"My dermatologist referred me to Dr Berkes at
for surgery after a biopsy showed I had skin cancer. But when she examined me, she said the" biopsied area looked so well-healed that it was possible I didn't need the surgery. She took a second, deeper biopsy, and it turned out she was correct. All the cancer apparently had been removed by the first procedure and I was able to avoid the surgery. The office is a very pleasant looking and cheerful environment. The staff is professional and helpful.

"My husband and I LOVE this physician group. I don't normally give all As in ratings but it's very deserved. When we first walked in to their very large" office, we immediately thought "oh no" this will be so cold and unfriendly. But, our experience has been wonderful. Staff is plentiful and friendly. We generally only wait 10-15 mintues for my husband's appointments. And, here's the best part. My husband's
Physician (
) actually prepares to see my husband. Let me explain. In between routine scheduled visits, my husband suffered a heart spasm and was hospitalized. We, of course, had all the medical notes from the hospital and cardiologists sent to
doctor. When we arrived for a scheduled office visit about a month after his cardiac incident, I assumed that I'd have to brief the doctor on my husband's cardiac emergency and admittance. But, when the doctor walked into the exam room, he said "Well, I see that you had a busy month since your heart spasm." We were shocked that he told us that he always reviews a patient's chart so that he is prepared when he walks into the exam room. Again, they set the standard for great primary care.

inspires confidence. He quickly diagnosed the problem, stepped me through his reasoning, and treated the issue. He took extra time to answer questions and allow my daughter to calm down.

I had gone in and they were going to do two things for me. The first thing, they had gone through and explained it. When I came back to have it done, I asked if how long it would last. They said it's about 3 or 4 months. I said, "Oh my goodness. It's only 3 months and I have to have it done again." They said yes. I said, "No. Thank you." She got very mad at me. She came in and she did the procedure on me which she had half-heartedly done. It was just poorly done. I was really ashamed. I couldn't put several dollars out for it and she was pissed. It was just a mess. I tried to stop the payment on it. This is my way to tell her that I'm unhappy. Her availability was fine. The staff was friendly but she wasn't. I would never go back.

The worst experience ever. I'm an RN and understand insurance and my plan. At the time of the visit, I inquired about having a mole removed (elective) and if they would call my insurance for preauthorization to see if it was covered and not going toward my deductible. I was told it was covered 100% I decided to have that one and 2 others removed and sent for biopsy. (Did not even require stitches) Surprise, bill came from them and insurance did not cover and I'm responsible for the balance of 3 "surgical" procedures that I never would have had done. Billing denies they would have done that. I feel very deceived and would never recommend going there.

He took biopsies of spots that many other doctors dismissed as harmless in the past. The results for all biopsies taken was negative but each biopsy cost me a ton of money. After
Elkton Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
's bill and the lab's bill for examining each biopsy this stupid visit cost me about $800!!!!!!!

My latest was a follow-up exam after a severe reaction to chemical treatment for pre-cancerous cells from which I had a severe reaction that was treated out of state. Office exam was pleasant and fine. The doctor prescribed a salve and it was to be called into our pharmacy that we had used with
Elkton Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
prescriptions in the past. Visit was relatively early morning and script was going to be sent promptly. Went to the pharmacy mid-afternoon and prescription had not been received. Returned to pharmacy the next morning and still no prescription. Called
Elkton Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
and as is the norm, waited more than 5 minutes to talk to a living being. She advised that script had been sent to another branch of pharmacy. Called that branch and they had not received any prescription. Then
Elkton Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
representative learned that script had not been sent. She promised it would be sent promptly to the correct branch of CVS and that I would receive a call "soon" to confirm and it is now several hours later (on day 2) and no call. Communications with
Elkton Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
are terrible at best. Phone system always has kept me on hold for at least 5 minutes. Follow-up is relatively non=existent. Patient Portal permits communication but only about billing or scheduling. Very frustrating bureaucracy with which to attempt to deal.

I believe the results were in line with the laser technology provided.
I have done more research on laser treatment technology and I found that my expectations were too high compared to the results I received. It takes multiple treatments for hair removal to be effective (more than three). This has to do with the different stages of hair follicle growth.
For the laser skin treatment, I was not happy with the results because I had the treatment done previously in another state and the results were fantastic. I have since learned it is all about the type and quality of the laser equipment the facility has. I paid twice as much in the other state, but the results were worth it.

is wonderful and her nurses are too. She listened very attentively to all that I said, taking notes while I spoke. She explained in detail her recommended course of action. She was efficient, but not hurried. Furthermore, when I got light headed during the biopsies (quite embarrassing) she and her nurse were so kind and compassionate.
I believe that Dr
Elkton Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, experienced, and competent. Her practice seems more focused on the medical side of dermatology as opposed to the cosmetic side, which is exactly what I needed. At neither of my visits was the wait long or the waiting room crowded. I was very sorry to move away from Gulfport and
Elkton Dermatologists Provider Name Locked
her as my dermatologist. If I am ever living in the area again, I would go back to her in a heartbeat.

He took the right amount of time without being too slow or too fast. He seems to really care about his work and his patients. I never felt like it was going to be a botched procedure.
