Computer Repair Service Reviews in Bethesda

It went very well. He diagnosed the problems and solved them quickly, explaining to me what he was doing as he went along. He took measures to help me keep my computer clean from viruses. I highly recommend his services.

WOW, what a treat. My computer is now fast as lightening. I spent ninety minutes with
on the phone as he remotely worked on my computer. Super nice guy, great recommendations on how to not fall back in the same bogged down performance, knowledgeable and affordable. Can't ask for much more!

Computer Repair Service reviews in Bethesda

I called Mr.
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
at Micro Geek at 8:30am on a Sunday morning. He returned my call within one hour and was at my house that same afternoon.
I had wireless connectivity issues with my laptop. I spent 2 hours on the phone with
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
the night before and they could not help me - they said they had to "escalate the issue" and I would hear back in about 2 days. I also called my internet service provider, FIOS, and they could not help me and also said my issue had to be "escalated".
So I decided to look on Angie's list and found MicroTech. This turned out to be a great move on my part.
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
arrived at my house and he was able to identify the issue and fix the problem within 15 minutes.
I found Mr.
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
to be very knowledgeable about computers, wireless, networks, etc but he was also very professional and courteous (ie: he took his shoes off when entering his house - I did not ask him to do this and it was not necessary but that gesture showed a certain respect that he had for my house).
I will not hesitate to use him again for a computer/wireless network/printing issue.

The computer had so much malware on it that it was nearly impossible to use the internet, as you were being redirected everywhere.
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
took all the stuff off, increased the efficiency of the machine and installed an additional couple of programs to avoid future problems. The computer has been running like new since. I should also mention that this is after two failed attempts by other contractors to fix the machine.

Based on the excellent reviews on Angie's list, I can contact
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
late last year when I was having problems with my old desktop computer. Bottom line in that situation was that the computer had to be replaced, and
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
provided great guidance on how to select a replacement appropriate for our needs. 9 months later, I started experiencing unexpected and frequent program terminations and restarts when on the internet. Since
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
had provided good service previously, I contact him via email about the current issue. He responded almost immediately, and we set up a remote diagnostics session. He explained that he couldn't guarantee that he could identify and correct the problem, but he did say that the general cleanup of the system should help overall performance. Upon completion of the remote session, I provided
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
with my credit card information for payment of the charges.
On 10/18/13, I was checking my bank account and noticed that the charge for
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
' services was $99, not the $90 that he quoted on the phone and that was stated in the invoice that he sent. I sent an email asking for clarification and if he thought I should contact my bank about the error. On 10/21 he replied that he had contacted the processing company to find out what happened. I had not heard anything by 10/25, so I sent him another email saying that I didn't mean to be a pest, but the incorrect charge was still on my account and asking if the processing company had given any idea how long it would take to correct the error.
I still had not heard anything from him by 10/30, so I sent another email asking about the status. I commented that I recognize he is a professional in that he responded to my initial communication in a very timely fashion and immediately contacted his processing company. But I also reminded him that the problem was at the processing end, that I had originally contacted him 12 days prior but had not heard anything since his initial response, and that he was the only one who could follow up. I stated that I would appreciate his doing what he could to get the problem fixed.
He responded within 15 minutes in what I would characterize as a surly and offensive
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
, saying "You need to understand that I'm in a very busy period and can only call during normal business hours. I really don't appreciate the
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
you are taking with me....." I was shocked by his comment and replied that I was sorry if he misinterpreted my message as anything other than a customer trying to figure out why the over-charge was still on my account. I commented that part of being a successful independent entrepreneur was managing the financial part of the business, and that scolding customers was perhaps not the best approach. I was simply trying to get some information on the status of the over-charge. His reply was very defensive, saying that he had tried to call the processing company on "multiple occasions over the past 2 weeks," but had been put on hold, and that he couldn't afford to spend the amount of time on the phone that my problem was evidently requiring. I replied that all he had needed to do was send me a 1-line email letting me know that he was working on the issue. All I was asking was a little communication from him.
During the course of that email exchange, he was finally able to get through to the processing company. He wasn't able to issue a partial refund, but said he could give me a credit toward future service or pay me the amount of the over-charge. I requested direct payment, and he remitted a $10 credit to my PayPal account.
Even though he wasn't able to correct my internet program shutdowns, I don't doubt
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
' technical abilities. BUT, he has much to learn about the "people" side of his business. I do not appreciate the manner in which he responded to the polite concerns of a repeat customer.

The worker arrived an hour late. He was totally unfamiliar with the problems of my computer: freezing, etc. When an hour was up, I reminded him that this is the length of time owed me. He stayed for 20 more minutes but left after promising that he would email the address of another program that would improve the performance of my computer. To date, I have not heard from him. I wasted my money with this firm! Before he left, he had me sign a
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
form filled out by him showing that he had done the work on my computer. I signed it because I wanted him to leave since he wasn't able to fix the problems.

Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
remotely tuned up my computer, removing malware, unnecessary files and cookies, etc. He checked the registry, and looked at the Start Up files, removing any that were not neccessary. During the tune up, he answered my questions, and provided instruction on how to use certain files in Windows. I asked
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
about an older program that created files with an extension that was proprietary to the vendor, so I could no longer open the files.
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
set about to solve the problem for me and we talked about some possible solutions. He agreed to continue working on the problem. Later that day, he came back with the solution, and the problem was solved. My computer is decided working faster, and the problems I was experiencing with malware are gone. This is the third time I've had
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
service my computer and I'm always very pleased with the results.
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
is very nice to work with. I definetly will continue to use this service.

I emailed
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
through Angie's List, and he called me within a few hours (on a Sunday afternoon). We met that evening after he asked about my schedule. He explained the possible problems that could have happened to the hard drive, and explained what he'd do to figure out which. He took my hard drive, promising to call as soon as he knew, which was the next morning. He'd tried for several hours to recover my hard drive, and explained what happened and what the next steps might be. Unfortunately, the drive was completely dead, and would have needed extensive and expensive repair at another professional facility. I decided against further repairs and he offered to destroy the hard drive securely.
VERY polite and professional.
Will definitely work with him again if I have additional computer repairs!

Outstanding knowledge and expertise, and just honest and nice guy ... make
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
your 'Computer Guy'! In addition to fixing the system, he took time to listen to our needs, and then both explained and taught as he proceeded with repairs. He discussed alternative options to consider, and made cost-based and cost-effective recommendations based on our needs and lifecycle condition of our legacy system. His no pressure approach gave us an optimal soultion at a great price for our legacy system, and he offered free advice on things to think about as we consider purchasing a new system.

I called Mr.
Bethesda Computer Repair Services Provider Name Locked
on the recommendation of a tough critic--my daughter-in-law who specializes in mainframe work for a local company but needed some help with home computers for herself and spouse. He was responsive but also candid about his time constraints. He made a total of three visits--two to effect improvements and a very brief follow-up to clear up some of my misunderstanding of how our little mini-network works.
