My car was picked up on a Tuesday by the transportation company and loaded on a truck with several other vehicles. To my surprise the car was delivered on the next Saturday. The service was professional, timely and at a reasonable price.

The driver who picked up the car was very courteous and explained the paperwork and process. He was so professional, we thought the car was in good hands. The car was picked up in Southern California on June 16 and was to be delivered in Pittsburgh, PA on or after June 26. We received a call on June 21 saying the car was ready to be delivered. We were not going to be at the destination for five more days, so we were told that extra storage fees would apply. When we did get to Pittsburgh, we called and left messages saying we were ready for delivery, but no calls were returned. A day later, we were called at 4:30 p.m. and told the car would be delivered within two hours. At 8 p.m., there were no calls and no sign of the car. Again, we called the dispatcher and left messages that were not returned. At 10:30 p.m., we received a call from a driver saying that he was outside with our car. It was dark and we were unable to thoroughly inspect the car for damage. The interior of the car smelled like lighter fluid and the doors on the drivers side had several scratches. Calls that were placed about the damage have not been returned. The company transported the car as they said they would, but communication was poor, there were no responses to our concerns, and the car was damaged.

Service was provided as part of a corporate relocation. Contact with
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
was great in scheduling and quick to pick up the vehicle in Dallas as well as timely delivery in Seattle. Unfortunately, the car showed a good bit of damage on the passenger rear quarter panel. An area about 12" wide and 10" hide of a series of horizontal scuffing. The scuffs appear to be in a pattern of a flapping tarp during the long haul transport. Also found was considerable grease stains on the driver side door panel and on the driver side floor mat (on the
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
and not covered by the paper mat used during transport). I assume this was done during transfer between the long haul carrier and local tow truck providers (both of which were professional). I am in the process of filing a claim but am considering an alternate service provider for my second and third cars. Cannot recommend them to others.

Communication was prompt and professional. Cost was reasonable and up front. Any issues or questions were promptly addressed and answered. Many auto shippers (or at least the contracted carriers) can be shifty and tricky regarding actual cost. I'm glad I read all the reviews for this company and that they upheld their reputation for being professional and trustworthy.

at
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
is an absolute pro. The transaction was

, the driver polite and professional, and my car was ready for pickup upon arrival in Minnesota. I was even permitted to place a fairly heavy box of personal items in the back. The price quoted never changed, and from what I have read that is NOT a common experience in this industry. Kudos to

It's so nice to have my car and my stuff intact and ready half-way across the country!

Outstanding service, overall.
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
was responsive, set realistic expectations (as we were looking to ship the car over a holiday weekend) and in the end far exceeded those expectations. The service that showed up on site was equally as responsive and customer service oriented. Honestly, as we had never had to move a car before this experience, they made it incredibly easy and stress free. I would highly recommend this group.

his is the worst experience I've ever had regarding shipping vehicles into or out of Alaska. Once they got my money, they were pretty much unavailable by phone, and certainly didn't bother keeping me updated on anything.
I initially contacted the company several months before I’d planned on shipping to get a quote. Then, once I was ready to ship it
to my parents’ house, I started the process 6 weeks before I’d planned on having the vehicle arrive at its destination.
I had planned it that way as it’s a classic that’s been in the family for years, and we’d all planned on doing some work on it over the holiday for some family time. It's a sentimental family classic car. I live several hundred miles away from my parents, so it was crucial that it arrive sometime during that week.
This company does business as Alaska Car Transport out of Anchorage, but they’re located in New
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
and have no physical presence there at all. Not even a single local representative. So they had no idea where my car was 90% of the time. Once they received my money, they were nearly impossible to reach on the phone. I’d given them two phone numbers, one to my mechanic in Anchorage, and had talked to the broker
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
, extensively about the vehicle, that there was local help should they have any issues with the car, and all other details he’d need to know. I also wrote the same information and contact numbers on their booking documents.
Yet, every time I called, they were confused about where the car was. And this despite the fact that they were the ones to have had it towed from the mechanic’s to the port of Anchorage. At first the brokers (

