I contacted ADS with a very tight schedule to have my sons complete the course before they started college.
got right back to me and said he could do it.
even got the boys back early on their Mother's birthday.
The sons completed the course in 8 days taking Sunday off. They now have their license. They were happy
with course and felt it helped their driving.

Great driving program. My son learned a lot and the instructor he had was excellent. The cost is high but in the end I think it was well worth it. I really liked that when you called their number you got an actual person to talk to about the program. They are one of the few that I found did this. I liked that the class was two days instead of just one - and they brought in a truck driver to talk about trucks and cars on the road together. That was excellent information for new drivers. I was very pleased with
's program and would highly recommend to others.

My son
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
just completed The AA drivers school course. Before I add my comments on Angie’s list, I wanted to pass on some comments/suggestions which might help improve your service in the future. First your office staff made the paper work, scheduling, DMV process easy! They answered all my questions and gave very helpful tips for navigating through the DMV process. I had to reschedule 2 drives and once again, my phone call was promptly returned and the drives were rescheduled hassle-free.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
had 5 drives with “
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
” which went very well.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
spoke calmly, gave directions, instruction, helpful suggestions and boosted his confidence.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
received one c on the first drive then 4 B’s on the other drives with the 4th drive comment ...”ready for driver’s test.” After the drives I would take
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
out driving in the evening and he would work on
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
’s suggestions.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
was confident and driving well...then he had his 5th drive with
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
...a disaster drive! First they entered a new, larger car
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
had never driven and tried to adjust the seat.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
was quite irritated and yelled at
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
for not knowing how to adjust the seat! Then
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
gave directions,
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
followed, then would be abruptly, rudely told the task was done wrong and he would be flunked....for example,
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
stopped at a white line at a stop sign...then not having clear vision he advanced up past the white line to see oncoming traffic, then turned...and was told he would flunk,
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
tried to explain or ask what to do...and was cut off...no,no you would flunk. Then during part of the drive
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
started answering text messages, then talked on the phone.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
tried not to listen in on the casual conversation but
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
would shout out directions in the middle of the phone conversation...”change
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
.” Then he got off the phone, yelled at
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
more told him one more mistake and he would flunk him...have
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
pull over, he would drive back to the school and make
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
pay $30.00 for a repeat lesson!!!!! Wasn’t
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
suppose to be giving a lesson...not giving a test!
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
should not have been on the phone having casual conversations during the short 50 minute drive. If
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
changed
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
incorrectly, wouldn’t it have been better to suggestion trying the task again with some suggestions for improvement? How could
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
give
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
“B’s” say he was ready for the test then
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
give
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
a D- ??? Was
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
wrong or
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
? Having driven with
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
during the 3 weeks I would say
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
was rude, impatient and simply a poor teacher. The consequence was
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
’s bad grade then gave
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
a C in the class and he cannot take the test ahead of time. Also just when
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
and I were guessing
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
must have been having a bad day,
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
ran into another student who casually asked how his drive went.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
simply said...”It did not go well.” He quickly responded, “Oh, you must have had
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
!” So obviously
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
has been the same poor instructor to other students also. His reputation precedes him. The office staff was wonderful. Thank you
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
for your excellent instruction and suggestions for improvement.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
I am glad
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
only had one drive with you and suggest you stop threatening the students and instruct them or find a new job.

First i wanted the real scoop on driving schools so I called KS Dept of Transportation in Topeka to find a good school. Their director of something to do with driving education recommended
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
because all the instructors were either police officers or high school teachers. And that was the only school they recommended.
So I enrolled my now 21 year old. It is scheduled for 2 full days plus 8 hours of driving time which is scheduled by the student. Easy. I had some experience with driving schools with my step kids in another state and the instructors were not professional and didnt really teach anything. I have to say that with the first kid, the classes went well, he was enthusiastic, and they finished the driving part in a month.
With my second kid who is 17 now, I found that he learned a lot. He has some attention deficits and isn't really a great student but he came home from this 8 hour class and talked for an hour of all the cool things he learned. They had a truck driver and a cop give some practical tips and stories and they had him engrossed. He
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
comes up with a driving stat or tip every now and then that he learned that I had never heard before. It was impactful, professional and well run and my kids got a lot out of it.
I highly recommend BTW and have given their name to many friends.

