Towson Veterinarians Reviews

"I went CHAT for a few years before I finally realized that they want to perform every test there is, whether you need it or not. It was always expensive. Even though she was an indoor cat, they wanted to treat her for fleas. Told me it was necessary anyway. (I refused and years later, she has yet to get fleas.) When I really got turned off was when they would examine her, then come back with a computer generated list, sort of a pre-invoice, of services they said she needed. I finally realized that really it was sort of a custom menu, and they wanted me to order everything on it but I didn't have to. The last straw was when they wanted to vaccinate her yet again for feline HIV, and when I asked, "if she has it, is there anything you can do about it?" the veterinarian giggled nervously and admitted "no." The care always seemed good, but they do unnecessary things, and that's not nice to me and it's not nice to my animal, who would prefer not to be poked and prodded."
"The veterinarians and staff are wonderful with our dogs. We have two senior female labs, who have required varied treatment and have been well cared for. The staff is patient and helpful and Dr. Gernhart always takes the time to really examine our girls. "
"It was a busy night. The people at the registration desk and the assistant were very nice. After the vet examined my dog she explained what needed to be done (he needed several rows of stitches to close the wound) and gave me a cost estimate. She said that it would be several hours before she could operate on him and suggested I go home. She made sure he received pain medication and that the wound was cleaned and remained clean. The surgery went well. I picked him up in the morning and he healed very well. I don't remember the cost."
"Falls Road Animal Hospital does a great job when I bring my dog in. The people are friendly and very good with animals. Everyone is professional and helpful. They make you feel comfortable. I think my dog gets good care here. I would recommend them to others."
"This vet is one of the best. He is actually on TV. He cares for both my dog and my cats. Usually the checkups including everything run around $100. It really all depends on what you are getting done and what you need to purchase. I have been to may vets before and this one seems to be very smart. He took really good care of my dog at this visit. I am very pleased to say I go here."
"I have been going to them for 20 years. They always do a great job. They show a lot of compassion toward the animals. I sometimes have to wait and they are not cheap but it s worth it. They give you Multi Pet discounts which are great as well."

is incredibly attentive and kind. She clearly loves animals. She doesn't push unnecessary tests or procedures, but she is very thorough. The prices are very reasonable. Her staff is very nice but sometimes a little unprofessional. It's easy to get an appointment, but the wait once you're there can be long. I would recommend this practice if you're looking for quality care with a down-to-earth approach at a reasonable price."
"We have two other dogs who treat with Dr. Gernhart. She is very good with the dogs, always taking her time to examine and treat them. They maintain long office hours and it is easy to get an appointment. The staff is friendly and the office is clean. Our dogs are cared for very well."
"I've dealt with them for years and they have been excellent in care for animals and very reasonably priced. They have always been very responsive and make time to see you when necessary and are good and kind with the animals."
"I think that everything about them is excellent. They give excellent care and advice about my dog's needs. I think that their prices are really fair and reasonable. I never have long to wait."
