and couldn't be cashed and their attached inventory was missing several items that should have been part of the sale. Since their office is only open on Thursday and Fridays to accept phone messages it was a bit frustrating. However,
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
did respond to the voice mail messages I left and I picked up a corrected inventory with a correctly made out check.
In the long run it was a worthwhile learning experience and his estimate as to what I might expect from placing the items in an auction was spot on. I did in fact realize quite a bit more for the items than if I had accepted a check the first day we met.

"I won a lovely necklace in an auction that ended on Monday evening,

. 20, 2014. I did not receive an email until the second day after telling me I had won and how to pay, but I had already found the pay section on the website and also saw the hours set for pick up of items. Since I had to work that (one) day and be somewhere else that evening, I could not make the pick up time in the 5-hour window and there did not seem to be any options. I paid for shipping. This is from Cincinnati to Ft.
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
, KY. (A friend later told me that you can make other arrangements, but I did not see that stated.) The package arrived a week later, on
Westover Auction Services Provider Name Locked
. 27. I was surprised at such a cheap paper envelope, with only a self-stick closure. Inside, the black velvet jeweler's box was obviously broken at the hinge and inside it was a slip of paper: the description of the item, folded neatly in fourths. That was it. No necklace, no printout (The above-mentioned friend told me hers always came with a printout.). No zip-top bag to contain the contents nor any tape on the envelope flap.
It is my assumption that the jeweler's box was broken in transit and the gold chain snaked its way out of the open spaces at the top of the flap. Someone probably had a very easy prize before delivery of my broken, empty package.
I contacted EBTH through their website on the 27th and their zendesk contacted me. Today, 1/29, it received an email saying they were 'appalled' that this happened and that they ship their items with 'utmost care'. If this is how they ship their pieces, I'm glad I didn't get anything more expensive. My credit card is going to credit me with a stolen item, since the cost is within my claim amount with them.
I love the idea of the site and was thrilled to

the necklace for my daughter's 16th birthday coming up in November. I will never be able to find another like it. I am so disgusted with the thoughtless packaging. I had also bought buttons (BUTTONS) from an eBay site that week and they came on the same day. The buttons were wrapped in tissue paper, then put into small zip-top bags, and the envelope flap was secured with the mailing label and clear packing tape. $12 worth of buttons.
