Glen Burnie Roofing Contractors Reviews

"They showed up exactly as scheduled and got right to work. They laid down tarps to protect the yard and shrubs and used a large truck to collect the majority of the tear-off as they worked. One section of the vent caps did not

down properly so they took it off and did it over without any prompting from me. The new roof looks wonderful and I know it will last at least 30 years. They used all premium materials.

called me back the evening I called him. We played phone tag 2 or 3 times but we finally set up a time for him to come give an estimate. He came the day and time agreed upon. Two days later I received the estimate e-mail and it was great. The others I received where ridiculous, one was almost 3 times as much. He warned me when I talked to him originally that he was very busy at the time and it would at least be into the following month before he could get to it. That was fine as I was in no hurry, we had no leaks, but I knew we had problems that would become leaks and the current roof was 20 years old. With the wet rainy early summer it turned out he was about 3 weeks behind in his estimate, he e-mailed me they would begin on 8/15. This was a problem for us. We had a baby due on the 19th and they were looking for him to be early because of his size. I asked him if there was anyway he I get it done before then. He said he didn't think so, his schedule was pretty tight, but he would check and get back to me. I kept my fingers crossed. I have no idea how he did it but he changed it to 8/5. We were ever so greatful to him and his crew and also to whoever his client was that switched their time for us. It rained on the 5th but his crew came on the 6th which was a Friday and finished on the 7th. The crew was efficient and nice. They did a great job, especially having to work around a pond right behind the house and they didn't let stuff drop in it and they cleaned up the yard extremely well.

and his crew were GREAT!
"A sales representative knocked on our door after they completed a job on a neighbor's house. We knew that we would soon need to replace the roof, so we got a price quote for replacing the shingles, some plywood, and the gutters around the house. The contractor called us and scheduled a time for the project. When they started taking the shingles off the roof, it became apparent that all of our plywood would need to be replaced. The project lead was able to get the extra plywood and complete the entire job in one day. They even got the entire mess cleaned out of our yard before they left. They even worked with us to find the best financing possible for the extra cost. Everyone we worked with was extremely friendly and very customer service oriented."
"I was extremely pleased with this company. My rep was

, and he went way above and beyond what one could expect. He came out to our home several times to answer questions and go over things when he sensed we had additional questions or concerns. (Getting a new roof, after all, is a big deal.) I thought he was very honest and fair, and he also threw in some extra service! The work team arrived exactly at the appointed time and finished the job in one day. Clean-up was excellent; the whole thing went seamlessly and I couldn't have asked for a better company or experience."

is easy to deal with. Gave me a great estimate just what i was looking for. Started job on time and finished on time. Him and his crew did a great job. Very helpful, any future projects that need to be done will be his."
"We required 1 piece of new plywood on an overhang that had rotted due to a leak. But that was not a surprise to us and the cost of possible extra plywood was spelled out on the proposal that

up for us. The installation crew came exactly on time, got right down to work, and went at it continuously (except for their well-deserved lunch break) until the job was complete. I felt so bad for them, because they were up there in 90 degree temperatures installing a charcoal black roof, with the wind blowing

and maple tree "helicopters" at them the whole time. Not fun! Two things that impressed my husband and I were that before the work was started, the crew put giant blue tarps hanging from the front of the house to protect the house and the landscaping from falling debris, and the meticulous clean-up afterwards. The wind had blown roofing paper and debris all over the yard and also our neighbor's yard. The crew and foreman (he was not one of those NON-working supervisors) gathered every scrap. Getting stuff out of trees, brushes, and the neighbors yards. Not a nail in site on the ground afterwards and a leaf blower was used to clear any roofing "dust" from the patio, front porch, and walkway. Which was great because all those tree "helicopters" were cleaned up too. Extra bonus. Overall, a very good experience and the new roof looks great.
"UPDATE to earlier report taken via telephone transcription:

Roofing work to our carport was finished on 5/18/11. On 12/28/11 I came home to find my husband on the carport NAILING DOWN the roof that was coming off again. We tried to contact

"Overall, they were fairly quick and did an above average job. I have some framing experience so from what I can see I cant say they did a perfect job but I'd say they did above average. Their price was very reasonable, too."

was the only salesman/installer that discussed in detail what to expect and the exact price I would pay, including any extras if needed. Price was very reasonable for a licensed and insured contractor. I highly recommend this company."
"I originally purchased an Angie's special minor roof repair to be performed by A-One. It took me at least six phone calls before the owner called me back to set up an appointment. When he finally showed up he said my damage was not minor and it could not be repaired that day. He set up an appointment to come back and give me an estimate. He showed up late, got up on the roof, and talked to me about the repairs that were needed. He gave me an approximate price of four to five thousand dollars, and said he would send me a written estimate as soon as he got back to his office. I never heard from him again. I waited two days and contacted several other Angie's roofing contractors."
