Business Description: OVERVIEW A Cut Above, LLC was formed in 2005 with the goal of producing custom wood cabinetry and built-in wood furnishings of superior quality while delivering top quality service to its clients. FOCUS ON THE CUSTOMER Designing, building, and installing custom woodwork requires a close connection to the client in order to meet their needs – both esthetic and functional. We are focused on you, our client. Your project, your requirements, your tastes, your satisfaction are where we focus. EXPERIENCE Our experience if focused on designing and building custom kitchen cabinets, custom media cabinetry and media rooms, home offices, libraries, built in bookcases, bars, and mantels. We build all of our own cabinetry and we make our own moldings and trim. A Cut Above has developed supplier relationships with providers of specialty wood products in order to deliver the widest variety of custom woodwork available. We can build your project in any one of over 100 species of domestic or exotic hardwoods. If your project requires custom veneer applications or if you require custom wood carvings – just let us know and we can deliver. We are a small company of several employees which enables us to work closely with you to design your built-ins exactly the way you want them. Then, we will mill, assemble, and finish the project just as you want it. We can install your custom cabinetry ourselves, or we may use one of several installation specialists to install it. Or, if you have a contractor already we will gladly work with them to facilitate installation. In any case, we are licensed for residential by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, MHIC# 127369. Our projects typically range from $10,000 to $75,000 and up depending on the scope of the project, the type of finishing that is required, and the level of detail designed into the trim work for your project. An initial in-home consultation is complimentary.
