Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping us define the scope of our minor to more major repairs and projects. We didn't want to spend a lot, and he helped us understand how our money would be best spent. He and his team not only did good work and were very diligent and neat, they also were very pleasant and polite. We are very happy with all the work he did to get our house show ready. Our realtor was really impressed with what we had done in such a short time. We couldn't have done it without
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
. He had to squeeze a few odds and ends in beyond the originally scheduled project days, and he managed to do so despite his busy schedule. We are very thankful. Because he is so busy, getting in touch can be a bit difficult, but I think they provide a great value and services. We definitely will hire him again when we need something done in our new home! Highly recommended!

On the first day we received a courtesy call from the office telling us
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
was delayed. When he arrived to drill the holes in the concrete steps, he had a new drill bit. Once the holes were drilled, he installed double railings which he had had made to our specifications. In the process, he discovered some problems under the concrete slab which he repaired.
On the next day of work,
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
accompanied
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
, and the two worked tirelessly all day installing continuous oak railing up 2 flights of stairs. They used a brand new saw blade to ensure that the cuts were clean. They stained the railings to the closest match possible to the existing 110-year old rails.
Both
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
and
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
are very personable and meticulous in their work and work ethics. They were very careful to not intrude, as much as is possible when working in the house. They checked with us every step of the way, making sure that we we happy with the progress and work.
When they left, the work area was cleaner than when they started. The only thing left behind were beautiful railings inside and outside.
In this day and age it is hard to find professional who are as professional as

As far as the cost goes, one gets what one pays for. The work they did will surely outlast us!

At the time the contract was signed
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
represented himself as a licensed contractor. In fact his Home Improvement Contractor License and Construction Supervisor License had been suspended by the state at that time.
Work commenced on September 18, 2013 with a contracted project schedule of four weeks. Project was to be completed by October 18, 2013.
On November 23, 2013
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
abandoned the unfinished kitchen and bath remodel job.
At the time the project was abandoned by
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
numerous missing items and unfinished work remained including:
Missing cabinet next to refrigerator Cabinets over small sink and over refrigerator unfinished Under cabinet light missing 2 cabinet doors missing Trim panels missing from cabinet base All cabinet crown molding missing Weather-stripping on back door missing after door bottom was cut 4 thresholds missing Doorbell missing Dishwasher installation incomplete 1 missing and 1 damaged drawer fronts next to small sink Unfinished walls in kitchen, bath and dining room Telephone line in kitchen missing Unfinished ceiling in kitchen Bathroom door privacy lock missing Paint of all woodwork and trim in kitchen and bath unfinished Kitchen and bath wall paint unfinished 9 missing light bulbs for kitchen lighting Bath and cellar doors unpainted Pantry doors in back hall missing Passageway between kitchen and from hall incomplete Exterior trim for new kitchen window unfinished Bulkhead around steam pipe in kitchen missing
Throughout the course of the project there were a host of quality problems:
The new floor in the kitchen had to be removed and reinstalled
due to
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
's failure to install a flat subfloor and/or level the
subfloor prior to installing the floor tile. We think that expecting a new floor to be level enough to allow for the
installation of floor tile is a reasonable expectation on our part and should not be available only at an additional cost.
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
, at our insistence, removed the floor tile and attempted level the floor, at an additional cost to us, but was
clearly unfamiliar with the leveling material and the floor was not leveled. The floor had to be leveled a second time, again at our cost, by the tile contractor.
Two new walls were built as part of this project. One wall was built to cover where a built-in
china cabinet had been removed from the dining room. The other new wall was to cover where the
bathroom door had been in the kitchen.
Both of these new walls are bowed. The wall that replaced the built-in china cabinet is bowed to such an
extreme that the wall cannot be finished on the dining room side and must be
replaced. This wall is still open on the dining room side and it's apparent that the wooden studs that were used are
substandard and twisted and warped causing the bowing.
Some of the cabinets that were installed are the wrong size or, the space was not measured correctly leading to improperly sized cabinets being installed. This has resulted in the cabinets overlapping and intruding on two doorways. The doorway to dining room was overlapped to such a point that
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
narrowed the original door opening by three inches to make the cabinets fit. Cabinets overlap the hall doorway by approximately two inches. It is also not possible to open one of the drawers in this cabinet as it hits the oven door. You must open the oven first to open the drawer in the cabinet base. These cabinets must be removed and new cabinets of the proper size installed. Additionally, the granite counter installed on these cabinets will have to
be shortened by three inches in order to fit properly.
The electrical subcontractor brought in by
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
as a sub-contractor damaged walls on the second floor of the property and then abandoned the job. Previously working electrical circuits in the attic, second floor and exterior of the property unrelated to the kitchen project were damaged by electrician and no longer working when the electrical subcontractor abandoned
the job. Additionally, multiple live electrical circuits were left dangling from the cellar ceiling within easy reach
of anyone using the cellar, including my children.
New plumbing under the large sink leaked and water damaged the cabinet
For much of the time there was only one worker assigned to work on this project. This relatively inexperienced worker was completely unsupervised. Clearly, this significantly added to the elapsed time of the project, although there were a number of days where no one was working on the project also affecting the elapsed time.
A lack of professionalism, lack of supervision and very poor quality of workmanship has given me an unfinished kitchen and bath that will cost an additional $9000 beyond the original contract price of $23,300 to put right.

