. 3, I called
because my heat was not working (that was the day before the big freeze started). They came out on Saturday (the 4th) and diagnosed the problem and the need of 2 parts… an inducer motor w/capacitor and a pressure switch. The technician was very nice and helpful and let me know that on Monday the parts would be ordered right away and because we had no heat we would stay as a top priority customer. I called first thing on Monday to make sure the parts had been ordered and when to expect the repair and the staff told me they were busy and that the technician shouldn't have told me a time frame for the parts and they would call me right back. I did not receive a call, so I called them back at noon and was told they would call me back later in the day or Tuesday. Then I got a call back at 4:40 that afternoon and was told about the parts needed and the pricing. I said yes, get them ordered please. At that point I had no idea when the parts were actually ordered and the staff was very vague each time I called back to check status. In fact, some staff seemed annoyed that I was calling. Some background, my husband and I had a 4 month old baby, one dog and 2 cats. (we had to pay to put our dog in the kennel the 2nd half of the week). The baby and I were staying at my mothers and my husband was in that cold house all week trying to prevent the pipes from freezing. I called
at 9am on Friday,
. 10th and was told that the parts had come in the day before and I could schedule a Monday installation. Here again, I am not sure why I had to be the one calling the staff and no one called me. I asked if I could get my heat fixed sooner since I had already been without heat for a week. They said there was no way anyone could come out any sooner than Monday to repair my 3 yr old unit.
After speaking with
on Friday and confirming that the installation of the parts would not be until Monday (which would put me at 11 days without heat), I called my brother (who is an HVAC tech in VA) just to talk to him a little about it. He had said from the beginning that it sounded odd that the switch and the motor were both bad because that rarely happens (and my unit is only 3 years old). So he had my Dad go up to my house and he wanted to walk him through a few steps over the phone to check a few things.
technician that had come to my house told my husband that there was water in the fan, which was odd but he didn't know where it came from and never bothered to investigate. He just said we needed the new parts. So when my Dad came to the house (with the help of my brother on the phone) he simply followed the drip and realized that the condensation pipe to the outside of the house was frozen solid. He took a hair dryer and dried it out and then pulled out a huge piece of ice. He turned on the heat and it worked perfectly. The house was warm again in only a few hours.
Nothing was broken and nothing needed to be replaced. A little check by your technician into what was actually causing the problem could have solved all of this a week earlier. And had my Dad not gone up there and solved the problem, I would have paid your company over $600 for parts and labor that I did not even need, and the problem wouldn't have been fixed.
Also, due to this misdiagnosis my husband spent the week sleeping in a freezing cold house (the coldest it has been in 20 years) to keep space heaters running to prevent the pipes from freezing, I had to put my dog in the kennel which cost me $72, I had to take 12 hours of vacation time from work when I just came back from maternity leave a month prior, and I had to drag my 4 month old daughter to my parent's house for a week and mess up her entire sleeping routine.
Originally, I had paid $89 for the diagnostic check and once hearing the issue, I will say that
gave me my money back without much issue. However, had I not figured out the problem I would have paid hundreds of dollars for something I didn't need. And overall, I was not treated nicely the entire time and I had to follow up constantly with them to find out what was going on instead of someone calling me. I realize at the time it was very cold out and I'm sure they were very busy, however if you can't handle the business you have then you should turn some of it down, instead of giving poor service. I won't be using this company again.

Both our units were on the
, we had no working heat in our home. they came same day actually within few hours. told us what was wrong and gave us a fair estimate for replacing each unit. we did not hire for the replacement because we did not replace used home warranty to repair but even they said it was a quick fix and units needed replacing. we will consider LEVEL when the time to replace comes. they were very professional and seemed to be quite honest and trustworthy which is very important when looking for someone to do repairs in your home.

Nothing bad to report. He showed up on time and checked out the system since we hadn't used it since moving in two years prior. After that he completely disassembled the fireplace and cleaned everything up like new.

He was prompt, courteous and very considerate of keeping dirt out of house. He poked around, tested some things and decided it was the single stage gas control valve. Approximate cost for repair was $1000. The furnace is 22 years old so I asked for a price comparison to new, which of course he couldn't give me. I would need a separate appointment with their sister company for that. The furnace new is about $2300 excluding installation. I was loathe to pay $100 so I went online and bought a new valve for $135 and put it in myself and of course it still didn't work. Called another company, had a gentleman come out and diagnose and repair a high limit switch on the chimney. That repair was $125.00. So I'm a bit disappointed that BlueDot misdiagnosed the issue which cost me a new valve unnecessarily and still didn't fix it. Also am a a little disgusted that they wanted $1000 for a $135 part, I could see paying up to 3-400 for that part, but the markup was ridiculous. I felt as if they were taking advantage of the fact that we had no heat and it was really cold. Also, am disappointed that they didn't actually diagnose the real problem. Will not use again.

Excellent service provider! They kept in constant contact with me once I scheduled my appointment. I was even informed when there was a possibility that the part that was ordered for me may not arrive on time. The part did arrive and the work was performed as scheduled. Very professional! Excellent communications - even when I called the office about billing. I highly recommend

After reviewing the space with me, the installer identified the location of the unit and how he would tap into the HVAC system and utilize the water line. It was a breeze (no pun intended). The tech was here for about 2 hours - just as expected.
My basement utility area is cramped, but the tech was able to work around everything.

We invited 3 companies to come out and give us an estimate
to replace both the gas furnace and the central air conditioning unit. The
first company was one I had known from a previous job, I called asked about the
brands they carried and set the appointment. The sales person was going on 30
min late when I called to find out what happened. He said he misread his
calendar and would be to the house in 15min., 20 min. later he showed up. He
then told me he didn’t carry Carrier, after I was told on the phone they did.
This was a Wednesday morning; he asked if he could have until Monday to deliver
a quote.
The second company is a large local firm who advertises on
TV a lot. They showed up on time and went over the specs. The sales person
never stopped talking, he even talked over me. He went to his truck and
produced his quote in about 20min.
The third company was

little late, but they called to let me know he had a dental emergency and would
still come out that same day if I were available. He came out, went over
everything, sat at my table and worked up a quote.
I had to call the first guy back on Tuesday of the following
week to see where my quote was, that he offered to have ready on Monday.
Needless to say he did not get our contract. He had the lowest price but he was
not bidding the top of the line Carrier units I had asked for.
The second company was 25% higher the

They covered my floors, both the wood and carpet. The techs
wore booties and swept up after themselves. They were both very friendly and informative.

I purchased a Big Deal on 11/5/13 and I contacted
Owings Mills HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and HVAC by email and gave them 3 estimated dates to come out and perform the heating/cooling services that I had requested. I was so surprised when I got a call stating they would be out the very NEXT DAY to perform my furnace inspection! They showed up on time and were very pleasant and very professional. The inspection showed that I needed additional services performed and I don't even feel the need to get any other estimates for the work. I am scheduling

to return to finish the work. I trust their experience and I know they do excellent work for a price I can afford. I am a very satisfied customer and I highly recommend this company.

They showed up on time; did the work efficiently and explained everything. They also advised me on the condition of my system and potential future service issues, but didn't try to upsell me on anything.

The experience with Air Solutions was very good. They provided a very competitive proposal and were generous with time in answering questions. The day of installation was hot, but the guys worked tirelessly. There were a few items that needed improved following the initial installation and they came back for an additional half day to "make it right". My husband and I were looking for a company to not only install a new system but be our long term service company. We are pleased to have found Air Solutions.