), kept vaguely referring to something called “the yard” which supposedly got used as a storage area before actually taking vehicles to the port to be
put on a ship, but after many phone calls and questions, I finally realized that (since they have no offices or any physical presence in Anchorage at all), they were either referring to the actual port, or possibly the tow truck yard or Horizon Trucking (a Vendor of Roadrunners) yard. At one point, though the vehicle had been picked up on 12th of June, the Roadrunners agents kept stating
things like “well you dropped off your car on Friday (meaning the 13th) or “you dropped off your car on Monday (the 16th). The car had initially been slated to be put on the ship on the 13th, and I’d called several times leading up to that time, only to finally get in touch with someone who had several different stories as to why it hadn’t been put on the ship on that day.
First was that the driver hadn’t made it to the port on time because he had to pick up other cars. When I pointed out it had been
picked up the previous day, the story changed to they had trouble with the
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
(instructions on how to do so were explained very thoroughly to the initial broker, as well as written out), then it was ‘oh no it wasn’t the
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
they got that, it was the hood”. My question was “and why didn’t they contact me, or the local mechanic? He would have sent someone down if necessary”? They hemmed and hawed and had no answer. Not to mention, they managed to make it all work just fine the next week.
One of the few times they actually called me was to tell me the car wouldn’t ship on the 13th, but the following Monday the 16th. What they actually did was not put it on a ship until the 17th. Then they told me that as soon as it was off the ship in Tacoma, they’d call me to let me know, and would put it on ground transport as soon as it was off the ship and checked out. They never called
to let me know when it docked. I'd kept track of the shipping
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
and I had to call them. Then, once it finally was in Tacoma, they
changed their story to not “as soon as it’s off the ship it will be transported” to “well, we have to wait until we have transportation in the area”. I called and called and they kept claiming they were “waiting for transportation. It sat in Tacoma for almost 2 weeks before the last time I called; they claimed it was going on a truck on the 11th of
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
. Their website says 14-15 days from Anchorage to the Midwest. At present time, it’s about 10 days past that, and hasn’t even left Tacoma.
At this point, I still have no idea where it is. The company simply doesn’t care. If this was this big of a hassle, they should have made it VERY clear how catch as catch can this process was, they shouldn’t have misled me by saying the car would be there the week I’d scheduled it to be arriving.
The frustration level from their extremely poor communication and misleading promises is the worst part. If only they’d been HONEST about their abilities and had communicated clearly and reliably, the lateness of the car wouldn’t be nearly such an issue. I hope to save anyone else from having to go through this.

Had a very good experience with
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
, getting a relative's sedan shipped from Florida to Illinois. We had a narrow 2-day window when car would be available for pickup. Even though we were totally flexible on how long shipment would take, it ended up being about as fast as that route can go (5 days). Shipped in early summer, after the heavy window of "snowbirders" who ship cars was over.
I got quotes from several firms, which ranged from $695 to $1295.
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
wasn't lowest (see my "ABOUT CAR SHIPPING" section below this) but was on the lower end. More importantly, speaking with this company instilled confidence in me that they knew the
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
and what to price our shipment at that would get a driver to take the contract, and that they used drivers they were confident in and used frequently.
They were the only company who was willing to answer my questions about how certain they were a driver would be lined up (and gave reasons-- like a sedan being desirable to drivers (lighter, easier to load, smaller to add onto a close-to-full car trailer). They were the only ones who didn't quote me a higher price for having only a 2 day window for pickup, and who guaranteed my price wouldn't go up. She knew the
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
well enough to know exactly when drivers would be willing to commit to our job, explaining that with only 2 days available for pickup, rather than needing to start far in advance for more time to line up a taker (as one might think), drivers would be deciding to take the job only very close to the date (end of prior week), when they could be certain how their routes were
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
out and whether they'd make it to FL on those exact 2 days.
In short, I feel like we got a very good value on our car shipment, from a company that knew the
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
and what they were doing, provided an excellent experienced driver, was transparent and up front with us, and delivered exactly as promised.
ABOUT CAR SHIPPING:
It's important to understand that car shipment companies are mainly brokers, serving as the logistical go-betweens to line up drivers and small trucking companies to transport your car, and not the trucking company itself. Their service is putting your shipment needs out to bid, vetting the truckers (it's mostly solo or small trucking companies that do this work), and serving as the liaisson if anything goes wrong. Most require a deposit (as their fee), and remaining amount of quote is paid directly to driver upon delivery as their cut (typically required to be cash or cashier's check, FYI).
Research told me there are many dubious firms out there, that may not screen truckers carefully, or will quote you a low price to lock in your business but it means your contract is put out to bid at a lowball price, which may not "get picked up" by any drivers (or any drivers you'd actually want), and price gets raised significantly last minute "to get a driver". Lots of horror stories. So I asked a lot of questions.
For example, one of the other companies I talked to (don't worry, I'm rating them on Angie's too) emailed a quote with "$50 discount included !", and only further down it mentioned "be sure to claim your discount". When I asked what they meant by "claim my discount", it turns out that to actually get the price I was quoted, I would have to go online and leave reviews on a couple websites afterwards (which I read in customer reviews requires providing personal info to create accounts, and then firm touts all their "positive reviews" in their advertising). Otherwise, my price would end up being $50 higher. Very misleading not to tell you what's required for the discount you've already been given right on the quote. Also, their quote was for a pickup window of over 2 weeks long, when I had indicated only a 2 day window (so they changed to a much higher price for that when I asked). They couldn't (i.e. wouldn't) give me any odds or even a general idea of how likely it typically was that contract like mine would be picked up at the low price they quoted me, and wouldn't guarantee that was the price I'd end up being charged. And they seemed miffed I knew enough about how it worked to ask questions like that.

I worked with
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
at
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
and they gave me a low quote, which I didnt know whether to believe or not at first. However, when it ended that it was going to be more than the quoted price,
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
brought his fee down so that the total price would meet the quote. The driver they chose was pretty good. Although the dates he gave me changed a bit. There was about a 3 day window. Which is understandable, and the car came safely.
Aberdeen Auto Transport Companies Provider Name Locked
was great, when I couldnt get in touch with the driver he immediately called them and they called me back. I would absolutely do business with them again and wish I had known about this company the first time I transported my car.
