She received her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina and her M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Maryland. Carolyn taught special education for 10 years in public schools. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), The Learning Disabilities Association of Montgomery County, and Phi Kappa Phi. Carolyn is currently in private practice as an Academic Therapist. She is enrolled in the Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center's (ASDEC) Certified Academic Language Therapist program (CALT). In addition, Carolyn is teaching Reading at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland.
