He was very nice and showed up when he promised. However, I had sent him a picture showing what I wanted assembled, asked if he had done this in the past and then asked for an estimate for how long it would take. He wanted to be paid on an hourly rate.
The problem came in that he grossly underestimated how long it would take him to accomplish the job. What was supposed to be about a $ 200 to $ 250 job turned out to be over a $ 600 job. I will say that the quality of his work was excellent and he was very good on leaving the work area very clean when he was finished. If you use
, get a firm bid for the job and not an hourly rate.

Cabinet Refacing reviews in Wareham

Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
came to our home to evaluate our kitchen and give us a bid on the work, which he was able to do on the spot. We also got a bid from a cabinetmaker, who does not do refacing, for replacement of the cabinets. This bid was considerably lower than the one from
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
, but the materials they specified would not have been at the same level of quality, and the job would have entailed considerable complication, coordination, inconvenience, risk, and additional expense, with other contractors having to undertake removing and reinstalling our granite countertops, which we wanted to keep. So we decided to go with refacing, which would not impact the granite in any way.

returned to make extensive careful measurements for everything that would be needed, placed his order with the company in Wisconsin that actually builds the doors and drawer fronts, and set a date for installation several weeks away, when he expected to have received the finished product from the factory. We arranged to have him do the installation (
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
does all the finicky finish work of fitting the doors and drawers and veneering the exposed cabinet parts, which he estimated would require nearly three full days of work), while we were away, and for us to return to inspect the work and make final payment the day he completed it, and we gave him a deposit for half of the contracted amount. In the meantime, one of the appliances in our kitchen died (a two-drawer, under-counter refrigerator unit). We ordered a replacement of a different brand (Sub-Zero) that would require custom drawer fronts matching our cabinets. Once we received that unit,
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
again returned to measure carefully for the fronts, and submitted an (expedited) order to Wisconsin for them to be built. Everything went exactly as planned and described by
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
. We did our part before leaving town, removing everything from all the cabinets and drawers and countertops as he had requested. He showed up a couple of days after we left on vacation, exactly as promised, having stayed in communication with us and confirmed the arrangements with a couple of calls. We talked by phone again the day before we returned, and he confirmed he would in fact be finished with the job on the following day as promised. The kitchen was absolutely beautiful: completely transformed visually, even though essentially all the cabinets were the same as before. It looked like a completely different (and much classier and more expensive) kitchen. It was a somewhat challenging job for
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
(I know because I have built cabinets myself): Euro-style cabinets with demanding tolerances for uniform gaps between doors and drawers, concealed hinges. His workmanship (he does it all himself) was absolutely superb. He takes unabashed pride in the quality of his work, and rightly so. The add-on of the refrigerator drawer-fronts required
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
to return to install them a week or so later, as the expedited order still did not quite arrive before the main installation, but that was a very quick job, and again performed exactly when and how promised. The only thing that I could begin to describe as unsatisfactory is the surprise we got at the cost of the additional custom drawer fronts. It turns out that their price more or less doubled because
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
made it a special expedited order, a fact that he did not share with us in advance. Faced with this considerable increase (a difference of about $200), we might have decided not to expedite and simply to live with naked drawer fronts a couple of weeks longer. Then again, we might not have. All in all, we are very pleased with our decision and with our selection of

. If your kitchen cabinets are dated and you want to update the look of your kitchen, but are basically happy with the kitchen cabinet layout, this is really a great option compared to replacing all of the cabinets. You can keep the appliances you have, or update them too (assuming basically they stay the same size and location); the same goes for the countertops. And you can't go wrong with the service and craftsmanship of

