was great, very thorough and knowledgeable. He made a house call to pick up clock and also delivered. Gave us some background on the family airloom we didn't know much about. Highly reccommended.

Took pains to demonstrate the need for a full overhaul and generally, to explain things and to explain how to take proper care of the clock in the future. Was prompt, courteous, friendly. Final cost was almost exactly the same as his estimate. Guarantees his work, is prepared to answer follow-up questions until everything is running just perfectly. A major overhaul is not cheap but is the only way to keep a family heirloom running. And if you need a total overhaul, then you want August from
to be the one to do it--he knows what he's doing. The clear education in how to keep it running should prevent this kind of major cost from recurring soon. Very pleased with the service and conversation.

Excellent and efficient service. Owner arrived right on time, was smart and cordial, and took care of our crippled clock without a problem.

I inherited a 30 year old

grandfather clock from my mother. The manufacturer and their authorized service dealers recommend that the movement be lubricated and serviced every two years. I'm positive that the clock was never serviced in the 30 years that my mother had it.
Bill made an appointment to come out at 7:30 AM on a Tuesday before he opened his shop. He was right on time. He walked me through all of the steps of the service and my options. He dismantled the face and cleaned and lubricated everything, then put it back together and set it. He also gave me advice on caring for and setting it. Very knowledgeable and patient. It's been two weeks since he left and after a couple of minor adjustments to the pendulum, it's keeping perfect time! (+/- 30 seconds every 7 days, which I believe with a few more tweaks I can get down even further.)

cost $1000 dollars new 22 years ago. We find this price to be outrageous. After googling the price online we found it to be reasonable to charge as low as $200 and as high as $500. We will not be back with this vendor.

He removed the workings of the clock.
He oiled and cleaned the workings
He had to replace a part that the pendulum attaches to, which was a bit awkward but he got it.
A new nut was placed of the small bolt for the hands.

, also was very good in explaining what he was doing, how the clock was going to work and did suggest that if I wanted to replace the movement, he called to make sure it was available and the general cost.

He was friendly and I was extremely pleased with the service. I will call him again when I need or decide to replace the movement.

After moving cross country the hour striker on our

mantel clock was off, at 3 o'clock it would strike nine times. When I called
Gwynn Oak Antique Clock Repair Provider Name Locked
to ask about fixing it they told me over the phone how to do it myself! The instructions were clear and within a minute of ending the phone conversation our clock was chiming accurately.

I am so pleased that they helped me over the phone and at no charge that you can be sure I will use them in the future and recommend them whenever I can.
- Valzora S.

It went well. He assessed the problem, took the clock itself then repaired it, tested it and brought it back. The process took a couple of months. A total professional. I recommend him without reservation.

I would definitely recommend

Danno to anyone wishing professional repair service for a treasured object. He did a wonderful job on my Grandfather's clock. It now runs, well, like a clock!
It was a pleasure to listen to him and learn something about the care and maintenance of these clocks. He also said the clock would take about two months to repair. He was right on time.

The movement was partially frozen and he had to remove all the old oil. He replaced it with new oil, touch-upped the base and regulator and did a test to make sure it was running okay. He delivered it to my house and set it up. No problems as of today.
