was great on the phone when scheduling. I got an appointment within two weeks and got my Angie's discount. The service technician called several days" before the appointment to ask if my schedule was flexible because due to cancellation, he could come earlier than originally scheduled. Schedule change worked for me.
arrived right within the newly scheduled one-hour window.
and helper were personable, professional, and very tidy. Job was completed within the predicted 4 hours. The job looks great. Can't speak to durability as
was just completed. Thanks

was very responsive with calls both ahead of and after the job.
showed up exactly when he said he would on the day of the reglazing." He was friendly, efficient, and neat. He fully explained what to expect, the length of time to wait to use the tub, and what to do following the curing process. It is a "smelly" process, but he did all he could to vent the area (not easy in my house). I had a very positive experience. Following the curing process, I noticed a number of pin holes on the bottom of the tub that I immediately reported to him. The tub looked GREAT, and the pin holes were really unnoticeable to anyone who didn't know any better. I was just concerned that water may sit in them and create a problem over time. He was concerned about that and sent a nice young man out to rebrush the bottom to avoid potential future problems. This is a great company that takes pride in their work! I have already suggested
Glaze to someone else. I love, love, love my "new" old tub! Thank you,

OK - terminology issue here. The "shower pan" is a collection liner than underlies the shower floor itself, and is designed (if built and plumbed right) to trap any leakage from the shower floor and route it to the same floor drain pipe. Example image here, copper in this case -

It sounds like your are saying the shower floor or base unit failed - likely a fiberglass or plastic shower, which commonly fail due to incomplete support under them. This can be repaired if fiberglass, but is not usually done unless just microcracking, as it is hard to find an expert - usually you have to have a car body fiberglass specialist or a surfboard repair expert do it, and the color will not match perfectly unless you get a new gelcoat over the entire base unit. Cost about $300-500, ASSUMING the material can be repaired - true fiberglass can, thermoplastic can sometimes be welded but anyone's guess how long it will last without cracking again, plastics like PVC can rarely be fixed so they will hold someone standing on them. Any sort of repair is likely to crack again, because you have done nothing to remove the cause of the cracking which is standing on a base that is not fully supported over its full extent. Some cheepo or desperate plumbers try injecting non-pressuring type expanding foam underneath to improve the support - this does a great job of supporting it but unfortunately supports mold, so starts stinking in short order as a rule.

The normal fix is to remove and replace it, because once it is out there is no sense in putting a damaged one back in for the small increment in cost. Removing it means taking the shower wall liners or the bottom row or two of tile out so you can get the new base unit into place (because they overlap it), then replacing them. So, the $3000 range indicated is indicative of this type of job, which typically runs from a very low of around $1500-2000 for an identical base unit, to more typically $3-5,000 depending on whether a shower enclosure or tile walls. Of course, when the new one is put in, it is CRITICAL that it be fully supported - this means rubbing plumbers rouge or similar marking substance on the bottom, test fitting it, and then lifting it out and checking that all the stiffener ribs and support pads made contact with the pan, and making adjusments as necessary until it has full contact, then standing in it and rocking back and forth to check for any points not making full contat and fixing them.

The $10,000 plus numbers you got must have been for entire shower replacement down to the joists and studs, and the $30,000 range number would be typical for a full bathroom remodel with new shower or shower/tub and doors and surround, wall finishes, vanity, sink, toilet, and flooring and door.

Bathtub Refinishing reviews in Glen Burnie

On the day of the appointment, the dispatcher called three times saying that he could not find the location in his mapping software. It took a while for us to figure out that he had misspelled the street name. Even after that experience, the technician still arrived on time. He completed the job in a few hours, then called me when the job was complete. They offered many payment options after completion. The technician cleaned the work area before leaving. The tub looks like new. Great job.

was recommended to me by a tile vendor in
Glen Burnie Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
Island that I have used for a long time and value their opinion. When
Glen Burnie Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
came out for our appointment her gave me a quote and I agreed we on the price. He cleaned and etched the shower floor and we agreed on a date to finish the job. He came on the agreed date and while he was there I showed him the chip on my refrigerator and he fixed that also. I couldn't be happier on the finished job and would highly recommend him.