We just bought a house with a large kitchen. All yellowish honey oak cabinets in the entire house. I contacted 3 cabinet refinishers and 1 painter but decided to go with
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
because of his expertise and crew size. We were is a rush to get our cabinets refinished before we moved in to our new house. Pat was able to accommodate the tight timeline.
Pat came out and gave us an estimate. Just by talking to him, you can tell he is a cabinet expert in building, installing, and refinishing cabinets. He is not a painter or just a cabinet re-finisher. This is very important because problem always arising with older cabinets and the staining process is very touchy and its good to have an expert cabinet maker that understands and can resolve issues quickly and effectively. Most painters or re-finishers will not know what to do or with old cabinet issues.
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
estimate was fair and inline with all the other bids.
His crew spent a few days prepping, taping off and covering all the kitchen, bathrooms, and hallways. They spend another two days or so sanding.
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
did a sample spray/stain and the color we gave him was wrong. This was our fault. We picked out the stain color and when it was applied, it was way too light. Pat worked with us diligently to come up with a custom stain color. He actually had to do a custom mix of brown, black, and a touch of green stain to get the right color to our satisfaction. This is very difficult to get right and I don't believe most cabinet re-finishers would have been able to do this to our liking. The custom color came out perfect. Its like a fine furniture grade finish where you can still see the beautiful wood grain. I don't think most people know how time consuming and how much expertise is needed to get the stain just right. They have to stain, sand, stain, sand and stain again 3-4 times to build up the finish.
I did upgrade my cabinets with all new hinges so all the doors had a proper tight close. Pat supplied and installed all the new hinges. This makes a big difference especially in older cabinets.
In addition to the refinishing work, Pat and his crew also drilled holes and installed new cabinet pull and knobs. A couple of the other re-finishers said they don't do that, another reason I chose to go with
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
company. Pat also re-mounted my granite support wood pieces. They also installed new felt bumpers for inside of my cabinet doors for a softer close and he was able to install scribe/molding to cover the very small gap between the bottom of my granite counters and the top of my cabinets.
Thanks to Pat and his hardworking crew for all their hard work and effort. Our Kitchen came out perfect and was really transformed.
Just a note of caution to fellow Angie's List members. After going through the entire process, refinishing cabinets properly is a lot more difficult than one might think. It really takes a craftsman to get the color and finish just right. Please choose carefully. Also, choose the correct stain color based on the type of wood of your cabinet. A stain color will look completely different depending on the type of wood it is on. I don't recommend doing a custom stain color like we did because it is very difficult to touch up nicks and scratches down the road. With a standard stain color, you can usually buy a touch up stick or pen to easily fixed scratches and nicks.

The subcontracted painter came late and did not do as well as expected. The rest of the project went well. The subcontractor installed extra back splash tile that was not in the original contract and did a great job. I completed the final touch up items for the extra work that the tile contractor completed.

The experience was great from start to finish. It started with
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
, the one who showed us all of the options and gave us a quote right there on the spot. Our kitchen was the original built with the house in 1992. The cabinets were in good shape and were clear maple. The counters were white

. Completely outdated. We wanted to go darker with the cabinets and granite for the counters and back splash. We went with the Thermofoil
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
and opted for both sides of the doors and underneath the cabinets. We went with a tier 2 granite which was middle of the price tiers (1 to 3) and found exactly what we wanted.
The complete kitchen was about $12,000.
Then we had them build a custom booth for an irregular shaped breakfast nook. The benches provide storage inside and the table was built as a cabinet with a piece of granite for the top that was the same as the kitchen counter tops. We had been wanting a "booth" for this nook for years and they did a fantastic job. This added about $8,000 to the job.

was very meticulous in the entire process, from measurements to providing a quote and in completing the job. His installer,

, did a great job from start to finish - very skilled and very neat, cleaned up the work site at the end of every day and at the end of the job.
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
takes pride in his work and this shows in the results. The kitchen and bathroom came out great and we could not be happier! We were on the fence on cabinet re-facing vs getting brand new cabinets - but after this experience we are definitely believers in re-facing. The end result was really good and at significant savings over new cabinets. We have received many compliments from family and friends who all believe we got a brand new kitchen installed. In summary,
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
did a great job at a fair price. We would definitely use them again and would not hesitate at all in recommending them to friends.

As part of out kitchen remodel we needed everything and turned to Angie's List to begin that process. We found
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
and his reviews were so positive that we wanted
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
to come out and give us an estimate. He brought us some wood samples, door styles, etc. for replacing out kitchen cabinets and drawer fronts. Once we booked our install date he scheduled some time for a full measurement of the kitchen and to go through any custom options or questions we had about the process. He was professional, always prompt at returning messages, and is knowledgeable about his craft (as one would expect). The cabinets are absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

At the outset, I did not use this provide for any service, so I cannot judge the quality of their work. What I can judge is their complete unresponsiveness to emails and phone calls. I began contacting
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
Simonello at the beginning of the week of
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
4. I did not receive any response until
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
3, at which time he told me that they were a small family business and were closed that week. It would have been nice if they had provided this information on their website, on a phone message, or in an auto-response email.
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
indicated that he would call me back on
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
7. He never did. After waiting several days, I called him, him and left a message and again, no response. He finally got back to me a few days later and indicated that he would need to check his schedule to do an estimate. He never called back. I have left several messages over the last twp weeks, but he has not responded.
I have given up on this company. If they cannot be trusted to even respond to a call, this creates a serious question as to how they conduct business. What if there is a problem the the service and the materials? How long will it take them to correct the problem? I think responsiveness to a client is respectful and is a key to a start of a good working relationship. With regard to this,
Wareham Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
stinks. He and his company need to rethink how they treat potential customers.
