"My dog was not her usual self (looking and acting strangely), I contacted my veterinarian office and they fit her in the same day. He fully checked her out & did all the expected" lab-works to dispel any illness. She is being monitored at home and feeling better. This veterinarian clinic is very clean (no pet odors), the staff is very professional/caring, and the doctor is brilliant. He is knowledgeable in all modern veterinarian techniques, but also skilled in homeopathic medical treatments (i.e. acupuncture, etc.). Dr. Zinderman has been taking care of my pets since I moved to the area, I have been impressed by his devotion to the care, comfort, and wellbeing of his patients (my pets). They also have a wellness plan that covers my dog semi-annual checkups and annual teeth cleaning. I will continue to use this clinic for the care of my pets and would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

"It did not go well. n fact it cost them my future business. When I called them to reserve the two cases they warned me that it was getting close to my dog's next yearly physical" time at the end of November, and that they could not sell me food past that point. I told them that I knew that and that I would be making an appointment for Yoda very soon. I suffer from neuropathy in the lumbar spine and it is very hard for me to get around, so my mother offered to pick up the food for me this day. When she got there she was told that she would only be sold one case because it was too close to my dog's Nov 17th exam date. Since it was only Oct. 10th on this day, this means that I would come up short in his food and would need to order another case prior to his Nov 17th exam. As there is no way for me to know if my mother is able to pick up the food for me in the future as she was able to on Oct 10th, I was very upset with this
. They really inconvenienced me just to make sure that I would be there in November to book my dog's yearly exam. WHY WAS IT SO IMPORTANT FOR THEM TO MAKE SURE THAT I WAS GOING TO BE THERE IN NOVEMBER WITH MY DOG? So they can squeeze even more money out of their already cash poor clients? Needless to say, their actions have gained them the complete opposite effect, because now I will be taking my dog to another
for his yearly exam in November.

"After a protracted
for a
who makes house calls, I contacted Dr.
. He is a very good communicator, returns phone" calls promptly, and was punctual and very respectful of my time. Mine was a very difficult situation for a veterinarian to manage. My cat reverts to feral behavior when it's necessary for her to see a
, so Dr.
had to sedate her during a very extreme display of panic behavior. He managed to do this while maintaining a very calm demeanor (despite the scratches on his leg!) and to keep me calm in the process. He then examined her, diagnosed a potentially significant problem, vaccinated her, clipped her claws, prescribed two medications, and instructed me in how to medicate her and what I might expect in the future. Having all this done without the added stress of taking the cat to a veterinary clinic was a huge boon to me and I am very happy to have found Dr.
. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my pet-owning friends.

Angie's Answers

?

Hi

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
?
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
(CAH) has been there for my pets through the last decade. They have gotten my dogs thorugh illnesses and when their time came, helped me to send them to heaven peacefully. CAH always fits you in if your dog is sick and there is an emergency. The vets there are kind and caring and I have never regretted taking my pups there. They also have helped me to get get some pretty complex referrals for knee surgery for my dogs and gave after durgical care that was top notch.
Thei grooming services are great and reasonably priced as well. I plan on using their new doggie daycare soon. Their prices are pretty comparable and seem in line with average costs. Although the staff does try to help you to avoid expensive treatments by preventative medicine.

I cannot stress enough how much pet owners should beware of using the services here for anything other than routine preventative care. I would not even recommend this location for that. They don't know the meaning of informed consent. The Vet gave my dog a shot of Convenia and never explained that it was an antibiotic with very deadly side effects. It stays in the system long after the shot. This was after my dog just had been treated at
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Veterinary Hospital with an antibiotic for the same thing. Convenia is very expensive $141 and I suspect it was an issue of profit or a relationship with a drug manufacturer. It can cause hemolytic anemia and my dog had a hematocrit of 15 when they gave to him. It almost killed him after he was improving significantly. He could not breathe and was gasping for air. The nurse came in and told me it was for pancreatis and it would shrink his pancreas. Later I found out Convenia was for skin conditions and many pets have experienced severe adverse effects - death being one of them. Now that I have his medical records I see my dog's Amalyse numbers have been high since he was 6 months old and he likely did not have pancreatitis and if he did the last round of antibiotics at CVS would have taken care of it.
I attempted to speak with the Dr who prescribed it but she refused to ever speak to me to explain her decision. They made several promises that she would but still nothing over a week later. I went there in person ad spoke with the practice manager,
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, who was all about the money and not giving a refund and although not being a doctor focused on telling me to just essentially
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
my dog (put him to sleep). She said she wouldn't give a refund because I consented to the drug. I then explained to her that I couldn't truly have consented if I was given false information. It was not informed consent. Then she had another doctor who did not even treat him that visit, tell me to put him to sleep 5 times. She said Convenia had to be given to him since he wouldn't eat. Yet they gave me two other prescription pills to give him by mouth and he just had a round of 5 different meds to take by mouth from CVS and he took them just fine. I had been hand feeding him. Then this non-treating Doctor said he wasn't breathing well because his hematocrit was so low but it was that low when he came in and the medical records listed his breathing as normal for that visit. She then said he had been dying for two years and it was time. (Funny no one told me that two years ago). It seems they would rather be right than save my dog's life. They told me to put him to sleep when he was 6 months old too and he is now 4.
Thankfully, he has gotten better treatment and is doing much better. He has been going up and down the stairs, wagging his tail like crazy when he sees me, following me everywhere, barking at the pizza delivery person, coming down to guard when the door bell rings and most importantly now he can breathe. I know he is still not 100% but he is happy. I am so thankful I didn't let them pressure me into doing what was not right for him yet. I recommend probiotics and natural homeopathic remedies for azotemia and CRF and an appetite stimulant for a short time.

