Luggage Repair

Sturdy, well-kept luggage is a requirement for a great trip. Even the best suitcases start to wear eventually, however, meaning you'll probably need to consider some kind of luggage repair.

We were quite satisfied with the service we received. The price was quite reasonable, the quality was good; the repair was completed in a reasonable amount of time and the service in store was prompt and courteous.

by their outstanding reviews on Angie's List. Called to ask if they repaired leather coats. Said they did and asked some questions about the damage and said to bring it in. The side of this coat had gotten caught in the car seat belt and torn some of the leather away from the backing. Some of the leather was also missing. The repair patch was done very well and for a very reasonable amount of money. Others that I had called wanted twice what I paid. The coat was to take two weeks to get back. It took a couple of extra days to have it done, but was well worth it. This place is a fantastic resource for all things travel and luggage too. They have it ALL. While there we also purchased some RF (radio frequency) proof wallets and passport covers to keep private information from being scanned by identity thief criminals.

Great service and very friendly staff. The work was done nicely and ready when promised. My only complaint is that it takes around 3 weeks to get the work completed. I would prefer a week or less.

briefcase handle had worn and torn away from the case part. I took it to this business because they repair leather. From the time I walked in to the time I picked up my fixed brief case, I was very pleased with the service. They repaired the brief case handle by adding the same color material and sewing it very nicely to reconnect it to the rest of the case. I received a claim check before I left and was contacted when the work was done 7 days later. You can barely tell the a repair was done it looks so good!

The shop took a week to give an estimate and then reported they were not equipped to repair. Disturbingly, after taking a week, they said we needed to retrieve our bags immediately, or they would become their property. This was never mentioned before. It was very suspicious, to say the least.

I contacted the company and they said to bring the suitcase in so they could look at it. As they are about 30 miles away it took me a while to get down there, but when I took it in they said it should take about two weeks to fix and cost about $40.00. I called them about three weeks later and was told it was not done yet and to call back in another week or two. When I called back the person answering the phone asked me to hold on while he checked on the progress; a lady came on and told me they were unable to fix the handle or to find a replacement part as the manufacturer got parts from several sources in China. She offered to keep looking if I'd like so I agreed as it would be about two weeks before I could get down to that area again.
When I went in to pick up my suitcase they confirmed they were unable to fix it and brought it out to me. Unfortunately it now has NO handle, just a hole where the handle was. I was in a hurry so did not think to ask if they could put the old handle back on as I could still pull the suitcase that way, just not use it on airplanes as the handle would not retract. They did not charge me for any work.
I would have appreciated knowing ahead of time that there was no handle on the suitcase so I could ask if it was possible to put the old handle back on. The man answering the phone both times I called seemed reluctant to give me the bad news.

It went very well. At first he wasn't sure he would be able to fix one item (a piece of light-weight luggage with a bent aluminum pull handle), but he gave it a try, and it came out fine.
