"The trees on my property are large and overgrown and many. I want to keep the wooded look but at the same time ensure the health of the trees, so some heavy pruning and thinning was required. I contacted

at Sav-a-tree and he came out and spent a lot of time with me going over options. The scope of this project is potentially huge, but we focused on taking care of the real problem areas first. He had a quote for me that same day, and promptly schedule a date to begin work. The crew showed up on time, were very polite and immediately went to work. They were very professional and after two full days of work, they were able to do some bonus work that we discussed the morning of the second day. I asked for them to save the hardwood for firewood, and they cut and neatly stacked all the trunks out of the way...i thought that was considerate of them since i wouldn't be able to chop it up right away. No damage to grass or surrounding trees at all. The yard looks amazing, I would definitely hire them again. "

"We’ve had landscaping done before but, every time, the landscaper basically did what he wanted. Sometimes it didn’t turn out well, for instance, when the landscaper failed to take the local deer population or the size of the mature shrub into consideration. If I provided guidance (ie, a list of requested plantings), it was followed only if convenient. This time, I wanted someone who would work with me and design the plantings to meet my objectives and to do well under the specific conditions. Each area of the yard has very distinct soil and sun conditions; what would do well in one area (or someone else’s yard) wouldn’t necessarily do well in another. Additional requirements were that plantings had to be deer resistant, low maintenance, and user friendly (ie, no thorns or prickers).

, was the solution to the problem. She asked for my input and provided guidance based on knowledge. She showed me options, gave me names so that I could research on my own, and provided computer-simulated renderings. For the flower gardens, she ensured that the color palette was complementary and that the bloom times would over-lap to provide the greatest duration of color. She listened to my concerns, modified the plans to suit me, and allowed me to be involved as much or as little as I wanted. When she wasn’t sure of something, she researched it and came back with answers. The long-term success of the plantings was important to her; her approach was thoughtful and logical as opposed to simply planting what was quickest and easiest to obtain at the nursery.

Her crew of young local guys – and

then subcontracted for hydroseeding. I should also mention that

did her best to minimize expenses by shopping sales and sharing equipment rental costs among clients.

We are quite happy with both the process and the results. It was nice working with someone who took the time to really consider the outcome. I only wish that I had before & after photos to illustrate the dramatic change that

has made to our property.

What to know: Landscaping projects can not necessarily be completed in a single season; some things are best planted in the spring and others in the fall. Also, it can take a couple of years for plants to establish themselves, and for modifications to be made based on the success of plants in a particular location. So, be patient!

"A huge part of my tree fell down in my yard the day before an outdoor party involving kids. It wasn't really safe the way it had fallen. Lynch was great and came by the very day as they knew about the party and they were fast, efficient and cleaned up nicely and the price was right. I would definitely use them again!T"

"It has taken him well over 6 months to do the work. He pulled up my main water pipe, ripped up my new wall pipe connection, ripped up with disregard to our existing sprinkler system, took off a portion of my deck (my outdoor shower). Constant delays in schedules, and I just recently fired him due to his refusal and to do the overdue work and the length of time and his inability to come over to do the work on a consistent basis. We have a payment schedule where he is two months behind. Very difficult to work with, bullied me on payments and jobs when things weren't complete. Took him over three weeks once the trees were down to start work. Ordered the wrong blue stone which they had to take back. At this point I have paid all but 85% of the contract, and I am without a grill, granite top, 30%-40% of the plantings, mulch, loam and I have hired somebody else to finish the job."

"The work was not done well. I had requested the tree
Wayland Tree Services Provider Name Locked
to be sawn into 18-22'' lengths for future splitting (by me) for fireplace, and the sawn lengths ranged from 9'' to 15'', averaging 10-12'', which made it difficult to stack them on standard racks. In addition, the workers knocked over two neatly stacked existing woodpiles. I phoned the company looking for help to restack this wood and the service was difficult to reach and and impossible to schedule this follow-up help. I ultimately did it myself alone."

"Called and came out to look at problems. They scheduled a visit, came on time, did a great job. Terrific group.
