On the next day of work,
When they left, the work area was cleaner than when they started. The only thing left behind were beautiful railings inside and outside.
In this day and age it is hard to find professional who are as professional as
As far as the cost goes, one gets what one pays for. The work they did will surely outlast us!
Work commenced on September 18, 2013 with a contracted project schedule of four weeks. Project was to be completed by October 18, 2013.
On November 23, 2013
At the time the project was abandoned by

Throughout the course of the project there were a host of quality problems:
The new floor in the kitchen had to be removed and reinstalled
subfloor prior to installing the floor tile. We think that expecting a new floor to be level enough to allow for the
installation of floor tile is a reasonable expectation on our part and should not be available only at an additional cost.
clearly unfamiliar with the leveling material and the floor was not leveled. The floor had to be leveled a second time, again at our cost, by the tile contractor.
Two new walls were built as part of this project. One wall was built to cover where a built-in
china cabinet had been removed from the dining room. The other new wall was to cover where the
bathroom door had been in the kitchen.
Both of these new walls are bowed. The wall that replaced the built-in china cabinet is bowed to such an
extreme that the wall cannot be finished on the dining room side and must be
replaced. This wall is still open on the dining room side and it's apparent that the wooden studs that were used are
substandard and twisted and warped causing the bowing.
Some of the cabinets that were installed are the wrong size or, the space was not measured correctly leading to improperly sized cabinets being installed. This has resulted in the cabinets overlapping and intruding on two doorways. The doorway to dining room was overlapped to such a point that
be shortened by three inches in order to fit properly.
The electrical subcontractor brought in by
the job. Additionally, multiple live electrical circuits were left dangling from the cellar ceiling within easy reach
of anyone using the cellar, including my children.
New plumbing under the large sink leaked and water damaged the cabinet
For much of the time there was only one worker assigned to work on this project. This relatively inexperienced worker was completely unsupervised. Clearly, this significantly added to the elapsed time of the project, although there were a number of days where no one was working on the project also affecting the elapsed time.
A lack of professionalism, lack of supervision and very poor quality of workmanship has given me an unfinished kitchen and bath that will cost an additional $9000 beyond the original contract price of $23,300 to put right.
They stayed on time and on budget, were easy to talk to, easy to get ahold of (not always easy with handymen), and the end result looks great.
The price was more expensive than some of the other alternatives I was looking at (mostly 1 or 2 person services), but the price was a bargain if you factor in that the work started and ended on time, was done professionally, and I could always get someone on the phone if I had a question.
I had consistent peace of mind throughout the project. What else could you ask for?
What involved (5hrs)
1. Took apart a very heavy old
2. Went to Lowes to pick up the new
3. Took a few pieces out of the new
4. Put some of the pieces back on the new
5. Connect all the gas fitting to the new
I was happy with the work and asked Bill if he could help me
with the basement window as well.
Interior work often involves hiccups and our case was no exception. None of the setbacks we encountered were due to the provider; the home construction company (which is not the provider) cut corners and it transformed a straightforward job into a complex one. Simply put, in our master bathroom, the builder did not "size" the wall before putting up wallpaper. Worse, the builder used contact cement instead of wallpaper glue to put the paper on the wall. When the wallpaper came off, it took the outer
I originally tried to remove the wallpaper as a DIY'er. When I encountered this problem on one wall, I knew I was in over my head and called in
As a result of all the extra work needed, the project did come in 1.5 days longer and $1240 over the original estimate. During the entire process,
The team was a class act. They came when they were scheduled, they worked hard, communicated often, and did quality work. Rather than rushing the job, they took the time to do it right. We expect to hire these guys again for future projects and heartily recommend them.