is fabulous. When I adopted my first cat, I got to take her there for a free check-up, and I was hooked. Now I cannot imagine taking my little babies anywhere else.
They are slightly more expensive than other places around, but it is well worth the extra cost. They have several vets on staff and are available 24/7 for other needs/concerns. Every time I've needed to make an appointment, I can usually get in the next day.
One of my cats is particularly difficult when she has an appointment. Dr
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and her staff are always so patient and willing to think outside the box to get her whatever she needs. I am very happy with
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and would highly recommend them to anyone with pets!

Dr.
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and her assistant arrived 15 minutes early! They came in first to talk, listen and learn about the history of my two babies. The major concern is that I have an aging cat with kidney disease who is absolutely terrified of the vet. Dr.
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
listened and heard me! She empathized and understood our situation and respected my thoughts and wishes for a his care plan. When he was diagnosed with kidney disease in February, the traditional vet kept pushing for more tests, more treatment and more visits despite after his last visit he stopped eating and had horrible diarrhea for 5 days and no medication was helping. I went against the vets recommendation and stopped medicating him. That was in February. The day after stopping medication he bounced back quickly when he realized he wasn't going to be tormented twice a day by forcing medication that wasn't even working.
Dr.

doesn't have an agenda, and isn't just going through a checklist of things to do. She considers the circumstances, the personalities and most importantly the quality of life - even if that means making the difficult decision to not treat his illness. It's not an easy decision, but it's easier knowing she understands and respects it and is willing to help me provide the most minimal care to keep his quality of life while he ages and health declines.
In regards to cost: 2 'comprehensive' exams and rabies shots by the traditional vet cost $160, then the rest of the bill was $300 for a slew of tests. The
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
bill was for an in home visit was $121 and she didn't pressure me to do anything unnecessary or just because it's on an exam checklist created by the practice. What's more important to me though was that the stress to my babies and me was minimal.
I've had to call Dr.
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
again to address another issue and I know she will only recommend what is absolutely necessary and what best fits with our quality of life plan.

No appointments taken, but I walked in near the end of the vets' lunch break (1:30) and there was almost no line; we were seen very quickly.
Dr.
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Park was =wonderful=. Prompt, friendly, super professional--filled me with confidence that we'd get through this.
She suggested a barium swallow and an X-
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, and check back a few hours later. The clinic apparently is very well-supplied, because all this was done on-site and with a lot of efficiency. When I returned at five, Dr
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was able to show me the dozen X-rays they had taken every 30 minutes, which she felt showed that my guy still had some earplugs in him.
Even though it was near closing time, she suggested that they make him vomit to see what came up... she gave him an emetic and up came another ear plug and two of those little felt disks you put under table legs! Who knew!
Then some anti-nausea medicine for the little guy and we were done. She suggested we come back tomorrow for some more looking to see if he still has those last two earplugs, or any socks, screwdrivers or car doors inside of him.
All this for $331!! The exam, the X-rays, the barium, the emetic, the two visits with me... just an incredible value!
I have NOTHING bad to say about the vet we've used in the past---they're great too, but they were all booked up today and I felt I needed to find somewhere else to get my guy in faster... so thanks Agie's LIst for pointing me to
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Vet Clinic!
But yup--great clinic, nice facility, FIVE vets so you'll be seen quickly... INCREDIBLE prices... can't say enough about these folks, and Dr
Worcester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
in particular! I and Tookus thank you!!

The test was not completed because I couldn't get a urine sample. I asked for that part of the test be credited back to me. They refused and told me to find another vet, that I was demanding and rude to the office manager. I didn't get what I paid for and I told them that.
They always demand payment up front before they will do anything.
They said they could stick a needle thru his fur and maybe hit his bladder to get a sample. My cat is 16 years old, too old to risk infection or worse.
They seem to be more interested in making money than careing for my pet.
I will select a different vet asap, I have 3 cats who I dearly love.
