Ophthalmology Reviews in Bethesda

It was easy to get an appointment, they were on time when I went in - everyone was very nice and extremely professional. I had a good exam - Dr.
was easy to talk to - and when I got my new glasses I could see so much better! I do not hesitate to recommend him!

Great. Total time in the office was just over an hour, including pupil dilation. Dr.
is a total pro, nice guy, down to earth, good sense of humor. Wish all docs were like him.

Ophthalmology reviews in Bethesda

I made an appointment with Dr.
Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
for my son to receive an eye exam (he failed his school eye exam). We are a military family, so I checked with our insurance company before making the appointment to ensure that Dr.
Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
was a 'preferred provider', and thereby covered by my insurance. He was on our list, so I made the appointment. The day of the appointment, the office manager insisted that military insurance would not cover the cost of the appointment, and she had me call my insurance company while I was standing in front of her to confirm that my son could indeed be seen by Dr.

. This was humiliating. Dr.
Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
was not able to help my son; he said that since he was so young (5 yrs old), the eye exam was not very accurate. He thought that there was most likely a visual deficit, but to come back in 6 months and have him checked again, and perhaps my son's ability to answer the doctor's questions would have improved. This was frustrating, of course, since the school year would have been over at that point. Additionally, we have been in a prolonged and frustrating discussion with the
Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
office over the payment for my son's treatment. Even after all of the discussion with the office manager prior to our appointment, we were billed incorrectly. When I called their office to discuss the problem, their office manager hung up on me. They have thus far refused to change their erroneous billing for our appointment, and since our insurance will not cover the fancier (for lack of a better word) treatment, we have payed the bill out of pocket. Please take my advice, based on our recent experience, and AVOID DR.

I picked Dr.
Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
to do my Botox because he is an ophthalmologist and has many years of experience. The first two times I went, he gave me fair prices for Botox and I was satisfied with the results. When I went back today, he charged me approx. $100-$150 OVER the going rate for "one area" of Botox in Northern Virginia. I understand that you pay a little more for skill, but this was too much. He also doesn't have any set, readily available pricing guide for Botox, which I find annoying. Why is this info such a secret? His demeanor was slightly condescending, but he was not rude. Anyway, he may be a very good doctor and surgeon, but I would not go back to him for Botox due to his unfairly high prices.

All of my treatments have gone well. In all cases, Dr.
Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
or one of his principle staff will call to check on me the next day and make sure all is well. In the few cases I've had suspicious symptoms or unusual reactions to a new medication, he has seen me right away.

I like Dr. H and his staff and I think they're good at what they do. I recommend getting the earliest appointment possible. He's always running dreadfully late. I had a 7:45 AM appointment (the third appointment of the day) and had to wait 45 minutes before I was seen. It's very frustrating.

Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
was recommended by my dermatologist to remove a large mole at the corner of my eye on the eyelid. She diagnosed it within seconds, explained in detail how she would go about removing it, gave me options (awake or asleep). I decided I'd rather not be awake. The surgery was scheduled at a surgical center, no complications at all, healed very well, no scar. Dr
Bethesda Ophthalmologists Provider Name Locked
struck me as extremely bright, very thorough. She isn't exactly an opthamologist, I don't think. She's a specialist within the field. I'd go back to her in a heartbeat.