We had similar work done by this company several years ago and they did a fantastic job so we called them back.
The work seemed to go fine although I don't think it was the same person as the previous job. Within a few weeks there was some cracking around the drain. I have called several times requesting that someone come out to fix it and to date no one has ever called us back. I left another message this morning even though we are beyond the warranty period in the hopes that they will stand by their work. I was reluctant to put a bad review here because I know sometimes small businesses have issues with illness or injuries but I am frustrated that none of my calls were returned.

We got an appointment and they stood by the warranty. They repaired the issue and mentioned sometimes there are issues with the paint around older drains. It looks good and I am pleased with the outcome. They also said they would come back if it continued being a problem and suggested if it happened again we might want to replace the drain. I am pleased with the outcome and would call

again if I want to do this to our other bathroom.

Glen Burnie Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
and his assistant came early on a Saturday morning (in December 2013) and worked all morning scraping away the old refinishing material and then basically painting our tub with a

of plastic paint. It looks great. He scheduled the original job with surprising speed, kept us informed about when he would get here, and showed up on time.
When we asked him to come and repair the damage we had caused it took several weeks before he could stop in, and then he called to cancel once but came when we told him we really needed to be able to use the tub because we were expecting company.
Our only problem with the process is that the tub surfacing material is really fragile and requires more special care than we wish. Ideally, we should wipe the tub dry every time we use it. You are not supposed to use any cleaning chemicals except vinegar, and this is ecologically a great thing but doesn't get our tub clean enough. In addition, last week I stained the tub when I hung black clothing to dry over the towel rack in the back of the tub and the dripping water pooled in the center of the tub, leaving a gray

that won't come out.
We would have this work again because it looks so much better than what we had, and we'd have

do it, because he is great, but this is nowhere as good as the original enamel.

I wanted t mention that
Glen Burnie Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
responded as soon as he read this review and offered to come and remove the gray

that I mentioned above. This is consistent with his excellent responsiveness. I plan to wait to see whether it fades before we schedule him to visit, but I really appreciate him contacting us so promptly.

We have used them in the past. They are always easy to schedule an appointment. They always call before coming.

takes his time and doesn't seem rushed, also very pleasant. They get an A+ all around.

Gave a quote for $450~ - with $70 being to remove the old finish. When the service man completed the work and handed me the bill, he told me he was able to do it without removing the old finish and only charged us $380. While overall that was a pleasant surprise, I would have preferred to have been given the option/ask questions.
Tub looks really good!
My only complaints about the quality is that A) They coated up on the wall/tiles a little bit in the corners (Instead of following the round curve of the bath tub, they taped the tub off at 90 degrees and coated everything). It doesn't look good, but it doesn't look too bad either. B) they didn't recaulk the tub or mention anything about if it needed it / should be caulked.
All in all, I'm happy so far! Definitely a lot cheaper than a new tub!

He sent someone out i(n
Glen Burnie Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
of 2011) to refinish my bathtub. After about 4 months, the tub began to peel in two small areas. I tried to contact
Glen Burnie Bathtub Refinishers Provider Name Locked
and he was very busy. I lived with the spots. In March of 2013, we arranged a time that he could come and refinish the entire tub (by this time many areas had peeled). It took several times to arrange a time within his schedule for him to refinish this tub. After it was completed, it looked beautiful again. I was extremely careful to clean the tub as told, However, it is now 10/2014, approximately 1.5 years later (from the second refinishing) and the tub is peeling again. I am confident this is a product that does not work. Do not be fooled into refinishing your tub with this company. IT MAY LOOK BEAUTIFUL AT FIRST, BUT IT DOES NOT LAST!