The provider structures their pricing so that if you do not wish to continue after the first lesson, you have already spent half of the total cost of 4 lessons ($180 - 90 minutes). The instructor took my inexperienced daughter into heavy traffic on the first day. Communication is difficult and seems unorganized.

This is a very unreliable company that I will never recommend nor do business with again.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
, from
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
, had been highly recommended by 2 friends who had used him to teach their teenagers to drive. I met him at my friend's house one day and got his card - he wrote his cell phone number down and told me to call to set up an appointment. Well, I called and left several messages which weren't returned. Finally, I called the school itself, and made an appointment, with the man who answered the phone, for
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
to take my son out. He was apparently very busy and the appointment was for 3 weeks in the future.
About 15 minutes before the appointment, we got a call from a woman who said she was on her way to give my son his lesson, but where did I live? I explained that
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
was supposed to be doing the lesson. She didn't seem to have a clue. I asked her to have someone from the company call me. No one did, so I finally called. They apologized - said something about
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
not knowing who we were so they scheduled it with someone else - REALLY??? Of course he didn't know us! We were new clients! They told us he could give our son a lesson in 3 days time (suddenly he has time?) We accepted and
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
showed up for the appointment on time. It was supposed to be a 2 hour lesson - it ended up being 1-1/2 hours. We scheduled another appointment for a week and a half away - and he wrote it down on the receipt he gave me. I subsequently referred
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
to a friend, and he took out her son with no problems.
Today was supposed to be the second lesson and
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
never showed up. I've called his cell phone several times and left messages which have not been returned. I called the main number, which just rings and rings - not even an answering machine. This company is extremely unprofessional and unreliable, and I will never recommend them again.

My daughter needed some extra driving practice and review for the road skills test after living in cities and overseas for the past few years. There were some initial hiccups with scheduling, which is why "responsiveness" only gets a B grade here. (D for the main office, A for her instructor.) She scheduled the lessons over a month in advance, including dates and preferred times, and was not contacted with final information until less than 48 hours (zero business days) before the first lesson. (She followed up twice the preceding week and was told "soon".) At that point, she was asked if her dates were flexible, which--by then--they were not. There was some back-and-forth with the main office but eventually everything was worked out. Her instructor,
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
, was very helpful during this process and was punctual when the lessons began.
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
was extremely patient, calm, and informative during the lessons. He reviewed all the basics with my daughter, who'd done almost no driving in over six years, then gradually moved on to bigger challenges, like highway driving and parallel parking. He was full of great tips for the road skills test, and each lesson was a mix of new challenges and review. By the end of the week, she was ready for the test and passed it with flying colors!

We were never contacted by an instructor to schedule behind-the-wheel lessons. I'd spoken to
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
on two occasions, the initial phone call at the end of June and approximately two weeks before the end of
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
. I was assured that we would be contacted by an instructor to schedule lessons for the last week of
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
- it never happened. Please keep in mind, I originally requested their services around the end of June and was told they would not be able to schedule my son until the end of
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
. I decided I would wait the month because of the good review from my friend and from what I'd read on Angie's List.
So, after waiting an entire month, a phone call two weeks prior to the end of
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
and assured an instructor would call, another call 7/25/14 - no answer, just voice mail and the final call on 7/28/14, I made the decision to work with another driving school. I had also given their name to a friend at church, so their son could complete behind-the wheel training as well. Best believe, I will let them know they are better off going elsewhere.

We are terribly disappointed in this program--at least at the
Bel Air Driver Education Provider Name Locked
, TX, location. We signed up for the Advanced program, which includes "priority scheduling." However, it's not until your child receives their learner's permit that you find out there are no lessons available at this location. This has been the case for over 3 weeks--no lessons available on their website! And there is no phone number for the local office listed on their website. I had to physically go to the office to try and figure out why there were no lessons. I was told they don't have enough instructors. Since you need to choose a location when you sign up for this program, the location should know how many people are currently signed up and need lessons. It is unacceptable to take hundreds or even 1000+ dollars from people and then turn around and say they can't support that many people. They cite the fact that it's summertime--a busy time for driving lessons. Is this a new idea?!?!? Why didn't they staff appropriately to accommodate the need for summertime lessons? Until they get their act together, no one should sign up for this program and instead look for a different one.
The online courses have been pretty good, but it's terribly frustrating to have your child complete all of the online courses and wait weeks or months for the driving lessons.