were on time, explained all their concerns up front, and kept me up to date with their progress and their recommendations as to how to proceed (we collectively did not know what would happen once they started removing the old shakes).
They stayed on time and on budget, were easy to talk to, easy to get ahold of (not always easy with handymen), and the end result looks great.
The price was more expensive than some of the other alternatives I was looking at (mostly 1 or 2 person services), but the price was a bargain if you factor in that the work started and ended on time, was done professionally, and I could always get someone on the phone if I had a question.
I had consistent peace of mind throughout the project. What else could you ask for?

I called to book the job and they went over the rates on the phone and also followed up with an email about their rates and procedures. On the day of the job, the
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
arrived 5 minutes early and walked through the rates to doublecheck that I understood everything. I then showed him the arears that needed work. He asked questions to make sure that everything was clear on what he needed to do. After the work was completed, he showed me everything that was done to make sure that it was installed and repaired to my satisfaction. He was very professional and courteous and I thought the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use the company again and highly recommend them to anyone considering

I think it went excellent. They came very quickly. Their estimate was accurate and I was charged exactly what the estimate said. They were courteous, did a good job and cleaned up well.

We had begun the work of removing siding and sheathing ourselves but had reached the limit of our experience and comfort level.
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
arrived promptly, diagnosed the water leak problem accurately, produced an estimate quickly, showed up for work early, and completed the job a day ahead of schedule. The quality of work was excellent. He advised us we will need to replace the door assembly in a year or two but did what he could to extend the frame's life. He warned us of potential complications he might find when discussing the work, but once the work began he quickly determined there would be none and let us know. Overall it went very well.

Our experience was very positive.
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
and the crew did a quality job and were professional, both in quickly responding to calls/emails and in addressing our needs. The guys worked hard and avoided taking the easy way out to ensure things looked good in the end.

Interior work often involves hiccups and our case was no exception. None of the setbacks we encountered were due to the provider; the home construction company (which is not the provider) cut corners and it transformed a straightforward job into a complex one. Simply put, in our master bathroom, the builder did not "size" the wall before putting up wallpaper. Worse, the builder used contact cement instead of wallpaper glue to put the paper on the wall. When the wallpaper came off, it took the outer
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
of the drywall with it.

I originally tried to remove the wallpaper as a DIY'er. When I encountered this problem on one wall, I knew I was in over my head and called in
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
's team. He took a look and we both thought it was just the one wall. He gave me an estimate, we accepted, and he started work. As he did so, he quickly discovered the problem was much more widespread, affecting the entirety of the separate toilet room. He had to get the paper down and repeatedly skim coat the wall to try to smooth out the roughness from where the drywall was damaged.

As a result of all the extra work needed, the project did come in 1.5 days longer and $1240 over the original estimate. During the entire process,
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
was upfront about everything and showed us what he and his team were encountering. There was no way that any of us could have anticipated the problems. Further,
Worcester Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
did the best he could to minimize the extra cost to us (saved materials where he could, discounted labor costs on the extended time).

The team was a class act. They came when they were scheduled, they worked hard, communicated often, and did quality work. Rather than rushing the job, they took the time to do it right. We expect to hire these guys again for future projects and heartily recommend them.
